The Role of Micro Credit Funds in Developing Entrepreneurship among Rural Women in Iran

In this study, factors that influence the development of entrepreneurship were examined. The total population of this study was all members of micro credit funds in the Lorestan Province of Iran and 188 respondents were selected by random sampling. The main instrument of the study was questionnaire and data collected was analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results of the study show that more than 40 percent of variance in the perception of respondents about factors developing the entrepreneurship was predicated by economical, social and educational factors respectively.

Micro Credit and Rural Women Entrepreneurship Development in Bangladesh: A Multivariate Model

Micro credit programs have positive socioeconomic impact on rural women borrowers of Bangladesh. But it is also opined by the different corners that the micro credit programs do not help the borrowers to develop entrepreneurial capabilities except surviving. Thus, this paper aims at identifying the factors related to the development of entrepreneurship among the rural women through micro credit programs of the micro credit providers. A multivariate analysis technique such as, Factor Analysis was conducted to identify the factors related to entrepreneurship development. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used to identify the relationship between micro credit program and the development of rural women entrepreneurship in Bangladesh. Results show that the financial management skills are the most important factor that has significant relationship with the development of rural women entrepreneurship. Results also show that the group identities of the women borrowers have significant relationship with the rural entrepreneurship development in Bangladesh. Borrowers experience from the parents' families and the limitation of option also lead to the development of entrepreneurship among the rural women borrowers of Bangladesh.

The role of microfinance institutions on women’s entrepreneurship development

This study investigates the role of microfinance services on women's entrepreneurship development in Assosa town. The study employed both descriptive and explanatory designs and a quantitative research approach. The study targeted 352 women clients of Assosa Woreda Microfinance Institution, and 165 samples were selected using a simple random sampling technique. The data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed through the statistical package for social science (SPSS) 26 software. The findings from the descriptive mean analysis indicate that the microfinance institution financial and non-financial services offered were found unable to significantly empower disadvantaged and poor women by improving their livelihood and development of their business. A Multivariate Model of Micro Credit and Rural Women Entrepreneurship Development in Bangladesh

In Bangladesh, micro credit programs have positive socioeconomic impact on the rural women borrowers. However, it is perceived that the micro credit programs help the rural women borrowers to survive only and do not help them to develop entrepreneurial capabilities. Hence, this paper aims at identifying the factors related to the development of entrepreneurship among the rural women borrowers through micro credit programs. Structural equation modeling was used to develop a model of micro credit program and the development of rural women entrepreneurship in Bangladesh. Results show that the financial management skills and the group identity of the women borrowers have significant relationship with the development of rural women entrepreneurship in Bangladesh. The experience from the parent's family of the borrowers and the option limit may also lead to the rural women borrowers to be entrepreneurial.

Impact of Micro Finance on Women Entrepreneurship

Women play a crucial role in their families and in the economic development of communities but certain obstacles such as poverty, family restrictions, unemployment, societal discriminations and low income have hindered in their effective performance of that role. This research makes an attempt to evaluate the effectiveness of microfinance on empowerment of women. A cross sectional research on women's in the State of Telangana in selected cities, through a structured questionnaire will be conducted. Population of study is women who are associated with Self Help Groups (SHG's). The objective of this study is, to evaluate the effectiveness of microfinance on empowerment of women in the rural areas, to examine the effect of credit, savings, training and social capital on women entrepreneurs' performance in rural areas of Telangana state. A cross sectional research on women's in the State of Telangana in rural areas, through a structured questionnaire and an in-depth interview to solicit responses from women entrepreneurs, and secondary data from microfinance institutions. Population of study is women who are associated with Self Help Groups (SHG's). These women are married and have at least one child. The Exploratory research analysis is used to study the indicators of women empowerment. The findings of this study reveal that what is the major effectiveness of microfinance as a powerful tool in enhancing women empowerment towards entrepreneurs for its indicators like mobility, economic security, household economic decision making, legal awareness, and family decision making.

