Interactive Learning in the ICT-based Classroom Environment

Teaching and learning process which integrated with Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) has been the major trend in the 21 st century. Teachers are required to have ICT skills to make an interactive learning. Unfortunately, in Indonesia, there are many teachers who are still confused on the use of ICT. Some of them said that they faced some difficulties when they had to make learning media by using computer. Others said that using ICT in the teaching and learning process is wasting time. They think that teaching by only using textbook is enough since textbook has already covered with materials written in the syllabus. Though, one of the principles of multimedia learning illustrated that students will have a better understanding when they are learning with words and picture rather than with words alone. Deriving from the condition above, this paper aims at finding out the benefits on the use of interactive ICT-based learning using multimedia design principles and finding out teachers’ responses toward the integration of ICT in the classroom teaching and learning. The study is conducted by administering questionnaires to 20 teachers in Indonesia. The result shows that there are benefits on the use of interactive ICT-based learning using multimedia design principles in the teaching and learning process and teachers also shows some positive responses on the integration of ICT in the classroom teaching and learning.

Role of Interactive Teaching Methods in Contemporary Higher Education: An Empirical Study

Journal of Positive School Psychology, 2022

The modernization of advanced education and the progress to the new Education Standards require a great quality of training of the graduates. The training of students should meet severe prerequisites such as professional capability, the ability to foresee the results of one's action, proficient communication skills, and so forth. Effective training can be done by using the practice-oriented methodology, dynamic & interactive teaching techniques, and competencies. The utilization of interactive techniques provide high inspiration and strength, supports interest in the profession, structure patterns of conduct, advance the effective securing of training material, also provides information, cooperation, and opportunity for articulation. The interactive techniques assist the students with shaping proficient capabilities, assembling intellectual abilities, fostering analytical reasoning, an interest in new information is awakened, and the creativity of character/personality is uncovered. This study discusses the role of interactive methods with the students studying in Contemporary Higher Education.

INTERACTIVE TEACHING METHODS IN CONTEMPORARY HIGHER EDUCATION

The main strategy of modern education should focus on the student's independent activity, the organization of self-learning environments and experimental and practical training, where students have a choice of actions and can use initiative—as well as flexible training programs where students can work in a comfortable rhythm. Today, we should talk about the use of interactive methods of training, which encourage interest in the profession; promote the efficient acquisition of training material; form patterns of conduct; provide high motivation, strength, knowledge, team spirit and freedom of expression; and most importantly, contribute to the complex competences of future specialists. We will give an overview of the modern teaching methods that are most widespread in the scientific and methodological literature and have the potential to form the competences of future professionals. The training, case study, behavioural modelling, peer feedback, play project, metaphor game, storytelling, basket and action learning methods—and their potential in professional training—are briefly described.

INTERACTIVE MULTIMEDIA COURSEWARE AN EFFECTIVE TECHNO-PEDAGOGICAL TOOL

Review Of ReseaRch, 2018

Integration of technology in the classroom is a prime requirement in the present technological era. Computer based modern Multimedia presentation is a good teaching learning tool. Again if this type of presentation becomes interactive with the learners then it transforms to an effective techno-pedagogical tool for developing symbolic chemical concepts for all kind of learners. This symbolic chemical concept is abstract, the most important and difficult one to realize of the three chemical concepts: macro, micro and symbolic or representative. In this experiment we are to investigate the effectiveness and successful implementation of interactive multimedia courseware as techno-pedagogical tool for developing the basic abstract concepts in Organic Chemistry of class XI-XII students.
