Exploring spoken dialog interaction in human-robot teams (original) (raw)
This paper investigates the use of spoken dialog interaction in human-robot teams, particularly within the context of urban search-and-rescue operations. The TeamTalk system, interfaced with the USARSim simulation platform, enables experiments in multi-participant dialog and spatial language interpretation. Through virtual testing, researchers can efficiently study linguistic aspects of human-robot communication without the logistical challenges of real-world trials, enhancing the understanding of goal-oriented tasks and user interactions.
