On Topological Indices of Certain Families of Nanostar Dendrimers
Molecules (Basel, Switzerland), 2016
A topological index of graph G is a numerical parameter related to G which characterizes its molecular topology and is usually graph invariant. In the field of quantitative structure-activity (QSAR)/quantitative structure-activity structure-property (QSPR) research, theoretical properties of the chemical compounds and their molecular topological indices such as the Randić connectivity index, atom-bond connectivity (ABC) index and geometric-arithmetic (GA) index are used to predict the bioactivity of different chemical compounds. A dendrimer is an artificially manufactured or synthesized molecule built up from the branched units called monomers. In this paper, the fourth version of ABC index and the fifth version of GA index of certain families of nanostar dendrimers are investigated. We derive the analytical closed formulas for these families of nanostar dendrimers. The obtained results can be of use in molecular data mining, particularly in researching the uniqueness of tested (hyp...
On Forgotten Topological Indices of Some Dendrimers Structure
Molecules (Basel, Switzerland), 2017
A series of previously conducted experiments pertaining to various chemicals and drugs uncover a natural linkage between the molecular structures and the bio-medical and pharmacological characteristics. The forgotten topological index computed for the molecular structures of various chemical compounds and drugs has proven significant in medical and pharmaceutical fields by predicting biological features of new chemical compounds and drugs. A topological index can be considered as the transformation of chemical structure into a real number. Dendrimers are highly-branched star-shaped macromolecules with nanometer-scale dimensions. Dendrimers are defined by three components: a central core, an interior dendritic structure (the branches), and an exterior surface with functional surface groups. In this paper, we determine forgotten topological indices of poly(propyl) ether imine, porphyrin, and zinc-porphyrin dendrimers.
Processes
Topological indices have been computed for various molecular structures over many years. These are numerical invariants associated with molecular structures and are helpful in featuring many properties. Among these molecular descriptors, the eccentricity connectivity index has a dynamic role due to its ability of estimating pharmaceutical properties. In this article, eccentric connectivity, total eccentricity connectivity, augmented eccentric connectivity, first Zagreb eccentricity, modified eccentric connectivity, second Zagreb eccentricity, and the edge version of eccentric connectivity indices, are computed for the molecular graph of a PolyEThyleneAmidoAmine (PETAA) dendrimer. Moreover, the explicit representations of the polynomials associated with some of these indices are also computed.
Topological indices of some families of nanostar dendrimers
2018
A molecular graph is hydrogen depleted chemical structure in which vertices denote atoms and edges denote the bonds. Nanostar dendrimers, a type of chemical compound, have potential in fields such as chemistry, nanotechnology, electronics, optics, materials science and architecture. Nanostar dendrimers and their molecular descriptors are being widely used in QSAR/QSPR and these are studies in chemistry and drugj designing as well as modeling of compounds. There are certain types of topological indices like distance based, degree based and counting related topological indices. In this article we gave exacts relations for first and second Zagrebs index, hyper Zagreb index, multiplicative Zagreb indices ass well as first and second Zagreb polynomials for some families of nanostar dendrimers.
Study of Dendrimers by Topological Indices
Acta Chemica Iasi
In this paper, five degree based topological indices, the first Zagreb (M1), second Zagreb (M2), first multiple Zagreb (PM1), second multiple Zagreb (PM2), and the hyper Zagreb (HM) indices of two types of dendrimers are studied. In addition, two distance based topological indices, the total eccentricity (θ) and eccentric connectivity (ξc) indices of these dendrimers are computed.
THE ( a , b )-ZAGREB INDEX OF NANOSTAR DENDRIMERS
2018
Let be a simple graph, where and are the vertex and edge sets of , and represent the number of vertices and edges of respectively. The degree of a vertex is defined as the number of adjacent vertices of in and is denoted as . A topological index is a real number related to a chemical constitution for correlation of a chemical structure with various physicochemical properties. Quantitative structure-activity relationships (QSAR) and quantitative structure-properties relationships (QSPR) are mathematical correlation between a specified biological activity and one or more physicochemical properties, known as descriptors as they describe the activity or property under examination. Different topological indices are correlate with biological and physicochemical properties of chemical compounds. Therefore, they are useful descriptors in QSAR and QSPR that are used for predictive purposes, such as prediction of the toxicity of a chemical or the potency of a drug for future release in the ma...
Comparison of Irregularity Indices of Several Dendrimers Structures
Processes
Irregularity indices are usually used for quantitative characterization of the topological structures of non-regular graphs. In numerous problems and applications, especially in the fields of chemistry and material engineering, it is useful to be aware of the irregularity of a molecular structure. Furthermore, the evaluation of the irregularity of graphs is valuable not only for quantitative structure-property relationship (QSPR) and quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) studies but also for various physical and chemical properties, including entropy, enthalpy of vaporization, melting and boiling points, resistance, and toxicity. In this paper, we will restrict our attention to the computation and comparison of the irregularity measures of different classes of dendrimers. The four irregularity indices which we are going to investigate are σ irregularity index, the irregularity index by Albertson, the variance of vertex degrees, and the total irregularity index.
Vertex-Eccentricity Descriptors in Dendrimers
Studia Universitatis Babeș-Bolyai Chemia, 2017
In this paper, we present graph theoretical methods to compute several vertex-eccentricity-based molecular descriptors such as the eccentric connectivity index, total eccentricity, average eccentricity and first and second Zagreb eccentricity indices for the generalized and ordinary Bethe trees and some dendrimer graphs. Also, we study the behavior of these descriptors under the rooted product of graphs and apply our results to compute these indices for some classes of molecular graphs, designed by attaching copies of ordinary Bethe trees to paths and cycles.

In the study of QSAR/QSPR, due to high degree of predictability of pharmaceutical properties, the eccentric-connectivity index has very important place among the other topological descriptors, In this paper, we compute the exact formulas of eccentric-connectivity index and its corresponding polynomial, total eccentric-connectivity index and its corresponding polynomial, first Zagreb eccentricity index, augmented eccentric-connectivity index, modified eccentric-connectivity index and its corresponding polynomial for a class of phosphorus containing dendrimers.
