and now there is an expansion of physical participation as a lifestyle, not just a watching sport. The church's reaction to the sports has been negative, or at least biased, limited attention. While the Korean Church is taking a lukewarm stance toward the sports, changes in people's perception of the sports are adding to the pace, along with increasing demands for physical activity.

The intervention and control schools were four and two, respectively. Difference in differences and logistic regression analysis were performed using the results of Baseline and Endline surveys conducted in 2014 and 2017. Mental health indicators were used for the evaluation of the project in the study. Results: The Difference in Differences analysis showed that the proportion of depression, suicidal thought, being in fight and physical abuse was reduced by 11%, 7.3%, 6.9% and 4.1%, respectively. The logistic regression analysis revealed that there was significant improvement in physical abuse and alcohol consumption. There was significant reduction in being in the fight, intimidation in last 30 days, physical abuse by friends and alcohol consuming in last 30 days in both intervention and control group. The Function and Significance of Female Narrators in Record of a Dream on Kanghwa Island
HANMUNHAKRONCHIP: Journal of Korean Literature in Chinese, 2020
This study examines the significance of the adoption and application of female narrators in Record of a Dream on Kanghwa Island (Kangdo mongyurok, 江都夢遊錄). To do this, it first observes the function and depiction of the narrators, and then explores how narrative devices play a role in conveying the novel’s themes. Record of a Dream on Kanghwa Island not only asks who was responsible for the fall of Kanghwa Island and Chosŏn’s defeat, but also advocates for rejecting peace with the Qing, summoning women as mouthpieces of these political criticisms. The employment of female narrators followed naturally from summoning actual people who died with rage in their hearts per writing conventions of dream narratives. These female speakers act as representatives of their households and judges of national loyalty, thus demonstrating their narrative function. Subsequently, the study investigates two narrative devices related to the female speakers. The first is the motif of reward and punishment in the afterlife. While the writer equates the women’s fidelity with the men’s loyalty, they in fact judge the women based on whether their male relatives were loyal to Chosŏn. This ‘distorted reward and punishment’ system of ethics thus diminishes the women’s status. The second is how the resulting fragmentation of the novel’s summoning of the sacrificed women as speakers, i.e. the atmosphere of resentment and anguish dominating the novel, is patched together by the words of the last kisaeng. Furthermore, their unending wails points to the shame complex the ruling class felt regarding the invasion. The intent behind the writing of Record of a Dream on Kanghwa Island does not lie in the experience of women or recreating their forms. Rather, the employing of female narrators as a function of a specific narrative has almost no connection to the formation of a female ‘subject’ in classical narratives and in order promote the value of rejecting peace, limiting their subjectivity. In this light, the wailing of the women near the novel's end even reflects the ‘abstract pain’ of the ruling class. In sum, although Record of a Dream on Kanghwa Island sticks out as an ‘exception’ in classical narratives, it is rather conservative in its development of female subjectivity.

With the motto Equity from the Start for a Healthy Future , the Seoul Healthy First Step Project (SHFSP) was ' ' launched in 2013 in an attempt to support women with young children, to improve the health and development of babies, and eventually to close the gap in child development. The SHFSP contains both universal components (universal risk assessment of mothers and universal home visitation after birth) and selective components (prenatal and postnatal sustained home visits, mothers groups, and community service linkage), thereby taking ' a proportionate universality approach. For sustained home visits, the SHFSP introduced the Maternal and Early Childhood Sustained Home-visiting (MECSH) program from Australia, which has been proven to be effective in improving maternal and childhood outcomes. Between 2013~2017, the SHFSP has paid 58,327 visits to roughly 38 thousand families with babies. In 2017, the SHFSP covered 19.6% of families with newborn babies in Seoul. The SHFSP conducted internal satisfaction surveys of universal and sustained visitation service recipients, in which an overwhelming majority of mothers provided positive feedback. A performance assessment conducted in 2016 by an external organization showed that 93% of SHFSP service recipients were satisfied with the home visitations. Considering the popular support for the program from mothers and families in Seoul (the most affluent area in Korea) and the lack of a national home visiting program to promote early childhood health and development, this program should be expanded nationally in the near future.

This paper analyzed the leadership of Maria Kim (金瑪利亞, 1892-1944) revealed through the development of the organizations or institutions she was involved in during her whole life, and her thoughts underlying the leadership through her writings left behind. Born and raised in a family of Protestant independence activists, Maria Kim was a "new woman" who devoted her life to the independence of Korea and education for women. It can be seen that Maria Kim always led or organized Korean women's groups. In this article, I focused especially on the Korean Women's International Student Society in Tokyo, the Korean Women's Patriotic Club, Geunhwa (national flower) Association, and the National Organization of the Presbyterian Women. Through this, it concluded that Maria Kim's leadership was a leadership for the independence of Korea by developing women's ability, cooperation, and solidarity, far from personal www.dbpia.co.kr 최상도 | 김마리아의 생애를 통해 본 리더십과 사상에 대한 소고 41 success and power-pursuit. Specifically, it was confirmed that her leadership was the leadership of consistency between word and action, solidarity and cooperation, initiative, and humility based on the self-sacrificing love of Christian faith, unity and solidarity, freedom and equality. On the other hand, tasks required for further studies on Maria Kim are that (1) her writings should be collected and (2) to investigate the relationship between Maria Kim and missionaries who had directly engaged with her, and the Mission Board of Canadian Churches.
