Internet in the Process of Education

International Journal of Pedagogy, Innovation and New Technologies, 2015

The role of the Internets a source of information is significant. It has become one of the most important media which has been confirmed by various users. Unfortunately information that occurs in web sites is poorly sorted, often badly classified or exists in many formats. Moreover, the process of searching for information on the Internet is constantly obstructed by a changeable structure of the Internet in terms of both quantity and contents. This article attempts to present the role of the Internet in the educational process.

THE USE OF DIGITAL MEDIA AND EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY IN LEARNING

Frezy Paputungan,, 2023

Digital content in the changing times in building a digital ecosystem is of course also supported by healthy internet behavior, these two things are important and cannot be separated. The internet has opened various information doors that contain various contents, both positive content and negative content. If we don't have provision in how to use it, the internet will become a scourge for its users. Therefore debriefing and creating positive content is important, providing continuous education to every user and content creator, so that they have good literacy in using digital technology, making the internet part of an effective and positive learning tool. Digital content will act like currency in a digital social education environment, various communications will be represented by playing or utilizing digital content. Of course, digital content delivery modes in the future will become easier, cheaper, faster and more varied as capacity (bandwidth) develops or increases, devices are more innovative, and it is also easy to get cloud-based applications and storage space. The expectations of the current generation will be different from previous generations, they will need the practice of sharing experiences through digital content including learning content, various digital communication media will become richer with knowledge sources and digital content. On the other hand, there are also many tools to support creative content creation in digital form and are adaptive to the needs of users and the needs of their media distribution. language boundaries, cultural boundaries, age limits and other boundaries.

The Role of Internet Technologies in Lecturing and Learning

Proceedings of the 1st International Scientific Conference - Sinteza 2014, 2014

Internet supported technologies are widely used for online lecturing and learning, especially for continual education purposes. Distance learning system, as one of internet supported platforms, offers numerous possibilities for creating different teaching and learning modes, based on crucial humane conditions: communication, interaction, and collaboration. The use and application of collected knowledge has become extremely important, since the speed of creating and delivering of information increased. Under such uncontrollable, external business conditions, professors could not be the one and only medium for transfer of knowledge. Introduction of learning technologies, such as synchronous and asynchronous electronic learning systems, enable adding new quality to the process of education. Firstly, it is in accordance with contemporary development of the life learning concept, where independent work and good time management are desirable, improving students' skills which help them connect topics covered by different courses and which are preferred by employers. Secondly, it helps students to develop logical way of thinking. Thirdly, it makes pressure on teachers to update their knowledge on daily basis. Finally, it should help teachers create energy given, competent, and self-driven graduates.

Teachers’ Views on Using the Internet As a Learning Tool

Procedia - Social and Behavioral Sciences, 2012

The issue of importing the Internet based information sources into the educational process is a controversial one. The Internet is generally regarded by teachers as a socialization space more than a valuable learning environment. Moreover the information sources posted on the Internet are sometimes questionable as quality and thus hardly usable for educational purposes. Nevertheless, the electronic space is intrinsic to the youngsters' daily life. Despite its shortcomings, it includes sources of information that are easily accessible and diverse in form and authoring. The issue is then about the educational principles and frameworks that allow the teacher to use Internet in education in a controlled and effective manner. The present paper researches the views of secondary school teachers regarding the school effectiveness of the WebQuest technique as a pedagogical frame for active web based learning.

The Role of Digital Classroom in Education: rend and Concept

المؤتمر العلمي الدولي الثاني للدراسات الإنسانية والاجتماعية جامعة فردوسي مشهد, 2023

A vital instrument to foster the long-term goal of high-quality education has developed in the form of digital technologies. The educational system has been found to be significantly impacted by these technologies. The recent COVID-19 Pandemic has strengthened the legitimacy of using digital tools in education. The entire educational system has undergone a paradigm shift as a result of these digital technologies. Along with sharing knowledge, it also serves as a mentor, an assessor, and a co-creator of information. Students' lives have been simpler as a result of educational technology advancements. Nowadays, students prepare presentations and projects utilizing a variety of software and tools rather than pen and paper. The weight of an iPad is not as great as a stack of notebooks. The navigation of an E-book is simpler than that of a holding a book. These techniques contribute to raising research interest. This essay explores and briefly discusses the necessity of digital technologies in education.

CLASSIFICATION OF ELECTRONIC EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES AND THE PRINCIPLES OF DEVELOPMENT AND USE OF FUTURE TEACHERS OF TECHNOLOGIES

2017

Our research is purpoted to provided a classification of electronic learning resources. We considered the principles of the development and use of future teachers of technology modern e-learning resources these include: the principle of interactivity and visualization of educational information; the principle of systematic and structural-functional connectivity; the principle of openness of electronic educational-methodical complex; the principle of integrity and continuity of a didactic cycle. We emphasize that the quality of e-learning resources must meet the needs of modern learning in schools to conduct activities aimed at familiarizing the teachers with the special teaching requirements, which stipulate the use of electronic educational resources in teaching. It can be seminars and workshops where students and teachers explore the requirements for using information technologies in the educational process: psycho-pedagogical, technical, ergonomic, health, design and the like.

Pedagogical and Andragogical Teaching and Learning with Information Communication Technologies

2012

No one will disagree with the fact that information communication technology (ICT) characterizes current society. To say that a new technology comes into our lives every day and that we are living with technologies that were unimaginable ten and even five years ago is not an exaggeration. As numerous technologies increasingly become essential to our lives (e.g., smart phones, internet, etc.) education professionals are facing daily challenges selecting and applying a technology to be used most appropriately and effectively in their profession, viz., teaching and administering students. In addition, in current educational environments, pedagogy (i.e., art and science of teaching children) and andragogy (i.e., art and science of teaching adults) are not mutually distinguishable. School teachers sometimes borrow andragogical models to teach children by accepting the constructivist teaching approach (e.g., teacher's role as facilitator, learner's self evaluation, etc.). On the other hand, educators in higher educational institutes often use pedagogical teaching methods to teach adult students (e.g., teacher as a knowledge dictator, criterion referenced test, etc.). These two approaches are often mixed and used in a course. In other words, educators select and follow one of the two perspectives not according to the age of learners as the definitions of the two terms imply, but rather by the learning content, context of learning environment and the culture of the learners. However, education professionals occasionally fall into trouble using the two approaches freely and appropriately when they teach whether in online or in traditional environment. Taking these situations into account, the Pedagogical and Andragogical Teaching and Learning with Information Communication Technology written by V. C. Wang, P. M. Golubski, L. Farmer, and J. Parker, could function as a lighthouse for education professionals.
