Nowadays we are able to track vehicles using many applications which help in securing personal vehicles, public vehicles, feet units and others. Furthermore there is a rapid increase in the occurrence of the Road accident. This project is about a system which is developed to automatically detect an accident and alert the nearest hospitals and medical services about it. This system can also locate the place of the accident so that the medical services can be directed immediately towards it. The goal of this paper is to build up a Vehicle accidental monitoring system using MEMS, GPS and GSM Technology. The system comprises of accelerometer, MCU, GPS & GSM Module support in sending message. The accelerometer is used to detect fall and Threshold Algorithm are used to detect accident. Short Message will contain GPS [Latitude, Longitude] which helps in locating the vehicles.

The Rapid growth of technology and infrastructure has made our lives easier. The advent of technology has also increased the traffic hazards and the road accidents take place frequently which causes huge loss of life and property because of the poor emergency facilities. Our project will provide an optimum solution to this draw back. An accelerometer can be used in a car alarm application so that dangerous driving can be detected. It can be used as a crash or rollover detector of the vehicle during and after a crash. With signals from an accelerometer, a severe accident can be recognized. According to this project when a vehicle meets with an accident immediately Vibration sensor will detect the signal or if a car rolls over, and Micro electro mechanical system (MEMS) sensor will detects the signal and sends it to ARM controller. Microcontroller sends the alert message through the GSM MODEM including the location to police control room or a rescue team. So the police can immediately trace the location through the GPS MODEM, after receiving the information. Then after conforming the location necessary action will be taken. If the person meets with a small accident or if there is no serious threat toanyonès life, then the alert message can be terminated by the driver by a switch provided in order to avoid wasting the valuable time of the medical rescue team. This paper is useful in detecting the accident precisely by means of both vibration sensor and Micro electro Mechanical system (MEMS) or accelerometer. As there is a scope for improvement and as a future implementation we can add a wireless webcam for capturing the images which will help in providing driver`s assistance. The high demand of automobiles has also increased the traffic hazards and the road accidents. Life of the people is under high risk. This is because of the lack of best emergency facilities available in our country. An automatic alarm device for vehicle accidents is introduced in this paper. This design is a system which can detect accidents in significantly less time and sends the basic information to first aid centre within a few seconds covering geographical coordinates, the time and angle in which a vehicle accident had occurred. This alert message is sent to the rescue team in a short time, which will help in saving the valuable lives. A Switch is also provided in order to terminate the sending of a message in rare case where there is no casualty, this can save the precious time of the medical rescue team. When the accident occurs the alert message is sent automatically to the rescue team and to the police station. The message is sent through the GSM module and the location of the accident is detected with the help of the GPS module. The accident can be detected precisely with the help of both Micro electro mechanical system (MEMS) sensor and vibration sensor. The Angle of the rolls over of the car can also be known by the message through the MEMS sensor. This application provides the optimum solution to poor emergency facilities provided to the roads accidents in the most feasible way.

In this Project, wireless black box using MEMS accelerometer and GPS tracking system is developed for accidental monitoring. The method consists of cooperative components of an accelerometer, GPS device, mic rocontroller unit and GSM module. In the occurrence of accident, this wireless device will send mobile phone short massage indicating the position of vehicle by GPS system to family member, emergency medical service (EMS) and nearest hospital. The threshol d algorithm and the speed of motorcycle are used to determine fall or accident in real - time. The method is compact and easy to install under rider place. Accident Detection and Reporting System Using GPS and GSM Module
With the growing population the use of vehicles has become superfluous.and this has led to the accidents increasing at an alarming rate resulting in a large loss of property and human life.This project aims at finding the occurrence of any accident and reporting the location of accident to the previously coded numbers so that immediate help can be provided by ambulance or the relatives concerned.GSM technology is used to intimate the vehicle position in the form of latitude and longitude coordinates through sms.The location spot is retrieved using Global Positioning System which is a navigational system using a network of satellites orbiting the earth. Sensors such as vibration,alcohol and fire detectors detect signal in case of an accident occurence and send a signal to the connected microcontroller .The controller in turn operates the relay to blow the airbag and automatically lock the brakes.Meanwhile a message reaches to the necessary help.and thus ambulance service and required aid can reach in the shortest time possible. This system can also aid companies in the rental vehicle business to keep a track of the vehicular activity by sending message at regular intervals to the authorised numbers. INTRODUCTION: In today's world there is a severe increase in the use of vehicles.Such heavy automobile usage has increased traffic and thus resulting in a rise in road accidents.This takes a toll on the property as well as causes human life loss because of unavailability of immediate safety facilities.Complete accident prevention is unavoidable but at least repercussions can be reduced. Proposed system makes an effort to provide the emergency facilities to the victims in the shortest time possible.In big organizations the drivers make illegal use of the vehicles thus resulting in financial,time loss of the organisation. Apart from these purposes the system can be used for tracking of stolen vehicles or travelling luggage,fleet management and vehicular sales etc.The system incorporates a single-board embedded system that contains GPS and GSM modems connected with a microcontroller.The entire setup is installed in the vehicle.A vibration sensor is used. It measures the vibration at the location it is placed.The signal is then compared with the standard values which further confers the accident of the car, unnecessary shock or vibration produced by machines,tilt of the car with respect to the earth's axis can be identified with the level of acceleration.Global Positioning System (GPS) is used to identify the location of the vehicle.GSM is used to inform the exact vehicular location to the precoded numbers.Message will give longitude and latitude values. From these values location of accident can be determined.GSM modem provides a two way communication by using a sim card.Such a module works the same as a regular phone. The project aims at intelligent security system providing situational awareness and agile safety .
Accident Alert System using GPS and GSM Module

