The objective of the present study was to determine and to provide the optimum resource usage, the factors that effecting the profitability, productivity and distributation of economic factors which where used in production process in the lamb fattening enterprises with peljorming econometric analysis in Karammı province. The data used in the study were surveyed from 41 lamb fattening enterprises which were sampled using randomly layer sampling method in years 1993, 1994 and 1995. In the evaluation of the enterprise results and in the profitahility and productivity analysi.\', profitability ratios and Cohh-Douglas Production Function were used. The enterprises were analysed at the province level as well as size-classijied group levels. The enetrprises were groupped in accordance to their sizes namely small-sized (100 lamhs or less). mid-sized (101-200 lambs) and hig-sized (201 and over lambs). According to the results of The Cobb-Douglas Production Function, decreasing returns to scale in the mid-sized and small-sized enterprises, inereasing retunıs to scale in big-sized enterprises were detennined. The marginal product values of lamb fattening production in the area where as following. Fattening material 1,38 TL; feed 2,04 TL; labor 1,45 TL; veterinary services and drug-vaccine 2,12 TL; maintenance-depriciation costs 3,08 TL and other costs 4, 13 TL were calculated. Average productivity indexes were estimated on using real and predicted production values at the province level. The index values which based on province average were fOlmd for smail, mid and big-sized enterprises 104, ıo; 98,19 and 97,83 respectively.
