The Real Time Water Quality Monitoring System Based On IoT Platform
Good water quality is essential for the health of our aquatic ecosystems. Continuous water quality monitoring is an important tool for management authorities, providing real-time data for environmental protection and tracking pollution sources; however, continuous water quality monitoring at high temporal and spatial resolution remains prohibitively expensive. In this system we present a design and development of a low cost system for real time monitoring of the water quality using IOT(internet of things). The system consist of four sensors is used to measuring physical and chemical parameters of the water. The parameters such as temperature, turbidity, PH and water flow can be measured. The measured values from the sensors can be processed by the core controller. The Raspberry Pi can be used as a core controller. Finally, the sensor data can be viewed on internet using cloud computing.

An IoT based Real-Time Monitoring of Water Quality System
Social Science Research Network, 2021
With the emerging technologies and new generation, each field is developing gradually, like IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Cloud Computing, etc. Currently, the Internet of Things (IoT) has become the pillar of all connected technologies, without which we can’t imagine our single day. IoT is useful in every aspect of our life. Also, water is an essential component for all living beings, and monitoring of water quality and its parameter is a must to get safe water. The proposed model, water quality monitoring in Aquaculture based on IoT which is used to determine the different parameters of water like, pH value, turbidity, temperature, to detect the bad quality which may lead to any disease or adverse effect to a living being. So, it is crucial to detect the quality of water to have safe water for a healthy life. Traditional approaches include a manual collection of samples with complex methodology and ineffective because of time-consuming, high cost, lack of real-time monitoring and testing is done later in the laboratory.
Water Quality Monitoring & Analysis Using Iot
Journal of emerging technologies and innovative research, 2019
Nowadays, there had been lots of inventions, but at the same time have been pollutions, international warming and so on are being formed, because of the reality of this there is no sheltered drinking water for the world's contamination. Water contamination is one of the greatest fears for the green globalization. In 21st century, environmental monitoring is such an interesting system and plays such an important role in human life. In order to ensure the safe supply of the drinking and other activities of water the quality needs to be screen in real time This paper exhibits a stage advancement and plan of a minimal effort framework for constant checking of condition of environment at the rivers or lakes and Analysis of the water quality using IOT (internet of things). This project using Arduino Mega 2560 R3 microcontroller with several sensors attached to the platform. The device consist of various type of sensors is used to measuring physical and chemical parameters of the different areas water. The parameters such as temperature, PH, turbidity for water quality can be measured and carbon monoxide sensor (MQ-7) for air quality can be measured. Sensors output are saved into a data logger and sent to the Internet clouds. Using the collected data we can say that the water is drinkable or not as an acidic base. By using data that we can say that the particular area is use for fishing or not and also from data we can specify spices of fish. Although we can say that water is useable for agriculture area.
Water Quality Monitoring System Based on IOT
As water is one of the basic needs of human survival, it is required to incorporate some mechanism to monitor water quality time to time. There is a necessity to ensure supply of purified drinking water for the people both in cities and villages. Water Quality Monitoring (WQM) is a cost-effective and efficient system designed to monitor drinking water quality which makes use of Internet of Things (IoT) technology. In this project, the proposed system consists of several sensors to measure various parameters such as pH value, Turbidity, Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), Temperature and Conductivity. And also, the Microcontroller Unit (MCU) interfaced with these sensors and further processing is performed at mobile app. The obtained data is sent to the cloud by using IoT based Think Speak application to monitor the quality of the water.
Iot based water quality monitoring system

To ensure the safe supply of drinking water the quality should be monitored in real time for that purpose new approach IOT (Internet of Things) based water quality monitoring has been proposed. In this paper, we present the design of IOT based water quality monitoring system that monitor the quality of water in real time. This system consists some sensors which measure the water quality parameter such as pH, turbidity, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, temperature. The measured values from the sensors are processed by microcontroller and this processed values are transmitted remotely to the core controller that is raspberry pi using Zigbee protocol. Finally, sensors data can view on internet browser application using cloud computing.
Water Quality Monitoring System Implemented With IoT
International Journal of Emerging Trends in Engineering Research, 2021
Monitoring the quality of water and its proper management is crucial for any industrial and economic application. The global shortage of water demands a sustainable solution to optimize its usage. The Internet of Things provides a robust and cost-effective solution for real-time monitoring of various parameters of water. The paper aims to implement an intelligent water quality monitoring system with the aid of IoT. The proposed system was successfully implemented to determine the turbidity, TDS, flow rate and the level of water for a given sample. The data obtained from the sensors are uploaded to the ThingSpeak dashboard for online monitoring purpose. Besides, an SMS alert is sent to the user whenever the turbidity and TDS values have crossed the threshold limit defined for good quality water.
Integrated water quality monitoring system and iot technology for surface water monitoring
INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF MATHEMATICS AND MATHEMATICS EDUCATION (I-CMME) 2021
Frequent water supply disruptions have been a nightmare to consumers especially in Malaysia. These recurring events occurred due to river contaminations at water intakes. The condition becomes worst during the spread of Covid-19 pandemic and the implementation of stay-at-home or lockdown order. The recent water supply disruptions badly affected about 1.2 million consumers in Klang Valley. Therefore, the water management system needs to be improved to prevent repetitive of massive water supply disruptions in the future. One of the approaches that can be implemented is by continuous monitoring of river water quality in real time basis, in order to assist the authority in monitoring river water quality, especially at the water intakes. Thus, the purpose of this study was to develop and validate a functional prototype to monitor real time surface water quality using IoT technology. This prototype potentially assists the authority to monitor the water quality, provide early pollution detection and warning, and plan mitigations of the river water pollution events.
