This research examines the dual strategies of securing food trust in Italy, highlighting the tension between traditional local authenticity and the need for compliance with international standards due to globalization. The findings indicate that while local food is preferred for its perceived quality, expanding the agribusiness sector necessitates technical innovation and transparency to foster consumer trust, both domestically and internationally. The study suggests that addressing issues of fraud prevention and enhancing public accountability are critical for developing a reliable food quality assurance system.
