The main theme of this study is to find out the use of whatsapp in Chhattisgarh libraries. For this study a structure questionnaire were distributed among the Chhattisgarh area libraries. Because in our modern life social networking sites have a great importance. There are various types of apps to connect the people regularly but most popular app is whatsapp. Through this app everybody can interact other persons with in a second. People have to time to go and visit and collect news themselves. Whatsapp connect peoples throughout the world. They can message, talk and video call easily through this app. So it has a great importance in our modern society. This app is totally free & more than 1.2 billion people use this app regularly. Library science professionals are also attracted to this app because its various facilities.
Use of WhatsApp for Effective Delivery of Library and Information Services
Information communication technology playing a major role in transmitting idea, thought and information between one to another. Social networking websites are a good example of communication network and it is a social structure that lets the user interact and work collaboratively with other users. WhatsApp is a free instant messenger application that allows users to send text messages and multimedia files. In this paper, an online survey was conducted to measure usability of WhatsApp for service delivery in the libraries and information centres. A random sample was selected from social networking sites from all over India and an online questionnaire was used to gather information from respondents. Findings indicated that respondents showed a positive attitude toward getting services over WhatsApp. Most of the respondents believe that use of WhatsApp can improve alert services (CAS, virtual reference, notifications) and libraries can utilise their potential for providing better user services.

s: Purpose-Present study aims to understand the nature and kind of the services provided through WhatsApp platform and to determine its effectiveness. Design/Methodology/Approach-The study is used to explore the use of WhatsApp to provide mobile information services by academic libraries to the academic and research community. It investigates the features of the WhatsApp in light of the different library services. Findings-The study identifies WhatsApp as a strong instant communication and messaging tool for both the group information services as well as personalized information services. It is used to examine the different levels of application, to describe the characteristics of application, and to provide practical advice and detailed examples. Originality/Value-This paper points out the prospect of applying WhatsApp in libraries, and promotes its use in library services to facilitate reference service and the use of library resources.
This study aimed to investigate the interest and use of WhatsApp technology among the library users of National Defence University Pakistan. Design/methodology/approach A questionnaire in google forms was created shared with the students of five departments of National Defence University Pakistan via email. The data were tabulated and analyzed using SPSS 22 for this paper. Findings This study revealed that WhatsApp is a robust and state of the art technology that could be embedded with digital library services to approach the library's patrons. This technology will help the library users getting quality services. Some technical and human resource factors could affect the delivery of services and hence need to be addressed. Therefore, it is recommended that library management should take necessary action to Embedded WhatsApp with Digital library services to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. Practical implications The WhatsApp is one of the most prominet technologies in social media applications that is deployed by many organizations including libraries. This technologies help the patrons at campus and remote places around the clock. Consequently, it will increase the quality of library services with greater satisfaction among users. Originality/value This study focuses on WhatsApp technology in the academic environment of National Defence University, Pakistan. This study is the first attempt of the researcher to highlight the critical issue. This study will be helpful for the library users of National Defence University and the entire academic setup in Islamabad.
Use of Social Networking Site WhatsApp among the user of State Library, Shimla: a Case Study
WhatsApp is one of the popular medium for sharing and connecting with the peoples. This study highlights the user perception towards use of WhatsApp in students learning. For this study 80 filled questionnaires has collected and analyzed. The paper highlights the use of WhatsApp in day today activities, what kinds of problems they face, and what kind activities they do in WhatsApp. How much time spent? The results of the study reveal that the majority respondents 35 male and female 24 use WhatsApp in daily basis out of 80. 90% of respondents think that WhatsApp is very much useful for finding and sharing of information related to the his/her subjects. Low internet speed is major issue for connecting WhatsApp with 44 (55%) of respondents. The study also indicate that majority of respondents do many activities on WhatsApp like for group discussion 67 (85%), 63(80%) Sharing resources, informing educational agenda 56 (71%) and sharing job vacancy 56 (71%)

Here we have given an outline of Whatsapp and Telegram, comparison between both of these in respect of modern Library services to understand better service provider Apps in highly demand with better facilities.

Most of the Academic libraries (school, college or University) are providing traditional as well as digital library services to their target community as per their strength and capability. Circulation of documents in a college Library in West Bengal is mainly done in the traditional way. Covid-19 virus has stopped all types of traditional activities once upon a time. Most of the students did not have the access of computer. Libraries were not ready with the digital archive of materials. The aim of this paper is to show that in this situation how "Whatsapp" the web 2.0 tool became a temporary solution to the users and Library professionals and how a library professional can give library services through Whatsapp.

Sentiment analysis is also known as opinion mining. Sentiment analysis is contextual mining of text which identifies and extracts subjective information in textual data. It is extremely used by business, educational organizations, and social media monitoring to gain the general outlook of the wide public regarding their product and policy. The current study looks for gaining insights into user reviews on the National Digital Library of India (NDLI) mobile app (android and iOS). For this purpose, sentiment analysis will be used. It yields an average of 3.64/5 ratings based on 11,861 reviews. The dataset includes a total of 4560 user reviews in which iOS and the android app have received 33 and 4527 reviews respectively as on 7th Sept 2021. AppBot and AppFollow analytics software is used to extract and collect user review information as raw data. The study shows the reviews of the NDLI mobile app as 2130 positive and 1808 negative sentiments for android & 6 positive and 22 negative sentiments for iOS. The overall sentiment score is found to be 66%. The results of the sentiment analysis show that Android users are more satisfied as compared to iOS users. The most frequent complaints made by the users are functional errors, feature requests and app crashes. Some of the major issues that users have complained about are books that need to be downloaded before reading and some pdfs are blank once opened. The value of this research is getting an insight into the behaviour of users towards using apps on different platforms (Android vs iOS) and provides valuable results for the app developers in monitoring usage and enhancing features for the satisfaction of users. The findings reveal that stakeholders/developers need to pay more attention to make the app more userfriendly.
What Librarians Need2Know - Instant Messaging and Chat as Reference Services in Public Libraries

Need2Know is the name of a test work made by the public libraries of Aalborg, Denmark. Using MSN Messenger as a tool for synchronous reference service the project tested if it is possible to reach new library users with instant messaging as a platform. The authors of this paper followed the test work as researchers. The paper does not give a detailed report or evaluation of the test work but presents the project and discusses the implications of the use of instant messaging and new media in the public library. The test work was a great success. A contract with Microsoft provided banner spots exposing Need2Know to MSN users, and 700 users signed up for the service. The users were mostly young people at the age of 12-15 years, a group of users who in recent years has deselected the library.
