Motivation is the process that initiates, guides, and maintains goal-oriented behaviors. Motivation activated human behaviors to attain certain achievements. Success of the organization mainly reflected by the hard works of employees. Therefore, to achieve the organizational goals employee should be motivated by the external and internal factors. The purposes of this study were to investigate motivation factors in the Banking Industry. The employees of private and public sector banks were the population of the study situated at Ballari city, Karnataka. Data has been collected from the sample of 100 respondents and percentage method has been adopted to analyze the motivational level towards set of factors considered in the study among the respondents.

Human being work to earn their living, this is the general thought. But none can actually live without work. Everybody works, some for satisfying their basic needs and some for satisfying their inner needs of accomplishment and self-actualisation. Some theorist say that man gets motivated if something is given in return of their work and some theorists are of the thought that a human being is more motivated if the work which is given to him is of interest to her. Here in this research paper the researcher has tried to show if the importance of intrinsic and extrinsic motivational factors are same for employees working in public sector banks and private sector banks. An attempt has also been made to identify if the two types of motivational factors vary for employees belonging to different genders and different age groups. The results revealed that for employees belonging to private sector banks intrinsic motivational factors are more important. Results also show that with age the importance of intrinsic and extrinsic motivational factors vary.
Factors Motivating Employees in Public Sector Banks: An Empirical Investigation

Due to increased competition between Organization and their need to respond effectively to rapidly changing operational conditions, as well as to personnel requirements, has escalated the necessity to identify those factors that Improve Employee Performance. For any organization to operate smoothly and without any interruption, employee cooperation cannot be replaced with anything else. It is of utmost importance that the employees of an organization not only have a good relationship with the top management, but also, they maintain a healthy and professional relationship with their coworkers. The study focus on how motivational tools impact the performance of employee for betterment. A sample of individuals was selected and was interviewed with self-administrated questionnaire to obtain primary data. The results obtained indicate that if employees are positively motivated, it improves both their effectiveness and efficiency drastically for achieving organizational goals.
EMERGING TRENDS ON MOTIVATIONAL FACTORS OF PRIVATE AND PUBLIC SECTOR BANK EMPLOYEES IN TIRUCHENDUR
Motivation is vital to all organizations and, often the difference between highly effective organizations and less effective ones lies in its motivational profile. Motivation has a direct link with employee performance, and motivating employees in an organization is a critical challenge. Motivation refers to the way in which, needs and aspirations of an individual direct and control his behaviour. Motivating implies that one person, in organizational context an employer, induces another, say an employee, to engage in action (work behaviour) by ensuring that a channel to satisfy those needs and aspirations becomes available to the person in addition to channelizing the strong needs in a direction that is satisfying to both the employees and the organization. The aim of this paper was to measure the various motivational factors provided to private and public sector bank employees. The present study was conducted in Tiruchendur district. A sample of 140 respondents being 76 from public sector bank and 64 from private sector banks employees was purposively selected and the data was collected from the respondents by using interview schedule. Simple percentage, Likert five point scale, 'F'test, were used to analyze the primary data.. Impact of Motivation on Employee Performance working in Private Banks in Hyderabad City

A quantitative research is conducted to determine how motivation affects employee performance and how to it can be practiced, as well as the relationship between motivation and promotion and reward programs in Pakistani private banks. Questionnaires were administered to three levels of staff including high-level, middle-level and frontline managers. A total of 280 closed questionnaires were published among participants to examine motivation and employee performance, and Smart PLS SEM was used to examine the relationship between influences and variables. The results of structural equation modeling show that there is a positive and significant relationship between motivation and employee performance. The results of the current study suggest that Pakistan’s private banking industry should pay attention to rewards and promotions. Employees perform better, but receive less rewards. The aim of designing present study was to analyze the role of reward that plays in motivating employees of commercial banks of Kohat, Pakistan. Specifically present study aims to analyzed the variance explained by predictor variables (payment, promotion, benefits and recognition) in criterion variable (Employee motivation). A hypothesis was developed for the present study and was tested by applying Multiple regressions. The sample group (N= 167) consisted of male and female employees of the commercial banks of Kohat, Pakistan. Data was collected through Questionnaire. Questionnaire comprises two parts. First part of the Questionnaire comprises of questions seeking Biographical data of the respondents and the second part comprises five variables, four predictor variables and one criterion variable. Content of the second part of questionnaire was adopted for use developed by (De Beer, 1987). The results of the study indicated that 71% variance is explained by predictor variables in employee work motivation of commercial banks' employees of Kohat. The results also showed that promotion among four independent variables has greater effect in explaining variance in employee work motivation of targeted subjects.
Factors Affecting Employees Motivation in Banking Sector of Pakistan
The aim of this study is to find out the relationship between the different factors (financial rewards, personal traits, high salary plans, job design and supervision) and employees motivation. In present study financial rewards, high salary plans, job design, personal traits and supervision are the independent variables and employee’s motivation is dependent variable. It is the quantitative research. For the data collection, study used the questionnaire method and data collection concerned with the banking sector of the Pakistan. In this paper study specified the sample size of 150 employees of the different banks in Pakistan. For the analysis of the data used the multiple regressions in this study. All the different variables have the positive impact on employee’s motivation. They contribute positively towards the employee’s motivation. This study conducted with the reference of Pakistan. It concluded that these factors have positive effect on employee’s motivation.
Management and Administrative Sciences Review Factors Affecting Employee Motivation
The present study investigated factors affecting the motivation among bank employees in Arsanjan. The population under study included all bank employees, of whom 50 employees were included randomly in the research sample. The instrument used to collect the data was Job Motivation Questionnaire. In addition, the collected data were analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics such as Pearson correlation coefficient. The results of the study indicated that there is a significant relationship between social needs, job interest, self-efficacy, satisfaction, communication skills, job promotion, power, physiological needs, wages, and job motivation. Besides, it was noted that social needs have the strongest factor in predicting job motivation.

Staff motivation is one of the key drivers of success in today's competitive environment. The paper seeks to determine the factors that influence bank staff motivation in the Cape Coast Metropolis. In specific terms, this paper aimed at analysing the variance explained by variables in staff motivation as well as determining whether there are statistically significant differences in the levels of the factors that affect staff motivation. The census sampling method was employed for the study. The responses of 81 staff members were gathered through questionnaires from seven banks in the Cape Coast Metropolis. Descriptive statistics was used for mean levels of the factors whilst a dependent (sample) t-test was used to determine the differences between the levels of the factors. Multiple regression technique was used to identify the factors (determinants) that best explain variance in staff motivation. It was explained from the study that there were statistically significant differences between the levels of the factors that affect staff motivation except between staff supervision and staff perceived competence and staff recognition and job satisfaction. Also, the results of the study revealed that determinants of motivation were recognition and job satisfaction. Thus, they significantly influence bank staff motivation in the Cape Coast Metropolis. The staff recommended that improvement in verbal and tangible recognition of good work as well as interesting and challenging work through job enlargement and enrichment would logically lead to high motivation.
