The Wine Tourism is a niche tourism whose purpose is visiting vineyards, wineries, wine cellars, festivals, wine tastings and the practice of other activities in wine-growing areas. This research paper tries to emphasize the opportunities offered by the development of the oenotourism in the county of Iasi, county that has a very rich and divers natural and anthropic touristic potential, but however, this type of tourism, was not sufficiently studied and developed. After the conceptualization of the Wine tourism and the proper study of the elements that define the Wine tourism, it is clear that the county of Iasi stands out in the wine-growing area, but concerning the oenotourism, there is place for improvement. Generally the development of the enotourism is on the right way, but in order to make improvements we have to take into consideration the development propositions made by the wine producers from the county and to offer tourists what they are expecting, demanding and needing.
