Performance of WiMAX packet schedulers for multi-class traffic (original) (raw)

This paper investigates the performance of several packet scheduling algorithms in a WiMAX point-to-multipoint (PMP) network, specifically focusing on Modified Deficit Round Robin (MDRR) and Weighted Round Robin (WRR) in a multi-class traffic environment. The study aims to analyze the effects of these scheduling algorithms on key service flow parameters and develop advanced packet scheduling techniques to optimize network capacity and minimize channel wastage, with applications including Voice over IP (VoIP) and FTP.
