Ottoman-Iran relations have attracted the attentions of historians have been the subject of many researches from the beginning until today. Among the reasons for this; The influence of Iran in internal disorder of the Ottoman Empire, sectarian activities of Iran, the Safavids seeing Anatolia as a spreading area, land domination between the two states, border disputes and economic concerns can be listed. The years of 1722-1725 were a period when the relations between the Safavid Dynasty, ruled in Iran, and the Ottoman Empire were intense in terms of political, social and military aspects. One of the main sources to be consulted for this period is the Mühimme Notebooks. In these books, the developments between the two states and preparations before the campaign, the shipment of ammunition, soldiers and grain, the orders sent to the administrators and the Russian-Ottoman relations are also included. In this study, by examining the numbers of 130, 131, 132 Mühimme Notebooks, the above-mentioned issues were researched. The purpose of this study is to reveal the duties of Erzurum, Van and Trabzon, which are the border provinces in the relations between the Ottoman Empire and Iran, by means of archive sources and to shed light on from the past to the present.
