The impact of Emotional intelligence in the Digital Age
Psychology, 2021
In today's digital and automation obsessed world emotional intelligence is one important aspect which can differentiate a man from a machine. In this superbly technologically oriented world where most of us are crippled without a machine to help us it is a necessity for all of us to maintain our uniqueness in respect to machine. The uniqueness which differentiates us from a machine is our emotions towards different situations and people around us and how intelligently we handle these situations in a more human way. Simply put emotional intelligence is an aspect of human nature which helps all human being to understand themselves and others and try to overcome any problems or situations in a better way. Previously companies used to give more importance to IQ (Intelligent quotient) but now most of the companies are hiring those employees who are high on Emotional intelligence. The difference between intelligent quotient and emotional intelligence is that in intelligent quotient, people make smartdecisions irrespective of people's feelings but in case of emotional intelligence, people make smart decisions by keeping people's feelings in mind. The decision made by keeping in mind people's feelings makes people happy and creates a happy and motivatedenvironment within the organization. Intelligent quotient is from birth but emotional intelligence depends on the environment we are born in and our surroundings and this can be changed according to the situation. In this digital age where the environment is constantly changing and full of challenges where people have stopped thinking about others feeling, emotional intelligence is the only way where people would start feeling a sense of belonginess, start being happy, relieved, motivated and start enjoying life to the fullest. This case study sheds light on the fact that emotional intelligence is very important in today's automated world and also can also be a secret weapon which will help us survive and maintain our uniqueness before machine takes over human being in workplace.
Emotional Intelligence in Artificial Intelligence, A review and evaluation study
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is an integral part of our everyday lives and plays a crucial role in our well-being, culture, society, and industry (Thakkar et al., 2024). Some types of AI are known to exhibit emotions, but they are not very common in present-day AI, which we deal with in everyday life. Some researchers suggest that by endowing AI systems with emotions, we could create emotional experiences in them that help create empathy and a feeling of connectedness with users in applications like mental health, therapy, education, museums, and related experiences. This need for AI systemsespecially embodied or affective ones that people feel attached to ethical-moral agency and are thus able to evaluate and make ethical judgments and decisions of their own in ways that are socially and legally responsible that will assist in having more considerate, caring, compassionate, therapeutic, healing, and moral machines. (Pan & Yang, 2021).

In the evolving landscape of financial decision-making, this study delves into the intricate relationships among Emotional Intelligence (EI), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Investment Decisions (ID). By scrutinizing the direct influence of human emotional intelligence on investment choices and elucidating the mediating role of AI in this process, our research seeks to unravel the complex interplay between minds and machines. Through empirical analysis, we reveal that EI not only directly impacts ID but also exerts its influence indirectly through AI-mediated pathways. The findings underscore the pivotal role of emotional awareness in investor decision-making, augmented by the technological capabilities of AI. It suggests that most investors are influenced by the identified emotional intelligence when making investment decisions. Furthermore, AI substantially impacts investors' decision-making process when it comes to investing; nevertheless, AI partially mediates the relationship between emotional intelligence and investment decisions. This nuanced understanding provides valuable insights for financial practitioners, policymakers, and researchers, emphasizing the need for holistic strategies that integrate emotional and technological dimensions in navigating the intricacies of modern investment landscapes. As the synergy between human intuition and artificial intelligence becomes increasingly integral to financial decision-making, this study contributes to the ongoing discourse on the symbiotic relationship between minds and machines in investments.0
