Attitude on intention to use e-government in Indonesia

The application of information and communication technologies in Indonesia continues to be developed as the government becomes more serious in improving services to its citizen. However, there are still some obstacles to using the service. The purpose of this paper to present a framework improving e-government services to its citizen. The paper opted for using a comprehensive review of the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT). This paper offers ideas to see intention to the community in using e-government, by using the modified UTAUT model where the main construct performance expectancy (PE), effort expectancy (EE), social influence (SI), facilitating conditions (FC) is an important factor. Moderators such as gender, age, experience and voluntariness of use were excluded and using attitude as a mediator. The findings showed that UTAUT's construct such as performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions is an important factor appropriate for seeing intention to citizen in using e-government and 9 hypotheses offered in the model are believed to get new findings in the future and increase the development of the UTAUT model and be able to provide concept ideas that are made in seeing the intentions of e-government users.

The Critical Factors Affecting e-Government Adoption in Indonesia: A Conceptual Framework

Electronic government (E-Government) is the use of information and communication technology by the government to increase the service to citizens. E-government also could be applied to the legislative and judicative to improve internal efficiency of democratic governance. However, technological, governing and social issues have to tread carefully in order to adopt these phenomena. This study aims to find critical factor that influences e-government adoption. Furthermore, comprehensive analysis base on the bibliometric technic on various resources has been chosen to guide this work. Several dependent variables such as information quality, trust, and system quality also considered relevant were integrated with the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) constructs as examining variables affecting the adoption of e-government. Finally, this study found a formulation of the conceptual framework on the basis of existing experience and their relationship.

Analysis of Citizens Acceptance for E-government Services: Applying the UTAUT Model

E-government services aims to provide citizens with more accessible, accurate, real-time and high quality services and information. Although the public sectors in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) have promoted their e-Government services for many years, its uses and achievements are few. Therefore, this paper explores the key factors of Saudi citizens' acceptance through a research survey and by gathering empirical evidence based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and the Use of Technology (UTAUT). Survey Data collected from 400 respondents was examined using structural equation modelling (SEM) technique and utilized AMOS tools. The study results explored the factors that affect the acceptance of e-government services in KSA based on UTAUT model. Moreover, as a result of this study an amended UTAUT model was proposed. Such a model contributes to the discussion and development of adoption models for technology.

Adoption of e-government by Indonesian state universities: An application of Technology Acceptance Model

E-government is the use of internet platforms to deliver governmental services to citizens with the goal of improving government efficiency, transparency, and participation. This study aims to find out what factors determine the rate at which public university in Indonesians accept e-government services. This study uses the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). TAM is a traditional model of technology diffusion that is an essential conceptual criterion. It drives acceptance consisting of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. The results of this paper back up the original TAM hypothesis. Citizens' E-Government Services Adoption: An Extension of Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology Model

This study investigates the factors that influencing citizens' intention to use e-government services and its causal relationships using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology model (UTAUT). Data relating to the constructs were collected from 150 respondents but only 85 responses were received and subjected to Structural Equation Modeling analysis (SEM). The proposed model fits the data well. The findings reveal that facilitating condition, social influence, attitude, effort expectancy and performance expectancy determine citizens' intention towards e-government services. Additionally, attitude is predicted jointly by effort expectancy and performance expectancy. This study would help government policy decision makers to increase the adoption of e-government services in Tunisia country.

An investigation of the factors affecting citizens’ adoption of e-government in Indonesia

The citizen acceptance of e-government is widely researched in industrialized nations; however, only a few studies have looked at the adoption of e-government in developing nations, including Indonesia. This study aims to identify the elements influencing Indonesian citizens’ acceptance of electronic governance. The following models are suggested to achieve this purpose: the information system success model (ISSM) and the technology adoption model (TAM). The sample includes 735 respondents in Indonesia; the self-selection convenience sampling technique was used in this study. The findings indicated that perceived usefulness is positively impacted by system quality (β = 0.113; p < 0.05), information quality (β = 0.502; p < 0.05), and service quality (β = 0.285; p < 0.05). Individual Acceptance of e-Government Services in a Developing Country: Dimensions of Perceived Usefulness and Perceived Ease of Use and the Importance of Trust and Social Influence

Perceived Usefulness (PU) and Perceived Ease of Use (PEU) are two prominent factors suggested by many researches towards adoption of a technology. In case of online public services (e-government), are they still dominant factors for the adoption? This question is raised since e-government is a computer-based system that exists and used for social, voluntary, and daily life context which involves more adoption factors, such as social norms, facilitating conditions, and trust. This study investigated dimensions of PU and PEU of an e-government service, and measured the influence of PU, PEU, Social Norms, Facilitating Conditions, and Trust toward individual acceptance of a new egovernment service in a developing country. By collecting qualitative and quantitative data from 40 users of an online Immigration service in Indonesia, this study validated Trust and Social Influence as the most significant factor toward individual's decision to use a new e-government service. This finding recommends government initially to put attention on building people's trust and utilizing social influence in order to promote a new e-government service.

Examination of The Factors Effective in The use of the e-government system with the technology acceptance model

Abstract. In this study, it was aimed to determine the factors affecting user behaviors in adopting the e-government system with the theory of reasoned action and technology acceptance model used in the literature. In this regard, 5500 academic and administrative staff working at Ataturk and Gumushane universities were included in the study using the questionnaire. In consequence of the survey application, 463 questionnaires were analyzed. The Cronbach Alpha Coefficient method was used for the reliability, and the Confirmatory Factor Analysis was used for the validity of the research scales. After determining the reliability and validity of the scales, research hypotheses were tested by the Structural Equation Model.
