The Impact of Managerial Competencies on the Managerial Performance in the Educational System

The concept of competence in science education is in the midst of individual and collective performance. The complexity of the activity of running school has found a certain specific of its management that is materialized in two dimensions of the school activity: the variety of categories of staff and the interpersonal relationship, culture and work climate. All these result in the formation and development of a set of skills specific to the managerial field and necessary to the director of school in performing different roles sprung from this activity.

Management Competencies and Supervisory Practices of School Heads

This descriptive-correlational study aimed to assess and find out the relationship of management competencies and supervisory practices of non-principal school heads in public schools in Tarlac Province. The study found out that the domains of management competence in Planning, Organizing, Staffing, Leading, Controlling, Decision-making, and Motivation have significant relationship to their supervisory practices. Based on the findings of the study, the level of management competencies and supervisory practices among non-principal school heads in the public secondary schools in Tarlac Province is Proficient which makes them competent in managing and supervising the teachers. The limited trainings on new trends of management and supervisory practices and Lack of funds and resources to support the implementation of projects, programs, and activities, were Often found the most common problem encountered by the school heads. An action plan was proposed to help the non-principal school heads improve and enhance their teaching competence. It is recommended that the Department of Education may conduct different trainings to improve the management competencies and supervisory practices of the school heads. For future researchers, the results of the study could also be used as reference for parallel studies.

Development of managerial competencies of future teachers in universities of Kazakhstan and Lithuania

The article discusses the content of the concept of «managerial competence of future teachers». The authors substantiated the relevance and importace of developing managerial competencies in future teachers. Particular attention is paid to working with theoretical sources of information. In the same way, a detailed analysis of the training of future teacher-managers in the leading universities of Kazakhstan and Lithuania is presented. The study of the content of educational programs on management in education in Lithuania made it possible for the authors to identify the most valuable ideas of foreign experience. The article describes a set of means, methods of comparative pedagogy, which allowed the authors to conduct a study in accordance with the goal. Based on the theoretical studies, the features of the development of management programs in education were identified. The authors point out specific differences in the structure of the programs, and in the presentation of educational material. At the same time, based on a comparative characteristic, attention is focused on the fact that in the content of the educational program on management in education in our country, there is a certain similarity with the Lithuanian program. This similarity is manifested in the general approaches to the selection of content. Also, the authors of this article had the opportunity to conduct a method of comparison and synthesis, to consider the features of the formation of the managerial competence of future teachers and to study the key aspects of the development of managerial competence of teachers in the context of transformational processes in the education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Competency Level of Secondary School Administrators and Their Administrative Performance: Basis for a Training Program in School Management

This study sought to identify the competency level of secondary School Administrators and their administrative performance which a basis for a training program in school management. There were 10 districts included in this study under the Division of Bayawan City. The total number of respondents consisted of 26 school administrators and 260 teachers. The study was a combination of descriptive and correlational research. The statistical tools used were percentage, mean μ, weighted mean μ and Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient. The study revealed that majority of the school heads' performance evaluation coming from their Key Result areas (KRA) were very satisfactory. The study also found out that there is a significant relationship between the school administrators' competency level (in all areas) and their performance based on RPMS. The data also reflect that all the values of r are classified to be in the moderate category.

This study was conducted with the primary school administrators in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and the school administrators in Turkey; and it aimed to determine the views of school administrators regarding administrative processes. SCHOOL HEADS' COMPETENCIES AND SCHOOL PERFORMANCE

This study had been conducted to determine the school heads' competencies and school performance. It explored qualitatively, the school-based management challenges and coping strategies of the school heads. Specifically, it discoveredthe level of school heads' work competencies in terms of school leadership, instructional leadership, creating student-centered learning climate, human resource management and professional development, parent involvement and community partnership, school management and operations, personal and professional attributes and interpersonal effectiveness as well as the level of school performance in terms of leadership and governance, curriculum and learning, resource management and accountability and continuous improvement. The significant influence of school heads' competencies on school performance. The lived experiences of School heads in the implementation of school-based management. Complete enumeration of the school heads was used in the study and proportional allocation of samples of the teacher-respondents with a total of two hundred fiftythree (253) school heads and teachers-respondents of the study. Moreover, convergent design was utilized that covers both quantitative and qualitative research commonly called as mixed method. This involves integrating and combining qualitative and quantitative research process that was done by collecting both responses based on the research questions. In addition, school heads' competencies the findings revealed that all school heads' competencies have manifested very high competence. Whereas, on the level of school performance in terms of leadership and governance, curriculum and learning resource management and accountability and continuous improvement manifested good. Furthermore, school heads' competencies and school performance revealed as highly positive significant influence and relationship on leadership and governance, curriculum and learning, resource management, and accountability and continuous improvement.
