IRJET- Fingerprint Based Voting System

IRJET, 2020

In this Fingerprint Based Voting System Project we are implementing IOT based voting machine. Finger print devices are used in the Electronic Voting machine for voter verification. We have designed a finger print based voting machine where there is no need for the user to carry his ID which contains his required details. The person at the polling booth needs only to place his Finger on the device, thus allowing the attainment of an on-spot fingerprint from the voter which serves as an identification. This Finger print reader reads the details from the tag. This data is passed onto the controlling unit for the verification. The controller fetches the data from the reader and compares this data with the already existing data stored during the registration of the voters. If the data matches with the pre-stored information of the registered fingerprint, the person is allowed to cast his vote. If not, a warning message is displayed on PC or Machine and the person is barred from polling his vote. Messages, warning and results are displayed on machine or PC. At perticular time election is close then immediately result is displayed on machine.

IRJET- SMART VOTING SYSTEM WITH FINGER PRINT VERIFICATION USING AADHAAR CARD DATABASE

IRJET, 2021

An Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) is an electronic device that is used for casting votes in an electoral process. The Electronic Voting Machine was first introduced in 1982 in the Kerala elections. The main source of power supply for Electronic Voting Machine is battery and does not require current supply. The maximum number of votes that can be recorded in the EVM is 2000 votes. If the Electronic Voting Machine stops working it is replaced by a new a EVM and the votes recorded in the previous EVM is safely stored in the control unit. Presently, India is transforming into digital trends by adopting various technologies which make our lives easier. One of them is having an unique identity card which holds people's biometric details. This makes verification easier in most of the cases. One which provides security with all mandatory information is Aadhaar card, which is a twelve digit number for identification provided for all residents in India. Aadhaar card provides verification of demographic information in a cost effective way by online and this will be a great technique to identify fake votes, since every individual's biometric data is with the government the existing feature (EVM) is not capable of working with aadhaar card database online. Hence, we are going for Smart Voting Machine (SVM) which is capable of working with some features like IoT, cloud storage, location free work stations etc.

IRJET- Smart Voting Machine using Fingerprint Recognition

IRJET, 2020

In Democratic countries like India, the voting system plays a major role during elections. The conventional voting method both in state and general elections is done by basic electronic machine. There may be possibility that instead of one eligible person, someone can vote for the person who is eligible to vote. For avoiding misconceptions during elections, we propose the concept of getting the fingerprint impression of a voter which is entered as input to the system. Raspberry pi was used as microcontroller to detect the valid voter which has been entered into the system. The result will be declared instantaneously and counting will via IOT.

IRJET- SMART E-VOTING SYSTEM WITH FINGERPRINT AUTHENTICATION USING ARDUINO

IRJET, 2020

In Democratic countries like India, the voting system down a major role during elections. Traditionally, the election commission in India uses electronic voting machines which need more manpower, time-consuming and also they are less accurate. For avoiding misconceptions during elections, there are a lot of advanced techniques are being proposed using various methods. But in the field of biometric identification, we can get better results and it is also trustworthy. In this paper, we provide the various works which are being proposed based on the voting system which uses biometric identification as a major concept. The fingerprint module was already stored in the government database. Hence this project provides the best solution to avoid false voting. The electronic voting machine was connected with the computer. The computer is having the full database list of the peoples who are having the eligibility to vote. For each polling, the corresponding person identity was deleted. So it avoids false voting. A touch screen is used, so it is user-friendly.

IRJET- DEVELOPMENT OF ELECTRONIC VOTING MACHINE WITH INCLUSION OF NEAR FIELD COMMUNICATION AND BIOMETRIC FINGERPRINT IDENTIFIER

IRJET, 2021

Voting is one of the fundamental rights of every citizen of a democratic country. By utilizing the right of the voting, people elect their most suitable leader who will lead them. In this modern era where technology is being used in every aspect of life, election is a place to apply the best technology. In this project, we have developed a system which will be suitable for elections in countries like Bangladesh. The usual system for voting in India is a ballot paper-based voting system, where voting is sometimes unfair. In this proposed system we have used an Arduino and Fingerprint Scanner that can identify each voter, count votes and can prevent fake votes. The proposed system is more digital, technology-based and secured system.

IRJET-SMART VOTING SYSTEM TO PREVENT MALPRACTICE USING FINGER PRINT TECHNOLOGY

IRJET, 2020

India is the largest democratic country in the world. The people choose their political leaders and government representatives. The primary objective of voting is to allow voters to exercise their right to express their choices with respect to citizen initiatives, political and other government representatives. The voting is a very huge and tedious task for highly populated countries like India. In the recent years, rigging and other malpractices are being carried out during elections which may lead to contrary results. To avoid problems mentioned above, this paper brings out the idea of biometric voting system that uses finger print sensor system thereby avoiding fake and repeated voting by an individual. The control unit is interfaced with finger print sensor and scanner which will automatically release an empty vote to the balloting unit when the voter is legitimate. Thus the proposed system will be portable, easily adaptable and cost-effective with minimum power consumption and minimizes the time taken to identify legitimate voter.

Finger print enabled electronic voting machine unit

Int. Journal of Applied Sciences and Engineering Research, Vol. 5, Issue 5, 2016

This research titled 'finger print enabled electronic voting machine unit' is a microcontroller based system interfaced to a computer running Assembly language. The main objective of this research among others is to design and construct a finger print enabled electronic voting machine, which counts the number of votes casted for each party and also will be able to: Prevent the situation whereby a person votes more than once, compute the vote result immediately after each vote, completely rules out the chance of invalid votes, reduction of polling time and ensures easy and accurate counting without any mischief at the counting centre. Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) consists mainly of two units-(a) Control Unit (CU) and (b) Ballot Unit (BU) with cable for connecting it with Control Unit. Both the units consist of one microcontroller (8052) each. The CU consists of one LCD, one hex keypad and a couple of switches, while BU consists of a candidate panel; a vote cast panel and a buzzer, etc. It aims at obtaining a highly efficient voting machine with a very high degree of accuracy and security.

IRJET- "BIOMETRIC SYSTEM BASED ELECTRONIC VOTING MACHINE USING RASPBEERY PI"

IRJET, 2020

The main idea behind the work is to reduce the defrauding of manual voting system which includes many steps for verification to ensure the reliability of the device. In recent times the vote casting process became held with the manually running machines or even through message where as digital balloting device is a individual and unique concept which saves a time and avoids the fake balloting through a false person on the machines the voter need to apply his finger pattern to ballot to attest vote. "Vote from Anywhere" this scheme of advanced technologies enables everyone to take their right to vote. Details with respect to the number of citizens presented in the balloting set are saved in a list. The idea behind this scheme has an identical privilege of voter rejection. The EVM is based on the fingerprint and facial recognition has been researched the longest period and shows the most promising future in real world application. Because of their uniqueness and consistency over time, fingerprint and facial recognition have been used for identification over time by using this feature voting system can be made more secured. EVM is faster, efficient, reliable and error free, also easy to operate which reduces the chances of errors. Decisions are shown in few seconds just by pressing a result button after the e-voting has been conducted.
