Objectives Malnutrition is a clinical disorder and a common risk factor in older patients with diabetes that may impact their health. This study aimed to assess nutritional status and associated factors in elderly with diabetes in Kerman City, Iran. Methods & Materials This was a cross-sectional study conducted in Kerman in which 190 older patients with diabetes were included. Their nutritional habit was measured using the MNA. Data analysis was done using descriptive statistics and correlation among variables, analyzed by the Chi Square, T-test, and One Way ANOVA. Results The findings showed that 5.3% of elderly patients were suffering from malnutrition, and in 51.6% nutritional status was normal. Also, there was a statistically significant association between nutritional status and gender (P=0.036). There was a significant negative relationship between duration of diabetes and nutritional status in the elderly (r=0.192, P=0.008). Conclusion It is necessary to maintain and improve the status of elderly diabetic patients with malnutrition by administering normal nutritional status and special attention.

Introduction: Obesity as one of the most important public health problems is growing worldwide and it is associated with many non-communicable diseases. The aim of this study was investigating the prevalence of general obesity and central obesity and their related factors. Methods: The data of this research were extracted from a population health survey of Yazd province, Iran (YaHS), which was conducted on 9911 adults aged 20-70 years in 2014-2015. Body Mass Index (BMI) < 18.5 was considered underweight, in the range of 18.5-24.9 healthy, from 25 to 29.9 overweight, and ≥30 was interpreted as obese. Central obesity was defined as the waist circumference (WC) of ≥ 102 cm for men and ≥ 88 cm for women as well as waist to hip ratio (WHO) ≥ 0.90 for men and ≥0.85 for women. Chi-square and one-way ANOVA tests were used for univariate analysis. Results: The prevalence of underweight, overweight, and obesity in both genders were 3.7 % (4.0% in men and 3.4% in women), 37.7% (39.9% in men and 35.6% in women), and 27 % (19.3% in men and 34.7% in women), respectively. The prevalence of abdominal obesity based on WC and WHR were 44.8 (23.9% in males and 65.4% in females) and 69.8% (69.4% in males and 70.2% in females), respectively. Gender (female), old age, being married for both genders, and low education in women were associated with an increase in both types of obesity. Conclusion: Overweight and obesity have affected more than half of the population (64%) and abdominal obesity has high prevalence in Yazd

Predictors of successful ageing, Qazvin, 2018 Background: One of the important issues in the field of aging policymaking to improve their welfare is to recognize the concept of successful aging and planning based on the context and culture of society. Formulating and executing the successful aging policy and plans not only result in living longer, but also lead to a healthier and better quality of life for them. Given that investigating the effective factors for successful aging is the first step for promoting different aspects of their health, the present study was conducted to determine the predictors of successful aging in the elderly of Qazvin city. Materials and Methods: This descriptive and crosssectional study was conducted on 291 older people residing in Qazvin city in 2017. The elderly were selected using the cluster sampling method. Demographic characteristics checklist, successful aging, cognitive performance, SF-12 quality of life, Keyes social health questionairs, the satisfaction with life and Palutzian-Elison spiritual well-being scales were used for gathering the data. The questionnaires were completed with face to face interview by the researcher. Data were analyzed through Pearson, Spearman, independent t-tests and stepwise multivariate regression analysis was made using SPSS software, version 23. Results: The mean age of the elderly participating in the study was 34.68 with the standard deviation of 76.6 and with ranging from 60 to 87 years old. Results of the stepwise regression analysis showed that the independent variables included in the multivariate regression could predict 44% of the successful aging. The results also showed that the job (p = 0.002), income (p = 0.000), lack of emotional problems (p = 0.000), history of chronic illnesses (p = 0.004), cognitive function ((p = 0.047), physical health (p = 0.000), life satisfaction (p = 0.032), social health (p = 0.021), and The existential dimension of spiritual well being (p = 0.000) as predictors of successful aging were obtained. Conclusion: Considering the growing trend of aging in the country, there is an increasing need for special attention to this group of society. Successful aging causes to promote the person and finally, society. Therefore, studying the parameters affecting the successful aging can improve it. Methods: In this descriptive-correlational study, 384 patients referred to Imam Hossein Medical Education Center of Tehran participated by convenience sampling method. Data were collected using "Health Assistant Plan Evaluation Questionnaire" which developed in this study. Validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by content, face and construct validity through factor analysis. The reliability of the questionnaire was confirmed by internal consistency and Cronbach alpha. Data was analyzed by SPSS. 16. Results: There was a significant and positive correlation between social accountability and the quality of service delivery (r = 0.562, P = 0.001). The mean scores for the dimensions of human of dignity, autonomy, quality of facilities, access to support, communication clarity and behavioral aspects were less than average. The mean scores dimensions of privacy and confidentiality, the choice of therapist, equipment and physical facilities, environmental health, access and care were more than average. Conclusions: There was a correlation between social accountability and the quality of services delivery at Imam Hossein Hospital. It is suggested that health planners and health officials consider the two main principles of social accountability and quality of service delivery.

The aim of the present study was to validate the Persian version of the Kellner's Emotional Inhibition Scale. Method: The statistical population of the study included all people who referred to counseling centers in Khorramabad, Doroud and Boroujerd in 2020 and 2021, from which 400 people were selected by convenience sampling. In the present study, in order to determine the factor validity, the statistical method of confirmatory factor analysis, in order to determine the reliability of the questionnaire, the Cronbach's alpha coefficient method and in order to evaluate the simultaneous validity of the instrument, the Deficits in Executive Functioning Scale by Barkley (2011) were used. Results: In the present study, Cronbach's alpha coefficient for the whole questionnaire was 0.79. The results of confirmatory factor analysis confirmed the four-factor structure of the Kellner's Emotional Inhibition Scale (verbal inhibition, Timidity, disguise feeling, self-control). The results of the correlation between the Kellner's Emotional Inhibition Scale and the Deficits in Executive Functioning Scale showed a significant correlation between the components of the two tools and the simultaneous validity of the Kellner's Emotional Inhibition Scale. Conclusion: Since the fitness indices of the factor analysis model had a good fit and the Cronbach's alpha coefficient indicated the internal consistency of the items of this tool, this questionnaire has good validity and reliability, which can be used to assess emotion inhibition in future research.
