In this review article, we first address the antecedents, trying to identify which were the first corporate universities, then an approach to the definition of the concept of corporate university is proposed and the definition that will orient the document, result of the revision a proposal for a model of Corporate University shows the relationship between four processes of the key corporate university, the direction and commitment of top management; knowledge management and organizational learning; human management; and technologies for knowledge management, and their variables show the relationship between four key processes of the corporate university: the direction and commitment of senior management; knowledge management and organizational learning; human management; and technologies for the management of knowledge, finely Elaborate conclusions, among which it is emphasized that Corporate universities must face new missions; such as the elaboration of programs with internal clients, individual and team accompaniment, advice and project coaching and accompaniment of the change, or also the process management of innovation with the clients.
The Influence of Inter-Stakeholders’ Communication on University – Industry Collaboration

Purpose: The aim of this study is to examine the influence of inter-stakeholders’ communication on universities which mutually collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders in frame of university – industry collaboration (UIC) and coordinate their internal structure in this direction. Design/methodology/approach: In this study, literature review and theoretical approach were applied to find out the interrelationships of four basic theories (i.e. Communicative Actions Theory, Media Richness Theory, Actor-Networks Theory, and Stakeholder Theory) that are located amongst inter-stakeholders communication and UIC. Findings: There is a strong nexus between stakeholder theory and other mentioned three theories. Stakeholder theory has a magnet role in combining UIC and inter-stakeholders’ communication. Communicative actions theory, media richness theory and actor-networks theory have supportive and transformative effects on stakeholder theory to uphold the relationships at multivariate levels, actors and institutions. Research limitations/implications: The research was limited to the communication dimension of stakeholders and UIC. There are many other dimensions; such as, reciprocal trust, commitment, continuity and understanding. Investigators are encouraged to improve a reliable and valid scale and test these factors in an empirical way. Practical implications: The paper includes implications for the development of the position of managers in communicative activities in which universities build interactions with their stakeholders and create an open system that is a strategic point. Originality/value: The original contribution of this study is to attach considerable attention to university interfaces (e.g. UIC Centre, Technocity / Technopark, Technology Transfer Office, Incubation Centre) and the managers working in these institutions have very crucial functions to establish cooperation amongst university and industry, and contain multidimensional and multidisciplinary aspects of collaboration and communication. The Cooperation Between Companies and Universities and Its Reflections in the Information Society

It will be discussed in this article, as an introductory character, the cooperation between companies and universities as an instrument for the promotion of technological progress, which is an essential element for the economic and social development of a nation. Thus, there will be discussed aspects related to open innovation, protection of intangible assets arising from the cooperation, technology transfer agreements and licensing of intellectual property rights as a means of integration between Brazilian companies and universities with foreign companies and the consequent increase in international relationships as well as economic and technological development of the involved actors. Brazil occupies a prominent position in the international trade; therefore it denotes the relevance in addressing the integration between companies and universities that are outstanding in creating new technologies and its impact on the information society.
Towards University 2.0: A Space where Academic Education Meets Corporate Training

The paper analyses the need of an institutional change of the universities in order to adapt to the current requirements of networked and knowledge economy. The e-Learning phenomenon and the ICT driven global educational reform are analysed as well in parallel with the needs of implementing new pedagogy models. Some university models are briefly described, such as: Research University, Enterpreneurial University, eUniversity and Corporate University. The paper puts its attention also on the Web 2.0 technologies and their influence on the new business models. The emergence of the Entreprise 2.0 model is briefly described. University 2.0 is defined as a research and entrepreneurial university which integrates Web 2.0 technologies and applications in all university activities, including ones with all knowledge intensive stakeholders, and implements the features of the Enterprise 2.0. The role of the community of practice and the open innovation is analysed. The case of Sofia University that has developed a new computing curricula and strives to implement the European e-Competence Framework by applying the University 2.0 model has been analyzed and presented as well.
The design process of corporate universities: a stakeholder approach

Purpose Corporate universities (CUs) have been experiencing tremendous growth during the past years and can represent a real driving force for structured organizations. The paper aims to define the process of CU design shaped around company strategy. For each step, the authors propose specific roles, activities and methods. Design/methodology/approach The paper exploits some managerial theories and past research on CUs to draw a two-step framework for their design and development process, then tests (and validating) it through action research and applies its guidelines to two different case studies. Findings The authors conclude the CU design process can be divided into two steps (development and management), with specific roles assigned to the different activities, and this allocation represents a prerequisite for the CU project success. University 3.0 as a Corporate Entity of Knowledge Economy: Models and Missions
The University 3.0 is established in higher education systems in developed countries, performing social missions of education, research, and knowledge commercialization. The purpose of the article is the study of the University 3.0 as a corporate entity of knowledge economy. For this purpose the author discloses the content its fundamental social and economic missions and models in the context of social reality and management policy; gives examples of scientific studies of the University 3.0 challenges. Based on the analysis of social reality it is shown that strategic systems of social development conceptualizations – " New Public Management, " " Network Governance, " " Neo-Weberian State "-demonstrate basic transformations from which the University 3.0 takes its origin. The University 3.0 is built on the basis of interrelated models of network, creative, innovative and entrepreneurial universities. The University 3.0 is becoming the basis for global competitiveness of national economies and geopolitical alliances.
Manual for establishment of an innovative partnership network for sustainable development university – business, 2015
A functioning network for co-operation between university and business ensures a number of benefits for the universities and students. Such benefits are, namely, various benefits for the business and branch organizations, benefits for the economic development and management in a regional plan, solutions of social issues of public significance, etc. The developed model for sustainable co-operation between university and business is based on the analysis of good innovative practices in the sphere of building and functioning of partnership networks university – business, supporting the students, social inclusion. For this purpose, leading higher educational institutions in the country and abroad, that have established a good co-operation practices with the business community, including the promotion of university – business co-operation modules, were analyzed. Subject of this analysis was the readiness of business and branch organizations in the country to join a system for co-operation between the university and business, as well as students` attitudes and willingness to present data to be entered in the indicated system. Of significant importance for the system model structuring was also the attitudinal research of the lecturers at University of Economics - Varna regarding the necessity of an innovative university – business partnership network and their willingness to participate in it.
An Exploratory Research on the Stakeholders of a University

Higher education institutions are undergoing a process of transformation. Their functions of teaching and research are being reassessed, with particular emphasis on the contribution they make to the welfare of their economic and social environment, be it the region, the country or the European Union . To this end, higher education institutions need to engage in profitable relationships with various stakeholders and incorporating their respective visions and purposes into their own management practices. Hence, higher education institutions need to identify these stakeholders and their needs before defining priorities and relational strategies for each entity. This way, the aim of this article is to identify main stakeholders in a higher education institution while confirms or disconfirms the need to include lower hierarchy levels for the correct identification.
