Investigation of what motivation factors influence in retail sector in UK? ( A case study of Sainsbury's)

Motivation is a technique, which is always been used by managers for the purpose of increasing the efficiency level of staffs. Motivation plays a vital role for any kind of organisation. In retail sector customers are like God, so satisfying customer is very important and for providing high quality customer service motivated workers are mandatory. The following study investigates the different types of motivational factor that influences the employee motivation and the whole study will deploy under 10 Paternoster Square branch of Sainsbury’s, London. This research will start with an introduction contains with background of the research, research questions, research objective, rational of the research and structure of the full work. The following part will be literature review, which will cover with theoretical analysis and definitions. Then in chapter three research methodologies will be described and the following will be analysis findings and data presentation. This research will end up with summary of the whole research, potential recommendation, solution and finally conclusion.

The aim of this paper is to evaluate the management and motivation of people and employees as part of the corporate culture in aselected company in a retail chain. The selected company has been operating in Slovakia since 2000, when it opened its first branch. Today, this chain of stores operates almost all over Slovakia and is still expanding. Creating employees’ motivational paths in the retail trade

This study examines the manifestation of intrinsic motivation by exploring the sources of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation among employees of a retail hypermarket. The research uses narrative and ethnographical analysis from 24 interviews. Two unique dimensions were created for motivational power-source and growth process-for a new typology of work motivation. The typology consists of four processes: intrinsic regulation, intrinsic valuation, extrinsic valuation, and extrinsic regulation. The results show how intrinsic motivation can be reinforced through these processes. Recommendations are presented for different personnel teams in the service sector.

A Review on Art of Creating Values in Retail for Improving Business Performance

Today the retail business environment becomes more complex and unpredictable in nature. In this research article researchers try to discus on engagement of arts in creating values in retail sector organisations. As the art based methods are used in various organisational developments, so this paper focused on four processes proposed by Darso and Dawids (2002) in retail sector organisation, to identify how these methods innovatively works on retail customers and why these process are important for the retail organisation performance. We identifies that the retailers should have to focus on the use of arts based method such as decoration, entertainment, developing the high skilled employees and attractive retail environment, enables customer to see the retail store environment more differently which helps in improving the performance of retail sector organisations. Based on the review of earlier published literatures, the present study shows that the uses of arts in creating shopping values more innovative, effectively and efficiently in retail sector organisations, have become a key to develop the effective business strategy to get competitive advantages over others.
