ROMA MEDIO REPUBBLICANA DALLA CONQUISTA DI VEIO ALLA BATTAGLIA DI ZAMA. Indice e Introduzioni (original) (raw)

The mid-Republican period from the fourth to the third centuries BC is one of the crucial periods in the history of Rome and Latium, but also one of the least well-known. Following the initial, and somewhat isolated, synthesis in 1973, which culminated in the exhibition Roma medio repubblicana, two international conferences (Mid republican Rome. From the conquest of Veii to the battle of Zama and Besides “Roma medio repubblicana”. Latium between Galli and the battle of Zama) will now seek to address anew the themes of growth and transformation of the city of Rome and its territory, and to reconstruct the complex and interconnected latin landscape, from the beginning of the fourth to the end of the third centuries BC; and will analyse the fundamental elements of the interrelationship between Rome and Latium.
