This research investigates the use of wireless mobile devices (WMDs) in enhancing face-to-face learning through collaborative and reflective e-learning tools, including social software and Web 2.0 technologies. By integrating mobile technology into various tertiary education courses, the study highlights the transition from traditional pedagogies to social constructivist approaches, fostering real-world learning experiences. Four trials across different courses demonstrate the impact of mobile tools on collaborative learning, portfolio development, and community engagement throughout the educational process.
