Continuous selections of solution sets to evolution equations
Proceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1991
We prove the existence of a continuous selection of the multivalued map ξ → T ( ξ ) \xi \to \mathcal {T}(\xi ) , where T ( ξ ) \mathcal {T}(\xi ) is the set of all weak (resp. mild) solutions of the Cauchy problem \[ x ˙ ( t ) ∈ A x ( t ) + F ( t , x ( t ) ) , x ( 0 ) = ξ \dot x(t) \in Ax(t) + F(t,x(t)),\quad x(0) = \xi \] , assuming that F F is Lipschitzian with respect to x x and − A - A is a maximal monotone map (resp. A A is the infinitesimal generator of a C 0 {C_0} -semigroup). We also establish an analog of Michael’s theorem for the solution sets of the Cauchy problem x ˙ ( t ) ∈ F ( t , x ( t ) ) , x ( 0 ) = ξ \dot x(t) \in F(t,x(t)),\;x(0) = \xi .
Cubo (Temuco)
In this article, we consider a class of nonlinear parabolic equations. We use an integral representation combined with a sort of fixed point theorem to prove the existence of classical solutions for the initial value problem (1.1), (1.2). We also obtain a result on continuous dependence on the initial data. We propose a new approach for investigation for existence of classical solutions of some classes nonlinear parabolic equations.
Abstract approach of degenerate parabolic equations with dynamic boundary conditions
arXiv: Analysis of PDEs, 2017
An initial boundary value problem of the nonlinear diffusion equation with a dynamic boundary condition is treated. The existence problem of the initial-boundary value problem is discussed. The main idea of the proof is an abstract approach from the evolution equation governed by the subdifferential. To apply this, the setting of suitable function spaces, more precisely the mean-zero function spaces, is important. In the case of a dynamic boundary condition, the total mass, which is the sum of volumes in the bulk and on the boundary, is a point of emphasis. The existence of a weak solution is proved on this basis.
On some abstract variable domain hyperbolic differential equations
Annali di Matematica Pura ed Applicata, 1998
The Cauchy problem is studied for a class of linear abstract differential equations of hyperbolic type with variable domain. Existence and uniqueness results are proved for (suitably defined) weak solutions. Some applications to P.D.E. are also given: they concern linear hyperbolic equations either in non-cylindrical regions or with mixed variable lateral conditions.
A note on the parabolic equation with an arbitrary parameter at the derivative
Mathematical and Computer Modelling, 2011
We consider the parabolic differential equation εu ′ (t) + Au(t) = f (t), −∞ < t < ∞, (0.1) in a Banach space E with a strongly positive operator A and with an arbitrary positive parameter ε. We establish the well-posedness in difference analogue of Hölder space of the high order uniform difference scheme for (0.1). Moreover, in applications, the convergence estimates for the solutions of uniform difference schemes of the multidimensional parabolic differential equations with an arbitrary positive parameter ε are obtained.
