The effects of violence against women in the family and its psychological implications

Violence against women is a serious threat to health and human rights. Violence against women is recognized as a major problem because of the key implications for reproductive health, the physical and mental health of women. Violence against women is a phenomenon in which a woman is subjected to violence by another for the sake of her gender. If this type of behavior is within the framework of the family and between husbands and husbands, it is interpreted as domestic violence. Negative social consequences, such as increasing the cost of healthcare due to the woman's exposure to physical and psychological illnesses caused by violence, reducing the productivity and labor force of women, are another consequence of this social and health culture. In Iran, as in other countries, violence against women is an important social problem. In this research, the types of husbands' violence against women and the effect of different factors on their incidence in women are investigated so that the information can be used to create culture for strengthening the status and human values of women, promotion of women's social status, promotion of health And reproductive rights in the community, informing men about the different dimensions of violence and its negative effects on the current and future status of the family, the use of the provision of health and education for understanding and reducing violence in the family and eventually expanding the culture and facilities of family counseling Take.

A Survey Regarding of Domestic Violence Againts Women

Violence has been turned to be an oftenly applied type of attitude. The violence which is complicated issue, has been continued to be an irrepressible and secret dangerous that effects most of our lives and physical and emotional health negatively. It is being an another discussion issue that we accept violence as an inevitable end as the violence is a widespread issue. The type of family violence is the most seen violence type. Many researches in the world show that woman are subjected to violence. In this respect, it is requested to undermine the thoughts that violence against woman is irrepressible. It is requested to have some preventive measures with psychological help to prevent violence against woman.

THE PSYCHOLOGICAL VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN

Violence against women is a basic abuse of human rights. Much study has been done and articles have been written about prevalence of Violence against Women as a form of gender based violence. It is often described as an increasingly phenomenon worldwide with enormous impact on the life of victims, their families and society. Overwhelmingly, women rather than men are the major victims of violence and that is why the researchers speak specifically about the psychological impact of violence against women. In this study the researcher will discuss the psychological impact of Violence against Women in their lives. Setting limits to this abuse of human rights is not only a political act and statement. Understanding the psychological impact is of big importance in finding effective ways for support victims and societies. Knowing how to recognize signals and hidden suffering are essential for a multidisciplinary intervention in reducing and ultimately eradicating its incidence.

WOMEN & DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: AN ANALYSES

Present article deals with domestic violence against women ceasing which is still prevalent in the society. Recent research in this field shows that causes are family members, type of marriage, husband's education, wife's education, socioeconomic status, male dominant views and so on. Women who are facing domestic violence are still reluctant to take any action against this act. Few females are so aware to take any action against their family members committing violence against them.

Relationship between domestic physical and psychological violence and

Violence on women is major problem of this world. In Pakistan, as the statistics show, More than 90% of the women are the victims of this curse. When we talk about violence, the first thing that comes into our minds is physically violence. Violence on women does not only refer to physical violence but also many other forms. Emotional abuse is a serious form and it can rum a women life completely. Unfortunately it is not considered as a form violence, in our society. The focus of this study was on the women victims of emotional abuse and the consequences of emotional abuse on them. A sample of 10 women victims was taken through convenience sampling from the psychiatric wards of two different hospitals of Lahore .A semi structured interview schedule was prepared to interview the cases/relatives or doctors. The sample included all married, unmarried, widow and divorced Women. Findings the reveal that emotional abuse prevails in all three classes of our society. It may include abusive language, isolation abandonment, rejection, neglect devoid of love and care etc. The Culprits of emotional abuse are mostly one’s own family members. Women are abuse regardless of their age and status. They go through minor depression while they are abused but when the level of tolerance is breached, they have serious mental illness. There is not hard and fast rule for what kind of mental disorder a women may have. It totally depends on the situation and mental health of the women Victim. According to this research mood disorders are seen more in the victim of emotional abuse.

Mechanisms and dynamic of domestic violence

The most common synonyms for term family are: love, support, understanding, warmness, etc. The family should present the place of the most protected living where each its member gets everything what he/she needs for undisturbed psychological and physical growth. However, sometimes it isn't like that and the family present the place of violence, harassment and neglecting. Unfortunately, domestic violence is as old as the human being. Special mechanisms and tactics of harassment are built through history. They succeeded to make the domestic violence hidden and away from detailed socio-psyhological researches and practical interventions for so long. The aim of this work is to inspire experts' attention to more often phenomenon of domestic violence, and the need for more detailed analysis of mechanisms which determine appearance and maintenance of violence, and all this with intention to find out the most adequate solution in prevention of this social problem. Domestic violence is an offence and is one of the major causes for increase of crime index of the state. Domestic violence is destructive behavior in an intimate relationship where one person tries to dominate and control other in a dating or marital relationship or in cohabitation, which causes physical, psychological or sexual harm to those in that relationship. In this paper the author tries to explain the root causes of domestic violence which includes certain rick factors such as individual, relationship, community, societal, legal and political factors. These factors are responsible for domestic violence and it’s consequences on the victim’s psychological as well as physical health in day to day life. The paper also highlights the difference forms of domestic violence such as physical, psychological, emotional, sexual, verbal or economic.
