This final project is an Quantitative research. Indonesian People are difficult to learn English. Nowadays, learning contrastive analysis on Arabic and English is very important because the majority of Indonesian people are moslem. Mostly moslem, learning Arabic of Qur’an earlier. So that why, learning the correlation between those language will be useful to learn pronunciation easier. In this study, I limit the discussion by stating the following problem: (1) Do the students who have better pronunciation of Arabic consonants have better Pronunciation of English consonants?The aims of this quantitative research is: (1) to know the correlation and coefficient between students’ ability in pronouncing Arabic and English consonants. This study was conducted to analyze and describe a student's pronunciation between Arabic and Javanese (ngapak) at at the Darussalam Islamic boarding school in Purwokerto which was explored using the methods of observation, interviews, and documentation. This data aims to compare the sound system of Arabic and Javanese (ngapak) in Arabic conversation because it causes differences and similarities to the two languages so that using contrastive analysis because the majority of students are from Java so that the accent in speaking Arabic is still attached to the Javanese accent. The researcher conducted an in-depth analysis so that the data obtained could be evaluated using the right method, namely the introduction of hijaiyah letters according to the Arabic dialect so that the researcher's goal was to lead students to be able to pronounce Arabic according to good rules.

Arabic Literature faculty of cultural sciences, University of North Sumatra provides formal language learning to produce students who like to speak Arabic and can speak Arabic correctly, so that they can graduate with mumtaz predicate and can practice the knowledge gained while studying in Arabic literature. The most important thing in learning Arabic is in learning listening skills where students listen to the teacher in explaining a title using Arabic sounds, and students will present the title that has been explained in front of their friends using good and correct Arabic sounds. So the purpose of this study is: to find out about the causal factors of Arabic phonology problems and the solution of the problems contained in Arabic phonology problems. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. Data collection techniques in this study with observation and literature. Data Analysis Techniques This research is carried out using qualitative analysis techniques deductively, meaning from general things or theories to draw specific conclusions. And in an inductive way it relates to specific and concrete facts and then draws conclusions from the particular to the general.

The purpose of this study was to determine the variation of Arabic sounds pronounced by 8th-grade junior high school students in Java, Indonesia. The method used in this study uses a qualitative method with descriptive analysis with the research subject of 8th-grade junior high school children in Java, Indonesia. The results of the study found variations in sound changes in 8th-grade middle school children in Java, Indonesia.

The main purpose of this qualitative and descriptive study is to investigate the effect of the Arabic language speech sounds on learning English language pronunciation. In this contrastive analysis, the researcher described the speech sounds system of the Arabic language in comparison with their counterparts of English. The researcher used the direct observation as an instrument to observe and register notes about the students' pronunciation of both languages. However ,the results showed that there are speech sounds in the Arabic language that have counterparts in the English language and vice versa. Thus, these similarities between the speech sounds of the two languages facilitate and have positive effects on the process of learning the English language. The results also revealed that Arab EFL learners encounter many problems with learning English pronunciation especially with unfamiliar speech sounds that do not exist on their mother tongue since there are speech sounds in the Arabic language that do not have counterparts in the English language e.g. glottal stops. To sum up, due to these differences in the speech sounds of both languages, one can conclude that they have negative effects on the process of learning the English language and learners face difficulty in pronouncing these sounds correctly. Accordingly, mother tongue interference and overgeneralization rules affect the pronunciation and spelling of some English words. Finally, based on the results of this research, some suggestions and recommendations are presented which may help students and teachers in reducing Arab EFL learners' difficulties in improving their English pronunciation.
Arabic as a Foreign Language: Phonological Analysis of Speech Sounds Produced by Students

The aim of this paper is to expose the potential difficulties encountered by students learning Arabic as a foreign language (AFL) with a focus on sounds production. The research design was descriptive-analytic. The data was obtained using direct recording and interviews. The sample included 27 AFL students at the Arabic Institutes at IMSIU and KSU. The work on this research is twofold: first, the paper reports on teachers' and learners' views on the general difficulties encountered by students learning Arabic, focusing on those in post-secondary school getting ready for tertiary education. Secondly, the paper analyzes their speech for pronunciation errors found in sounds production. The results show that learners generally had no problem expressing themselves, but they had some pronunciation issues with some specific Arabic sounds. A Comparative Analysis between English and Indonesian Phonological Systems

This research deals with the descriptions and analyses on phonological systems of English and Indonesian languages which supply several similarities and differences. Similarities do not make the seventh semester students of the English Department of Tadulako University have trouble in learning L2 (English), but the differences between two languages do. Therefore, the parallels are not the problematic cases in the learning of L2 phonological system anyway. Based on the collected data, some differences are discovered such as phonemic oppositions and phonetic features, and so are their similarities. The approach applied in this study was qualitative. The data were collected via observation, interviews, and recording which were constructed in the form of field-notes. This study involved 20 English students of the English Department of Tadulako University. They have already had experiences in learning English but they still have problems in pronouncing English words.
An Errors Analysis of Arabic Phoneme in Non-Arabic Speaking Students at Junior High School

The Ability to pronounce correct phoneme is one of the basic elements in learning Arabic. This research aimed to obtain data about Arabic pronunciation errors in students at junior high school. The research approach is qualitative. The sample of this study was 30 students of the Al-Mahmud IT Junior High School in Bima, Indonesia which were selected by using a simple random sample technique. The data of this research were the results of the students' audiovisual recordings when reciting Arabic text. Data analysis used the analysis model of Tarigan's, namely; data collection, identification, description, explanation, classification and evaluation. The results of this study The causes of phoneme errors are: environment, interference and performance. Classification of errors consist of omission, adding mad and Substitution. Evaluation and suggestion; there some ways to develop in learning Arabic phoneme are: continuous practice, listening to Arabic audio and videos.