Nowadays, Over 37,000 people die in road accidents each year because medical aid cannot reach to the location in time. This system aims to alert the nearby medical center and register mobile numbers about the accident to provide immediate medical aid. The vibrator attached in the vehicle senses sudden vibrations in the vehicle, and Accelerometer detects the tilt of the vehicle. Once the accident occurs to the vehicle, with the help of the GPS module, it takes the exact location of the vehicle and sends the accident location to the registered mobile numbers and the ambulance with the support of the GSM module. The main aim of this project is to minimize the time to reach the accident location to provide iSmmediate medical help that saves human lives.
CAR ACCIDENT DETECTION SYSTEM USING GPS AND GSM
India witnessed one road accident every minute in 2011 which claimed one life every 3.7 minutes, one of the highest in the world. Mint reported last year: As per the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), in the year 2011 there were 440,123 road accidents resulting in the death of 136,834 people. The incidence of accidental deaths increased by 44.2% in 2011 from 2001.This paper proposes a new dimension in order to allow early response and rescue of accident victims; saving lives and properties. Our system uses the capability of GPS and GSM along with the android phone to provide a solution which can be used to precisely detect the accident spot and to send the emergency notification to the nearby hospital " s ICU and to the victim " s relatives. The proposed system consist of two unit namely, Crash Detector Embedded Unit and Android Control Unit. Crash Detector Embedded Unit is responsible for detecting the accident condition using three-axis accelerometer sensor, position encoder, bumper sensor and one false alarm switch. Bluetooth module (HC-05) is used to send the accident notification to the victim " s android phone where an android app will get the GPS location of accident spot and compare it with all the nearby hospital " s location in order to calculate the shortest path and send the notification to the nearest hospital " s ICU as mentioned earlier in the form of SMS.
ACCIDENT DETECTION & ALERTING SYSTEM
Security in travelling is a primary concern for everyone. Rising demand for automobile has increased the traffic, thereby causing more accidents on the road. People often lose their lives because of poor emergency facilities in the case of unattended accidents. Pre-emption of the accidents taking place on the roads is not possible but at least the after effects can be minimized. The proposed system ensures making emergency facilities available to accident victims as early as possible by letting relatives, hospital or a rescue team know the accident spot with the help of this module embedded in the vehicle. Sensors are attached to the microcontroller. In case there is an accident, the sensor gets activated and the GSM system will send notifications to the nearest hospital, police station or kind of the victim with the location coordinates where the accident has occurred. With the help of space navigation system GPS locates the position of the vehicle where accident has occurred.

the largest cause of unnatural deaths in the world today (apart from diseases) is road accidents. With increase in population and thus in the number of vehicles, accidents are only going to increase. Most of these deaths are due to delay in medical attention to the injured. The major cause of this delay is lack of intimation or delayed intimation of the accident to emergency medical response authorities. This can be addressed by the system proposed. This system uses an accelerometer, GSM modem and a GPS device along with a microcontroller to report an accident. The system also incorporates a "panic switch" which when depressed will send a text message for help to stored numbers. This facility provides assistance in the case of some chronic medical condition like heart attack or robberies that are increasing on highways.

The main cause of accidents is a high speed, drink and drive, diverting minds, over stress, and due to electronic gadgets. This project deals with accident detection that occurs due to the carelessness of the person who is driving the vehicle.
