AncesTrees: ancestry estimation with randomized decision trees (original) (raw)

AncesTrees is introduced as a novel ancestry estimation tool leveraging randomized decision trees to improve the accuracy and reliability of forensic anthropology analyses. By utilizing craniometric measurements and employing a random forest algorithm, the tool provides effective ancestry predictions while addressing previous limitations in interpretability associated with ensemble methods. Findings indicate that AncesTrees can achieve up to 97% predictive accuracy and emphasizes the potential utility of combining multiple methodological approaches in ancestry estimation.
