IRJET- E-BANKING SECURITY AND AUTHENTICATION USING MULTILEVEL QR
IRJET, 2021
People can do almost everything online (banking, shopping, storing and sharing personal information). To access these services in the most secured manner is very critical. Many authentication methods are available such as username and password, barcode, finger print and face detection. But these methods have some advantages as well as disadvantages. User-name and password are not providing security; fingerprints and face identity are the methods which are very costly and not affordable by common users. To overcome all the drawbacks the QR code is introduced. QR code has many applications.QR codes are used in banking transactions for security; it provides more security than barcode. The QR code stores complex password. QR code can be scanned using smart phones. When a user opts for online banking transaction he opens the bank website. On the same page, QR code is displayed after registration, user can scan the QR code image with a scanner. A string is generated after scanning. For authenticating user, Account number and ifsc code is used. The multilevel security is used in this application; therefore this system is very secured method for online transaction than existing system.

E AUTHENICATION SYSTEM USING QR CODE AND OTP
IRJET, 2022
Inside the proposed plan, the client can without such an inconceivable system a stretch and essentially login into the methodology. We look at the interest and solace of the proposed plan and uncover the check of the proposed plan to the hacking of login limits, shoulder surveying and accidental login. The shoulder riding attack may moreover be performed by the adversary to add up to the buyer's unprecedented explanation by truly zeroing in on the client's shoulder as he enters his mystery key. Since we have made a safeguarded system plans with a ton of levels of safety from shoulder watching out for were proposed. Quick Response (QR) codes can set this. QR Code is the brand name for the two-layered standardized conspicuous truly explore structure. The incredibly isolating square is on everything from upgrades to stock. In "e-Authentication utilizing QR Code" we are giving secure login by the QR code and email confirmations. It very well may be executes the best security for clients login. As a fast web structure is being made and people are informationized, even the cash related tries are busy with web field. In PC sorting out, hacking is a particular work to control the normal lead of framework affiliations and related structures. The predictable web banking structure had a lot of contribution in the bet of hacking and its outcome which couldn't be pardoned. Of late, the single information has been spilled by a serious level framework, for instance, Phishing or Pharming past getting a client's ID and Password. Therefore, a remained mindful of client support structure gets totally more key and major. At this moment, propose another Online Banking Authentication structure. This deals structure used Mobile OTP with the blend of QR-code which is a method of the 2D normalized clear check.
Online banking authentication system using mobile-OTP with QR-code
5th International Conference on Computer Sciences and Convergence Information Technology, 2010
As a high-speed internet infrastructure is being developed and people are informationized, the financial tasks are also engaged in internet field. However, the existing internet banking system was exposed to the danger of hacking. Recently, the personal information has been leaked by a high-degree method such as Phishing or Pharming beyond snatching a user's ID and Password. Seeing that most of examples which happened in the domestic financial agencies were caused by the appropriation of ID or Password belonging to others, a safe user confirmation system gets much more essential. In this paper, we propose a new Online Banking Authentication system. This authentication system used Mobile OTP with the combination of QR-code which is a variant of the 2D barcode.

https://www.ijert.org/qr-based-advanced-authentication-for-online-transactions https://www.ijert.org/research/qr-based-advanced-authentication-for-online-transactions-IJERTV3IS20624.pdf The QR code is Quick Response code. QR code authentication system is an open source and proof-of-concept authentication system. it use two-factor authentication technique. It combines a onetime password and QR code scanning by using camera-equipped mobile phone. QR is extremely secure for storing all the sensitive information and transmitted it as in encrypted form; still it is very easy to use and cost efficient technique. The system uses QR codes which are small two-dimensional code. It encode digital data. This system can be used for all hardware platforms that are for tablets, personal computers, laptops, camera equipped cell phones. The System will automatically generate User ID and Transaction ID for identification of user by scanning. We can read QR code even if it is partially damage. It provides high level of security and authentication with untrusted devices. Due to these features of QR code the system can be used for various critical transactions like Banking Transaction by using handy devices like Mobile phones and Tablets.
QR Code based secure OTP distribution scheme for Authentication in Net-Banking
Authentication is the process of verifying the identity of a user. One time passwords (OTP) play a vital role for authentication in net-banking to make it more secure. OTP are used to provide higher layer of security over static passwords that are prone to replay attacks. Distribution of OTPs to concerned user is a major issue. Short message service that is available for mobile phones is the most common methodology for OTP distribution. Quick Response code (QR code) is actually two dimensional bar codes and can store information in both length and breath. QR codes are widely being used to convey short information such as website address, mobile numbers etc. In this paper we are presenting a new authentication scheme for secure OTP distribution in net banking through QR codes and email.
The Combining Method of Fingerprint and QR Code as Mutual Authentication for Mobile Payment
International Journal of Control and Automation, 2017
The existing payment system using a debit/ credit card is not safe. The cards are easy to lose, and sometimes people forget to bring card while doing a transaction. Nowadays, payment system has shifted to the digital world. Most people never leave their mobile phones. This situation shows that there is significant opportunity to use mobile devices as mobile commerce applications, especially for paying through the use of credit cards. Unfortunately, the mobile device is still not secure and enable the variety of security risks. In this paper, we propose the protecting method of Fingerprint and QR Code as mutual authentication for the mobile payment system. QR Code and Fingerprint are combined to make mobile payment system more secure than ever. Because each of our fingers has their unique pattern, we can bring an additional layer of protection for authentication by making a sequence of which finger should be read first, second, and so on. The adoption of QR Code ensures the legibility, integrity, and confidentiality of the transmitted information, and lays a good foundation for the overall security of the system.
Authentication and Transaction Verification Using QR Codes with a Mobile Device
Lecture Notes in Computer Science, 2016
User authentication and the verification of online transactions that are performed on an untrusted computer or device is an important and challenging problem. This paper presents an approach to authentication and transaction verification using a trusted mobile device, equipped with a camera, in conjunction with QR codes. The mobile device does not require an active connection (e.g., Internet or cellular network), as the required information is obtained by the mobile device through its camera, i.e. solely via the visual channel. The proposed approach consists of an initial user authentication phase, which is followed by a transaction verification phase. The transaction verification phase provides a mechanism whereby important transactions have to be verified by both the user and the server. We describe the adversarial model to capture the possible attacks to the system. In addition, this paper analyzes the security of the propose scheme, and discusses the practical issues and mechanisms by which the scheme is able to circumvent a variety of security threats including password stealing, man-inthe-middle and man-in-the-browser attacks. We note that our technique is applicable to many practical applications ranging from standard user authentication implementations to protecting online banking transactions.
SECURITY ANALYSIS OF MOBILE AUTHENTICATION USING QR-CODES
The QR-Code authentication system using mobile application is easily implemented in a mobile device with high recognition rate without short distance wireless communication support such as NFC. This system has been widely used for physical authentication system does not require a strong level of security. The system also can be implemented at a low cost. However, the system has a vulnerability of tampering or counterfeiting, because of the nature of the mobile application that should be installed on the user’s smart device. In this paper we analyze the vulnerabilities about each type of architectures of the system and discuss the concerns about the implementation aspect to reduce these vulnerabilities.
