The rapid development of economy is inseparable from the continuous construction of railways. Railway selection as the most important link in project construction must meet the requirements of national politics, economy and national defense. In this paper, the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process is used to take The Xuyong-Bijie Railway as an example to establish an evaluation system and calculate the evaluation grades of each index. The application of this method in the optimization of railway scheme can provide reference for actual route decision, and also verify the applicability and superiority of fuzzy analytic hierarchy process in railway line selection.

The basic concept in axiomatic design (AD) is the existence of design axioms. First of these axioms is the independence axiom and the second one is the information axiom. Information axiom proposes the selection of the best alternative that has minimum information. Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is another multi-attribute method which is a decision-making method for selecting the best among a set of alternatives, given some criteria. The method has been extensively applied, especially in large-scale problems where many criteria must be considered and where the evaluation of alternatives is mostly subjective. Multi-attribute transportation company selection is a very important activity for effective supply chain. Selection of the best company under determined criteria (such as cost, time, damage/loss, flexibility and documentation ability) using both multi-attribute AD and AHP will be realized in this study. The fuzzy multiattribute AD approach is also developed and it is compared by one of fuzzy AHP methods in the literature. The selection process has been accomplished by aiding a software that includes crisp AD and fuzzy AD.
Optimization of Supplier Selection Using Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process - State of Art Study
In recent years supplier selection and order allocation as an important part of supply chain management are facing challenges and difficulties. Our project objective is select suitable supplier in optimal way to reduce difficulties in Supplier selection process. Our Proposed FAHP (Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process) method is capable of optimizing the supplier selection by assigning weights of supplier in terms of both qualitative and quantitative criteria and identified optimal supplier.

Every organization needs suppliers and no organization can exist without suppliers. Therefore, the organizations approach to suppliers and the selection of the appropriate supplier, its acquisition processes and policies, and its relationships with suppliers, is of vital importance, both to organizations and suppliers alike. Environmental planning and management can have positive effects on development of some land uses including industrial areas that have a major effect on economic, social and environmental conditions. Considering the most important problems associated with modeling, the fundamental methods and functions of site-selection laid inside the geographical information system are not accounted for the multipurpose experimental programs. The main purpose of this study is to present a systematic pattern for environmental management using genetic algorithm and fuzzy analytic hierarchy process in geographical information system in order to reduce uncertainty. Through fuzzy analytic hierarchy process, the weight of criteria was calculated after extracting the criteria by Delphi technique and identifying all the effective criteria and factors involved in site selection. After preparation of intended layers, each map was prepared in the form of raster layers on geographical information system. Information layers were combined after being valued and finally the map of suitable areas was prepared. Finally, the conformity of all the obtained maps was checked out with field conditions. In this study, the genetic algorithm was used as an optimization method applied for natural selection. It was also attempted to find better solutions among others. The results showed the best site for developing industries.
Comparative Analysis between Fuzzy and Traditional Analytical Hierarchy Process

Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is one of the techniques commonly used for prioritizing different alternatives, by using complex criteria. In real applications, conventional AHP assumes the expert judgment as it is exact and use crisp number leading to inconsideration of the uncertainty that came from linguistic variable. Fuzzy logic deals with situations which are vague or unwell defined and gives a quantify value. In this study a comparison is made between traditional AHP and fuzzy AHP by taking a case of selecting an effective oil refinery. The selection is conducted using system effectiveness as a criterion. The two approaches have been compared on the same hierarchy structure and criteria set and the result show that in both case dual drum scheme (DDS) has the highest priority but different value that is 0.51and 0.36 for AHP and FAHP respectively which shows that if the expert opinion is certain AHP should be used if not FAHP should be preferred This is an Open Access article distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License 2.0, which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.
Multiattribute Supplier Selection Using Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process

Supplier selection is a multiattribute decision making (MADM) problem which contains both qualitative and quantitative factors. Supplier selection has vital importance for most companies. The aim of this paper is to provide an AHP based analytical tool for decision support enabling an effective multicriteria supplier selection process in an air conditioner seller firm under fuzziness. In this article, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) under fuzziness is employed for its permissiveness to use an evaluation scale including linguistic expressions, crisp numerical values, fuzzy numbers and range numerical values. This scale provides a more flexible evaluation compared with the other fuzzy AHP methods. In this study, the modified AHP was used in supplier selection in an air conditioner firm. Three experts evaluated the suppliers according to the proposed model and the most appropriate supplier was selected. The proposed model enables decision makers select the best supplier among supplier firms effectively. We confirm that the modified fuzzy AHP is appropriate for group decision making in supplier selection problems.
Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process: A performance analysis of various algorithms

Analytical Hierarchical Process (AHP) along with fuzzy set theory has been used extensively in the Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) process in which fuzzy numbers are utilized to represent human judgments more realistically. Over the past couple of decades, numerous articles have been published proposing algorithms through which priority vector (or weight vector) can be calculated from fuzzy comparison matrices. The aim of this study is to conduct a comprehensive performance analysis of the most popular algorithms proposed in this domain in terms of accuracy of weights calculated from fuzzy comparison matrices. Such an analysis is much needed by the researchers and practitioners. However none is available. An experimental analysis is conducted and the performance of various algorithms are evaluated with varying three parameters i.e., the size of the comparison matrix, the level of fuzziness and the level of inconsistency. We found that modified Logarithmic Least Squares Method and Fuzzy Inverse of Column Sum Method (FICSM) generally outperformed other algorithms, while Fuzzy Extent Analysis (FEA) which is the most frequently used algorithm in the literature provides the least accurate results. Furthermore, it was observed that a modified version of FEA method significantly improved its performance.

The optimal design of roads in mines is very crucial to the success of the mining operation. However, the transportation roads of mines are often inadequately designed and rarely properly maintained in order to save cost. In order to acquire the optimum track of road for the open pit coal mine, analysis of the topography factor, land usage, environment, and geology are needed on the basic engineering design phase. Considering the amount of overlapping and influencing criteria, the method of Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (Fuzzy AHP) is used. FAHP is the combination of AHP with the mathematical method of fuzzy. The difference between FAHP and AHP is the implementation of the level of importance in the paired comparison of the comparison matrices, which uses Triangular Fuzzy Numbers (TFN). Following the geometric planning of the open pit coal mine haul road, several track alternatives are considered. Fuzzy AHP was used to select the final alternative that should be implemented. The criteria for the fuzzy AHP operation were acquired through expert opinions. The resulting criteria and scores were processed, with the final result of a feasibility ranking of each track alternative. Fuzzy AHP were proven to be very effective to be used in determining the optimum haul road track alternative for an open pit coal mine.
Selecting Madiun–Dolopo Trace Route with the Fuzzy Ahp (Analytic Hierarchy Process) Method

Introduction: The National Railway Master Plan (RIPNAS), dated 2018, mentions that the railway network size and railway service capacity for using trains as the main means of transportation can be increased by reactivating non-operational routes and improving the condition of the existing routes. Methods: In our study, we propose the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (Fuzzy AHP) method to determine the best option for the reactivated Madiun–Dopolo trace route in East Java, Indonesia. The data obtained were derived from questionnaires filled in by experts in the field. The model used six main criteria: land use, technical aspects, transportation node integration, social insecurity, disaster factors, and funding. Result and Discussion: The analysis reveals that the predominant route selection criterion chosen by the respondents was the Land Use (with a score of 0.25).
