Mechanical properties of graphene and boronitrene (original) (raw)
This study investigates the mechanical properties of graphene and boronitrene through the lens of a two-dimensional equation of state (EOS) framework. Key parameters such as the layer modulus and intrinsic strength of various monolayer and multilayer configurations are extracted and analyzed, revealing significant insights into 2D materials' elastic characteristics. The findings underscore the potential for phase transitions in graphene allotropes and lay the groundwork for future research in nanoscale material behavior.
