A Model for Information Integration Using Service Oriented Architecture

Business agility remains to be the keyword that drives the business into different directions and enabling a 360 degree shift in the business process. To achieve agility the organization should work on real time information and data. The need to have instant access to information appears to be ever shine requirement of all organizations or enterprise. Access to information does not come directly with a single query but a complex process termed Information integration. Information integration has been in existence for the past two decades and has been progressive up to now. The challenges and issues keep on persisting as information integration problem evolves by itself. This paper addresses the issues in the approaches, techniques and models pertaining to information integration and identifies the problem for a need for a complete model. As SOA is the architectural style that is changing the business patterns today, this paper proposes a service oriented model for information integration. The model mainly focuses on giving a complete structure for information integration that is adaptable to any environment and open in nature. Here information is converted into service and then the information services are integrated through service oriented integration to provide the integrated information also as service.
Integration of Inter-Connectivity of Information System (i3) using Web Services

The growth and development of institutions day by day especially universities are increasing very large number of peoples including employees as well as students, working on different domain in distance between multiple integrated institutes, and degrading the overall efficiency of system that cannot facilitate better interoperability and automated integration. In many universities, exist system does not have yet set of connections, in spite of the fact they have different systems running on different platforms in different administrative units/departments. University of Sindh (UoS) is the one of them.
SOA Implementation for Systems Integration Mechanism in two Companies
Information systems that are implemented using information technology today have become one of the effective support tools for companies to support the smooth running of their business. This technology has also been considered an important resource for companies because it has many benefits in its use. The majority of company information systems use more than 1 application for their business needs. These applications will be more useful if integrated with each other. In this paper, we focus on designing the implementation of integration between 2 applications in 2 different companies using the concept of Service Oriented Architecture. With the implementation of using this concept, it is hoped that each application will become free of dependency and exchange data more efficiently.
An Implementation of Web Services for Inter-Connectivity of Information Systems

As educational institutions and their departments rapidly increase, a communication between their end-users becomes more and more difficult in traditional online management systems (OMS). However, the end-users, i.e., employees, teaching staff, and students are associated to different sub-domains and using different sub-systems that are executed on different platforms following different administrative policies. Because of their intercommunication is not automated integrated, consequently, the overall efficiency of the system is degraded and the communication time is increased. Therefore, a technique for better interoperability and automated integration of departments is an urgent needed. Many of existing systems does not have a set of connections yet, such as the system of the University of Sindh (UoS). In this paper, we propose a system for the UoS, named integration of inter-connectivity of information system (i3) based on service oriented architecture (SOA) with web services. The system i3 monitors and exchanges the student's information in support of verification along heterogeneous and decentralized nature. Moreover, the proposed system provides capability of interoperability between their sub-systems that are deployed in different departments of UoS and using different programming languages and database management systems (DBMS).
Experience in SOA based Integration of Systems
An real integration, based on the service oriented architecture (SOA), of two medical system is presented. The web services exposed by the systems are used to integrate them. A brief description of integrated systems is also given. An integration architecture is proposed. The integration is based on Publish integration pattern. BPEL processes, necessary in the integration, are graphically presented. Some technical details concerning the implementation are also given. The weak and strong points of the SOA based integration are pointed out.
SOA approach for integration of departmental systems

In this paper a unified method for integration of departmental systems into the main systems of a healthcare organization is described. The approach is based on combining Business Process Modeling (BPM) and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) methods and technologies. A top-down approach is used for modeling the care process and supporting care services which in turn are decomposed down to such a level of granularity that they can be described and implemented as web services described with Web Services Description Language (WSDL) documents. Then a bottom-up approach is used for wrapping the existing departmental systems and their interfaces into web services using Enterprise Service Bus (ESB). Finally the orchestration of the services is described using executable Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) code.
ENTERPRISE APPLICATION INTEGRATION BASED ON SERVICE ORIENTED ARCHITECTURE
Influence of information technology on enterprises and the done development of this ground has caused that there have been software and information systems in the most enterprises having designed the base of enterprise activity on the basis of them. But most of the used application are designed and developed by different companies and have various technologies and platforms and in actually not designed for relation with each other. Interoperability between applications of the enterprise and integration between them have been in the most important needs of the enterprise and purpose developers application. With appearance of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) a new approach was created in the world of software which provides possibility of implementing Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) with removing the privious limitations and defects without depending on the used platform and technology. In this essay considered the methods based of the SOA for integrating the applications and also mechanisms of transferring legacy systems to the SOA is described.
Service oriented architecture: a new paradigm for enterprise application integration

Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is an emerging architectural style for developing and integrating enterprise applications. Businesses are required to be agile and flexible and IT managers are being asked to deliver improved functionality while leveraging existing IT investment. Globalisation, tighter economies, business process outsourcing and ever increasing regulatory environments are forcing the large enterprises to transform the way they provide their business and services. SOA promises better alignment of IT with business, seamless integration of business functions and reduced costs of development and, therefore, enterprises are moving towards this new paradigm. However, there are numerous obstacles that must be overcome before the promise can become a reality. In this paper, we introduce the SOA approach, present the benefits and challenges it offers and provide guidance for building and implementing SOA. The objective is to provide enough background information that enterprises wishing to embark on the road to SOA have a better understanding of this approach.
