Reflection of the Language in the Historical Documents on Kazakhs Living in China

Connectivities and Common Legacies in Central Asia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran and Turkey, 2022

Zhamila Mamyrkhanova looks at the linguistic patterns in the language of the Kazakhs living in China. Using the historical-comparative method, analysis of speech definitions, component, and semantic analysis, she argues that the language of Kazakhs from China is characterized by a variety of local features, which result from the differences in living conditions, life, customs and traditions, people's consciousness.

On Sino-Turkic, a First Glance

When Turkic-speaking Tabghatch conquered China in 386 ce and ruled her for nearly 200 years, they, being minority rulers, elected to take up Chinese writing system and language as the official means of communication with its subject population. They also ended up adopting the writing system to script the Turkic language for their Turkic population resulting into a Xianbei National Language (xnl). This work describes 7 cases of Turkic-rooted Sinitic functional expressions, all featuring the word 的 [d-], supported with historical citations in Chinese documents, believed to be cultural continua of the xnl:

Introduction. In June 1983, Chinese scholar He Xingliang discovered five documents from the Qing Dynasty in the archives of the Altai Prefectural Committee in Xinjiang. The original is now in the Archives Bureau of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. According to the clues provided by the document, He Xingliang visited Meyirbek, the grandson of Yüzmuhamed (Duzbembet). According to Meyirbek, the document was handed down by his grandfather Yüzmuhamed (Duzbembet). Objectives and purpose. This study Analyze Multilingual Documents. Exploring the administrative and governance practices of the Qing Dynasty in these frontier regions, this study will provide insights into the interactions between the Qing administration and the Qazaq tribal chief. This article explores the language issues of the Kazakh documents. For easy reference, We will refer to these three documents as Doc. 1, Doc. 2 and Doc. 3 below. We will first provide the romanization, translation, and commentary of Doc. 1, Doc.2, and Doc. 3, which is the main subject of this paper. Materials and methods. Official records, correspondence, and decrees related to the administration of the Sino-Russian Khobdo-Tarbaghatay border during the Qing Dynasty. Analysis of written documents according to time. Accurately transcribe the text of the documents in their original languages. Result. The results of this study provide a comprehensive understanding of the historical and cultural significance of the documents discovered by He Xingliang. The study involved the transcription and translation of all documents from Qazaq, Chinese, and Manchu into English, highlighting the differences and similarities in the usage of specific place names across these languages.

The State of Turkological Science in China: Turkic Language and Turkic Writing Research

This article is devoted to the state of Turkic science in China, the study of the Turkic language and the Turkic script. The article highlights the major works of famous medieval research centers in China, which were engaged in the study of the Turkic science. Primary objective of the article is the study of contemporary Turkologists of China. Consequently, this article has an undeniable novelty, since the influence of such an empire as China with a long history on the Turkic civilization is well-known facts, but the influence of the Turkic civilization on the Chinese is really little studied aspect in science.
