Factors Influencing the Learning of Class XII Science: A Perspectives of Students

The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors influencing students’ higher secondary level science performance in one of the higher secondary schools of Bhutan. A total of 150 students were selected through purposive sampling. The sample includes both current classes XI and XII and former class XII graduates of the school. Through the use of mixed method research design, the data were collected using survey questionaries and interview in focus group. The quantitative data were analysed using descriptive statistics techniques and qualitative based on themes. The result of the study showed that the science performance of students were negatively affected by the inadequate support from school administration, lack of experienced and dedicated teachers and, poor supports from parents and relatives of the students. A STYDY OF THE FACTORS ENHANCING SCIENCE EDUCATION LEARNING UPON BS STUDENTS IN DISTRICT PESHAWAR, PAKISTAN

In this study I made a survey of all those factors which are liable for enhancement of Science Education learning. The nature of this study was descriptive. The data was collected in district Peshawar from the selected 100, BS students of different colleges randomly. The study were consisted of the following questions: what are the key factors which affects Science Education? Whether Science Education practices are applicable at BS level? For the improvement of science education what related contents, methods and themes are mentioned? What recommendation will be made for the improvement of Science Education learning? Results of the study showed that among all the key factors that had greatest effect on Science Education learning use were qualified instructors, experienced teachers, experiments, collectively study, mutual interaction and cooperation between student and teachers, audiovisual aid, motivation, class size, and constant practices, monthly test and exams, the use of effective and modern teaching strategies, family supports Babyee's model, and text book. From the results of the study it was suggested that, teachers' motivation, involvement, participation and encouragement to the students for adopting the most useful and effective Science education approaches would definitely effect on students' learning performance.

Effectiveness of Determinants of Science Education at Secondary Level

The study was focused on identifying the determinants of science education and to examine the effectiveness of determinants of science education at secondary level. Population for the study consisted of science teachers of public and private sectors at secondary level of Punjab province. Sample was selected randomly which comprised 370 science teachers. In this quantitative study, questionnaire was preferred for teachers as a tool; a checklist was formulated for determinants. Proposed determinants were identified by a checklist. Through pilot study, the questionnaire was validated. The major conclusions showed that science objectives are understandable, logically structured, and their quality reflect enrichment of science education material. The Effect of Learning Styles, Motivation and Science Learning Facilities on the Students' Outcomes in Learning Science at 5 Grade of Elementry School

This study is aimed to analyze the influence of learning style, motivation, and science learning facilities on the achievement of students in learning science. This research was conducted at grade five Elementry School with a population of 269 students. The samples of this study were 160 students using proportional random sampling method. The instrument used in this study is a questionnaire that has been tested the validity and reliability. Whereas, data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The result of hypothesis test simultaneously, learning style, motivation and facility of science lesson have positive and significant impact to the achievement of students in learning science. Thus, it can be concluded that the learning style, motivation and science learning facilities has a positive and significant effect on the achievement of students.

Factors Affecting the Performance in Science of Grade Six Pupils in Sta. Cruz Elementary School

The study aimed to determine the factors affecting the performance in Science of grade six pupils in Sta. Cruz Elementary School. The study considered 311 grade six pupils as respondents of the study. The sample size was determined utilizing the Slovin's formula. They were chosen through simple random sampling technique. They were described in terms of sex, monthly family income, sibling position and parents' educational attainment. Descriptive survey design was applied utilizing a researcher-made questionnaire-checklist as the main instrument in gathering the needed data on the factors affecting the performance in Science of grade six pupils with respect to learning environment, study habits and peer influence. Likewise, documentary analysis was applied since the average grades of the pupils in Science were utilized to determine the level of their academic performance. The study revealed that the pupil-respondents are mostly males. Majority belong to families with more than three children. Most of them belongs to families with monthly income below ₱10,000. Most of the parents did not finish their college education. Learning environment, study habits and peer influence often affect the academic performance in Science of the grade six pupils. Sex, monthly family income and mother's educational attainment are Significant on the extent of the factors affecting the performance in Science of the respondents. On the other hand, sibling position and mothers' educational attainment are not significant. Grade six pupils obtained Satisfactory performance in Science as revealed by their average grades in the subject in the first grading period. The test rejected the null hypothesis for the correlation between the perceived extent of the factors and academic performance of the pupils. That study concluded that the perceived extent of the factors affecting the performance in Science of the pupils with respect to learning environment, study habits and peer influence differ significantly when they are grouped according to sex, monthly family income and mother's educational attainment. Academic performance of pupils is significantly associated on the learning environment, study habits and peer influence. The study recommended that teachers should continuously maintain the positive learning environment to enhance pupils' performance in Science. Pupils should be motivated and monitored to improve their study habits thereby improving their academic performance. Pupils should be exposed to varied learning activities to enhance their level of interest, attitude and performance. The proposed plan of action is recommended for implementation. Similar studies may be conducted considering other variables.

For social and economic change in the modern world, biology is a highly powerful tool. The Bargarh district, however, consistently sees pupils who perform poorly in the subject. This study aimed to compare science teachers' reported classroom practises with those actually observed. It also attempted to observe certain pedagogical strategies used by science instructors in the state of Odisha. Local and national policies both place a lot of emphasis on teaching methods. Actions and reforms are aimed at fostering teamwork both nationally and at the school level as well as high-quality classroom instruction. The objective of this study was to add to this body of information. A descriptive survey approach and a sample size of 70 instructors from schools were used in the study. Questionnaires for biology teachers and students, interview schedules for administrators and the district education officer, and observation checklists for theoretical and practical teaching were some of the research tools employed. Descriptive statistics were employed to examine the data, and frequencies and percentages were utilized to summaries the results in relation to the main study variables.
