At-Thoyyib Shop Inventory Management System

At-Thoyyib Inventory Management System is developed as an online system to facilitate inventory management that includes the entry and exit of goods in storage. The main purpose of this system development is to assist a inventory management for At-Thoyyib Shop that will be managed systematically and efficiently. From observations and interviews that have been made, the problem that has identified is, the system used in the At-Thoyyib Shop is managed manually. For example, if the inventory data were recorded using book, there are a few disadvantages that were, books is perishable, and a person can also make errors in recording the data in the book. The objective of this system is to develop a report module for data in and out of inventory and also to facilitate access of the information goods. The methodology that has been used in this developing system is waterfall model. The advantages of waterfall model are that it is easy to explain to users. Structural approach for this model of the activities of each stage and well defined. In addition, it also helps to plan and schedule a project. In conclusion, the inventory management system is developed to expedite the process of recording inventory information and improve the efficiency and accuracy to generate reports required by management.

And detailed financial information can be obtained through the final process of Accounting. In general, financial reports are used by large and small-scale companies to find out the development and continuity of the company's business going forward. Financial statements are the final result of the process of recording, merging, summarizing all transactions carried out by the company with all parties related to its business activities as well as important events that occur within the company. Inventory is one of the most important components of Profit and Loss (trading) account as well as current asset of Balance Sheet. Handling inventory can define the success and failure of the enterprises. Inventory is two ways sword excess piled inventory block the financial blood of the organization and raise the carrying cost of the inventory whereas minimal stock may hamper the production process due to paucity of raw material and it may force to procure costly raw material in case of crisis. Therefore, it is very important to have effective inventory accounting system and optimum level of inventory. Computerized Inventory Control System is designed to meet the needs of Inventory management level which is to produce a system that will be able to eradicate the problem of manual operations and activities in Inventory, and to improve the service through the use of computer. The new system was coded in Visual Basic 2008 programming language operational tool that were executed using Object Oriented Analysis and Design Methodology (OOADM) were the operational tools were applied. Computer in inventory improves the services of keeping record of sales rather than manual operation, as in the daily record of financial information which is helpful in maintaining desired inventory level. It also helps the ICT body of knowledge to know the best expert system for the assessment and keeping of up-to-date record of stocks. The system when tested was confirmed to perform creditably.

This paper describes the Inventory Management System sufficiently to determine the feasibility and usability of a finished system. The core concept is to track the sale of items from the cash registers with additional features for interpreting the data. It uses a client-server model with a connected database to allow multiple stores and warehouses to be connected. This allows for later expansion while still supporting the targeted small businesses. The core features and final framework should be completed within 2 weeks, leaving 5 weeks to implement additional features and testing.

Inventory Management is one of the basic problems in almost every company. Before computer age and integration, paper tables and paperwork solutions were being used as inventory management tools. These we very far from being a solution, took so much time, even needed employees just for this section of organization. There was no an efficient solution available in the many companies during these days. Every process was based on paperwork, human fault rate was high, the process and the tracing the inventory losses were not possible, and there was no efficient logging systems. After the computer age, every process is started to be integrated into electronic environment. And now we have qualified technology to implement new solutions to these problems. Software based systems bring the advantages of having the most efficient control with less effort and employees. These developments provide new solutions for also inventory management systems in this context. In this paper, a new solution for Inventory Management System (IMS) is designed and implemented. Most importantly, this system is designed for Kadir Has University and used as Inventory Management System.
Design and Implementation of Inventory Information System in Putra Mariyo Trading Business

Technological advancement in information technology applications allows the data recording process to become easier. Putra Mariyo Trading Business is a business institution that sells wood as a building material in various types and sizes. Data processing of incoming and outgoing goods in this business is performed only by writing goods data into a specific book. Consequently, some problems such as the loss of data and miss calculation in processing transactions usually occur. Therefore, in this research, we design a system to address the problems. The system is developed by following the Waterfall software development method. To build the system, we opt to use PHP programming language, CodeIgniter framework, and MySQL as the database server. To determine system reliability, this information system testing uses black box testing which focuses on the functional requirements of the system. To evaluate the performance of the system two testing steps i.e., black-box testing and System Usability Scales (SUS) are adopted. Black-box testing results show that the error percentage of our system is 0%. The SUS testing is conducted to obtain responses from users and the SUS score obtained is 70.1 indicating that the system is at the "good" level and reliable to use.
