Based on statistical data by the State Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan, there has been an increase in tourist visits from 2016 to 2018, while the things that affect the increase in tourists are of course inseparable from digital marketing technology, besides the role of word of mouth also plays an important role in introducing tourism. However, several appropriate strategies are needed to develop tourism in Uzbekistan so that it is increasingly recognized by the world. Word of mouth is interesting in the discussion this time, even though word of mouth is like every day without realizing it, when word of mouth is maximized and used as a promotional strategy, this role will be much more maximal and its effect is very influential on visiting decisions. Digital Marketing and the Word of Mouth will be a tourism promotion strategy in Uzbekistan, this will create a higher quality, sustainable promotion and influence tourist visit decisions. The analysis was performed using the structural equation modeling (SEM) method in testing 10 hypotheses. This study aims to determine the effect of the four research variables, namely, perceived quality, digital marketing, EWOM, visit satisfaction, and tourism quality. In addition, this research also uses an interactive model method to process the results of interviews, with this it will be an additional support for the conclusion in providing advice on Uzbekistan tourism promotion strategies.
Factors that influence consumers’ participation in electronic tourism
2020
Recent advances in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) transformed the tourism industry in a key sector for e-commerce. In such a context, many companies have sought to understand the main reasons for consumers to participate in electronic tourism (e-tourism). Thus, we aim to analyze different factors that influence the participation of consumers in e-tourism, by choosing a website, recommending it, or buying tourism products. We surveyed 251 participants enrolled in tourism discussion groups on the web, analyzing data through structural equation modeling – SEM. Our results pointed out satisfaction with previous experiences and the quality of tourism products as the main drivers of customers’ participation in e-tourism regarding the intention to buy and recommending the tourism website. Satisfaction with previous experiences stands out as the main predictor in both situations. We believe our findings will extend the understanding of consumer’s attitudes to online touris...

Purpose: This research aims to investigate the interplay between destination image, Electronic Word of Mouth (e-WoM), service quality, and tourist satisfaction during their stay in Bali. Design/Methodology/Approach: The research design uses quantitative causality. The data collection technique employed in this study involves a questionnaire distributed to 600 respondents, determined through incidental sampling. Findings: Service quality, while the services provided by the Monkey Forest staff are wellreceived by tourists; destination image, while the attractiveness of Monkey Forest tourist attractions is unique and appealing; and the beauty of the natural landscape. Tourist satisfaction exerts a positive and significant influence on e-WoM, while a satisfied traveler with the image and service quality of the monkey forest destination is willing to engage in marketing through electronic word of mouth. Additionally, two moderation relationships are discovered: the relationship between service quality and e-WoM, which is positively and significantly influenced by the variable of tourist satisfaction, and the clause relationship, wherein destination image positively and significantly influences e-WoM, with tourist satisfaction as a moderating variable. Conclusions: So, it can be concluded that there are five clause relationships between variables as hypotheses, including three direct effects and two moderating relationships (indirect effects). Research Limitations: The limitations of this research lie in the limited coverage of the research object, focusing on either a specific area or solely on one destination. Practical Implications: The implication of this study on the e-WoM variable, which serves as an endogenous variable, significantly impacts the Normated Fit Index, albeit within reasonable limits.
Enlightening Tourism: A Pathmaking Journal, 2021
Experienced travelers share their reviews regarding hotel services which serve as a testimony for novice travelers and help them to make their decision whether to book that hotel or not. The current study aims to identify the various factors affecting the intentions of travelers for online hotel bookings. Data was collected from 419 respondents who adopt online reviews published on online travel aggregators for online hotel bookings. The respondents for this study are taken from Delhi. Further, the hypotheses of this study were validated with the help of structural equation modeling (SEM) using partial least squares (PLS). The paper found Information quality; Source credibility, Information sidedness, and Information consistency are the significant predictor of traveler’s Information usefulness for hotel bookings. Further, the relationship between Information usefulness and online hotel bookings intentions was also found statically significant. This study has provided implications f...
Exploring internet influence towards travel satisfaction
Procedia-Social and Behavioral Sciences , 2014
This exploratory research has been developed to explore the international tourists' satisfaction of an overseas travel experience by the influence of internet. In this study, four independent variables, namely " functional benefits " , " complexibility " , " perceived risks " and " costs " were being employed to determine the satisfaction level of 211 international tourists who were visiting Malaysia in between January to April, 2013. The research findings by multiple linear regression and logistic regression have indicated that all variables were significantly influencing their satisfaction except perceived risks. Although this research is preliminary in nature, it acts as a stepping stone for various travel and hospitality industry players, potential academicians and tourism researchers to study further on the importance of internet towards tourists' decision making while selecting their vacation trips and determine their revisit intention in the long run. Besides, this paper would also provide some insightful information on how tourism industry in Malaysia should " serve " their customers based on the several significant dimensions as discussed in the paper.
Travelers’ Intent to Purchase Tourism Products and Services Online
2016
This study develops and tests a model predicting travelers’ intent to purchase tourism products and services online using data collected from travelers to Mauritius. Results from the structural equation modeling analysis indicate a good model fit and support four of the five proposed hypotheses. Findings suggest that travelers’ perceived usefulness, trust and perceived risks are good determinants of their attitude to e-purchasing which in turn significantly influences epurchase intent. Theoretically, our model provides a holistic view of the determinants of travelers’ e-purchase intent by incorporating the effects of perceived risk and truth with the basic variables of the technology acceptance model in an integrated framework. The managerial implications of the research for online tourism and hospitality vendors are discussed, together with the study’s limitations.
Structural Equation Model: Influence on Tourist Satisfaction with Destination Atributes
Tourism and hospitality management, 2017
Purpose-To present a model that expresses the relationships observed between a set of independent variables that condition overall satisfaction with a tourist destination, allowing to discover the potential for improvement of this indicator. Methodology-An instrument is designed to measure the satisfaction of tourists with a destination, starting from a list of attributes used in the literature that are submitted to the research of experts. A reliability analysis of the results and an evaluation of construct validity were performed. Through a confirmatory factor analysis, the factorial structure of the set of observed variables was identified. Finally, a structural equations model was created to understand the interrelationship between the variables considered in the study and their incidence in general satisfaction with the destination. Findings-The application of the instrument designed to the calculated sample allowed to identify the latent variables existing in the practical construct studied, identifying through the factorial analysis four aspects associated to the satisfaction of tourists with the destination: access, lodging, facilities and attractions. The construction of the structural equations model corroborated the previous results and evidenced the level of incidence of each factor studied in the overall satisfaction as well as the incidence of each attribute in the factor that integrates. Originality-It is achieved define a structural equations model that represents and explains the relationship between the variables considered in the quality management of a destination and the degree to which they relate to each other and influence the level of satisfaction experienced by tourists.
The purpose of this study is to examine the associations among knowledge quality, system quality, service quality, perceived ease of use, user satisfaction, and continuous intention to use Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) website.
