REVIEW OF LITERATURE FOR TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT, ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE AND AUTO ANCILLARY (original) (raw)

TITLE: REVIEW PAPER ON AUTOMATION INDUSTRY, INDUSTRY 4.0

This review study focuses on automated manufacturing in the automotive industry, with an emphasis on Industry 4.0 technologies. We go over particular Industry 4.0 technologies that are being implemented in manufacturing organizations, such as improved robotic devices, 3D printing, the Internet of Things, and automated production. Manufacturing enterprises in the automotive sector that operate in Slovakia and the Czech Republic made up our research sample. Both countries are major actors in the global automobile manufacturing industry. We created an electronic questionnaire and constructed questions based on a theoretical evaluation of prior studies and research to collect data. Two assumptions were made, and the average degree of technology use was used to verify them. We also looked at the level of automation and other Industry 4.0 technologies that have been implemented. Sensors, programmable devices such as PLCs and HMIs, and industrial robots were all used often, according to the findings. According to another examination of the data, large industrial organizations use automation aspects at a higher level than medium and small businesses.

Study Of Identification and Implementation of Key Industry 4.0 Components in Indian Auto Ancillary & Allied Manufacturing Companies

Journal of Harbin Engineering University, 2023

Research into the various aspects of Industry 4.0 is of the utmost significance for determining the course of both the future of manufacturing and the development of new technologies. As we progress farther into the realms of artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, data analytics, and automation, it is becoming increasingly important to have a comprehensive understanding of the complexities of these components and how they are integrated into various industrial processes. This type of study not only helps businesses become more innovative and competitive, but it also makes it easier for them to establish production methods that are both effective and environmentally friendly. Researchers can uncover novel solutions to optimise supply chains, enhance product customization, improve resource allocation, and ultimately pave the way for a smarter, more interconnected industrial landscape that can meet the challenges and demands of the modern world if they can decipher the potential of these components. This can be done by figuring out what their potential is and then applying that knowledge. Industry 4.0 has been helping the manufacturing world with several benefits which is not restricted to improved productivity, predictability, qualitative improvement, financial benefits, safety benefits and improved customer satisfaction. The study intends to identify the importance of the key components under industry 4.0 and measure the impact of components under Industry 4.0 on financial performance and quality performance. The paper also measures the satisfaction of implementation of components under Industry 4.0 and identify the reasons for not implementing Industry 4.0 by Indian Auto Ancillary & Allied Manufacturing companies.

The Advent of Industry 4.0 in Manufacturing Industry: Literature Review and Growth Opportunities

2017

Nowadays, the value creation process is based on management of a large amount of data, the Big Data, which are able to connect businesses and customers from all over the world (Xie et al., 2016). Considering the managerial and industrial points of view, Industry 4.0 is a new economic model for the industrial world (Peressotti, 2016), based on the evolution of production paradigm, technological change and process logic adoption: companies should change their business models, invest in staff training, adopting new managerial tools. As a result, the change of the market (from standardized to diversified) with the production of customized products. Machines and robots are able to communicate each other, to take decisions and to self-update. The production lines are automated: control and maintenance tasks can be performed remotely. As a consequence, the creation of the agile value chain: it allows you to monitor large amounts of data in real time, to track status and location of goods, to control the production process distantly. To study the level of adoption of 4.0 industrialization plans, two global indicators have been analyzed: they identify the placement of the largest industrial powers as brought to you by CORE View metadata, citation and similar papers at core.ac.uk MICROECONOMICS 633 a result of their industrialization policies adoption. Since the literature review shows few academic contributions and the subject is studied from engineering, computer and industrial design points of view, the objective of the work is to provide a theoretical contribution to managerial and industrial studies: the adoption of innovation in economic policy represents an opportunity to improve the country identity and the competitiveness level. So it is essential to encourage companies to adopt innovative tools, making the production automated. The methodology used is the content analysis technique: literature analysis, reports, conference proceedings, publications and websites are consulted. The originality of the work is to investigate a topic developed recently in Italy.

Industrial engineering researches conducted in Industry 4.0: The investigation of firms and sectors in Turkey

3RD INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON LIFE AND ENGINEERING SCIENCES, İSTANBUL, 2020

Cyber-physical systems provide an environment that can operate automatically by the sensors’ functioning, and that can be controlled remotely. This infrastructure potential has revealed the digital transformation supported industrial revolution of our age. Therefore, the responsibilities of top managers and industrial engineers have also increased with Industry 4.0 for the functioning system operations. It is necessary to make the best strategic plan for the new period throughout the country in order to identify the barriers, and to create a road map. Hence, the purpose of this study is to analyze how industrial engineering research on Industry 4.0 has been examined by companies and sectors in Turkish national databases since 2017, and to obtain meaningful results. In this context, research questions were determined. Findings were discussed and the issues such as the industrial engineering discipline in Turkey (human resource management, quality management, enterprise resource planning, supply chain management, etc.), companies’ Industry 4.0 preparations and sectoral studies (iron and steel industry, agriculture and livestock, logistics, furniture, fashion etc.) have attracted the attention. This research demonstrates benefits in terms of where should be started in order to increase awareness and action plans in Turkey. In addition, as a theoretical contribution of the study, the practitioners can make inferences on which subject and which methods they can apply in what scope.

emergence of digital transformation in the automotive industry - Industry 4.0 in Hungary

Competitio

It is no exaggeration to say that the digital transformation can be seen as both a paradigm shifts and a real technological revolution (Perez, 2010, Mergel, et al., 2019). In order to get to know the preparedness of the Hungarian automotive industry players in the topic, we conducted an empirical research in October - December 2020. The main goal was to determine the level of automotive actors in the digital transformation process. Company leaders were primarily asked about their progress in the digital transition process, its opportunities and challenges, organizational culture, and potential human resource management responses. This study focuses on the digital transition concentrating on the following dimensions: strategy and leadership, human resources, business processes, supply chain, manufacturing, products and services. Based on the results, we classified the examined Hungarian automotive industry actors into clusters.