Microfinance involvement and enabling of Women Entrepreneur in Kilinochchi District and comparison study with Jaffna District

Empowering women entrepreneurs through Micro finance in Jaffna District: Challenges and Scenarios

Micro finance serves as a vital role for women entrepreneurship development in the developing countries as well as in Sri Lanka. As a result of 30 years conflict situation, women lost their male relatives in struggle, and forced to take a responsibility of their family in order to look after their children, aged parents and their male relatives. Micro finance institutions help the poor people particularly women in effective ways in order to create income generating activities. This study focuses the challenges and Scenarios associated with the adoption of microfinance as an instrument for empowering women entrepreneurs in Jaffna District in Sri Lanka. The prime objective of this study is to identify the challenges and scenarios in empowering women entrepreneurs through micro finance in Jaffna District. In this study the rural areas of Jaffna, Nallur, Kopay Divisional Secretariat Divisions, were selected as the sample size of population of women entrepreneurs who were involving in numerous self employable activities around 76 women. Both primary and secondary data were used for gathering information and quantitative and qualitative analysis was carried out to find out the results. To find out the results and check the validity and reliability of quantitative analysis the case study method also used in this study. In the quantitative analysis the correlation and regression method was used to find out the association between the variables of entrepreneurship challenges and needs and micro finance objectives by using SPSS. Three case study method also was included in this study that the women entrepreneurs were improved their activity by the support of micro finance institutions facing many challenges. The result of this study concluded that there is no significant relationship between the objectives of micro finance institutions and the needs of the respondents. In addition to this, using micro finance facilities create more job opportunities and variety of economic activities and improve household education, family welfare and empowering women themselves. Further this study shows that even though micro finance scheme is a strategy for increasing women entrepreneurs those who express their feelings on challenges and issues on marketing activities due to transport problem and financial difficulties. It is suggested that if much awareness will be created to enlighten the women entrepreneurs on record keeping, building assets, managing risk and increasing savings, it would be identified as the best strategy for helping poor women entrepreneurs' access on financial and non-financial services in MFIs.

Entrepreneurship Development Model for Empowering Women Micro enterprises in Rural Areas (Case of Majalengka District

Purpose -This paper aims to determine the entrepreneurship development model for empowering of women micro-enterprise in rural areas. Design/methodology/approach -This study is a descriptive research using qualitative method, which is intended to examine the problems in more depth and comprehensiveness. In-depth interviews of rural women micro-enterprise were conducted directly, along with the observation of women's lives in rural areas. Findings -Through the entrepreneurship development program, the business skills that rural women already have will be improved so that they are ready to become reliable entrepreneurs. The empowerment model of women micro-enterprises through entrepreneurship development programs using a group approach, namely Group of Women Farmers, has resulted in business diversification that can improve the welfare of its members. Originality/value -Empowerment of women micro-enterprises through entrepreneurship development conducted using a group approach can have a positive social impact on the community, such as creating productive economic activities, and increasing women's participation in the development process in their region.

PROBLEMS FACED BY RURAL WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS: A STUDY OF LUNGLEI DISTRICT IN MIZORAM

Rural women entrepreneurs play an important role in the development of Indian economy although they face a serious of problems and challenges. They are an important factor for the development of rural areas. They also help in checking the rate of migration by rural people to urban communities, thereby decreasing the problem of overpopulation. However, in the practical world, the condition of rural women entrepreneurs is still very backward. So, this study is conducted in an attempt to find out the various problems faced by these women. In this study, primary data were collected through structured questionnaire and interview. The secondary data were collected from journals and books. Statistical tools like Correlation, Reliability Test, Cronbach's alpha, KMO and Barlett's test of Sphericity and Factor Analysis were used for analysis of the data collected. The result shows that there are ten (10) various problems faced by rural women entrepreneurs. These problems are classified into three components or factors, which are Financial Problem, Production and Marketing Problem and General Problem. The major problem in the life of rural women entrepreneurs is the Production and Marketing Problem followed by General Problem and finally the Financial Problem.
