Good health is a fundamental human right of every individual. Yoga has always been considered to contribute a good health. The present study attempted to compare adult participants (N=100, age: 18-35 years) comprising 50 yoga practitioners and 50 nonpractitioners from the residential areas of Punjab state in India for their mental and physical health status. World Health Organization quality of life scale (WHOQOL) was administered to all participants to find out status of various health facets. Obtained data were treated to one-way ANOVA statistics. Yoga exercise practitioners reported comparatively sound sleep, enhanced energy level, and overall general health wellness. Analysis of the scores revealed the significant differences (F(1,98)=70.37, p<.01) between the yoga practitioners and nonpractitioners groups. Yoga practices' benefits were explored across the nine facets of mental and physical health. This study clearly shows that yoga practice improves the mental health of the people.
