International Journal of Scientific Research in Science, Engineering and Technology, 2019
The main purpose behind this project is “Drunk driving detection”. Now a day, many accidents are happening because of the alcohol consumption of the driver or the person who is driving the vehicle. Thus, drunk driving is a major reason of accidents in almost all countries all over the world. Though there are laws to punish drunken drivers they cannot be fully implemented. Because traffic police cannot stand on every road to check each and every car driver or bike whether he/she has drunker not. This can be a major reason for accidents. So, there is a need for a effective system to check drunken drivers. Therefore, this study proposed an efficient technique for eradicating the upsurge in the number of cases of roads accidents caused by excessive intake of alcohol by the drivers.
Design and implementation of an alcohol detection driver system
A technology called an alcohol detection driver system is used to stop drunk driving by identifying alcohol in a motorist's breath or blood. This technology correctly measures the amount of alcohol a driver has in their system using sensors and algorithms, and it stops the car from starting if the amount is more than the legal limit. The number of fatal accidents and traffic fatalities caused by drinking could be greatly decreased thanks to this technology. The main focus of this project is to carry out the experiment in lowering the number of alcohol-related incidents on the road. Alcohol detection devices come in a variety of forms right now, including ignition interlocks, passive alcohol sensors, and in-car breathalyzers. Although these systems have reduced the number of drunk driving accidents, there remain questions about their efficiency, dependability, and cost. According to the sensor's specs, the output voltage of the MQ-3 sensor reduces by 69% during the sensor's recovery period of 30 seconds at 69% of baseline resistance. To assess the long-term viability and efficiency of these systems in lowering alcohol-related accidents and enhancing traffic safety, more research is required.
Design and Implementation of In-Vehicle Alcohol Detection and Speed Control System
European Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
This study presented an effective method for reducing the rise in the number of road accidents instigated by drivers' excessive alcohol consumption on Nigerian roadways. Although speed restrictions and other preventative measures have been introduced, traffic accidents continue to occur daily. Over speeding, rash driving and drunk driving are all major contributors to motor vehicle accidents. To introduce this concept, this study has built an IOT-based in-vehicle alcohol detection and speed control system using the Arduino Nano microcontroller connected to the alcohol sensor, LCD display, and DC motor with the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Application and Blynk Cloud Server for remote control and monitoring. This system uses the MQ-3 sensor to continuously monitor the blood alcohol concentration (BAC) and detect the presence of alcohol during breathing. This system can continuously monitor the alcohol content of the driver's breathing by installing a sensor in the steering whee...

Application of the Alcohol Sensor MQ-303A To Detect Alcohol Levels On Car Driver
International Conference on Cyber and IT Service Management (CITSM 2019), 2019
In daily life, humans do all activities that are dense, both heavy and light activities. Of course it will require energy or energy to carry out all these activities. Energy needed by humans can be obtained through the consumption of food and beverages , including food and beverages containing alcohol. Ethanol in alcoholic food and beverages human consumption has been consumed since time immemorial with a variety of different uses. Consumption of large amounts of alcohol will cause someone to be drunk or drunk. In some foods and beverages that are on the market, many contain alcohol, even in small quantities. If alcoholic beverages are consumed continuously in excessive amounts, it can cause acute respiratory failure and death. Because ethanol can eliminate awareness, humans who consume it can do bad deeds that are not realized. Accidents that occur in driving are part of other implications of the abuse of alcohol use. Consumption of alcohol which is too much lowers human performance in driving, so increasing the risk of accident or reduce driver survival chances. About 40% of total deaths that occur in traffic are related to alcohol use. A system for detecting alcohol use is needed by drivers, with the aim of reducing this. This system uses a sensor-based MQ303A microcontroller ATmega328 with GSM module SIM800L. This device uses the programming language C and datalog stored on the server using internet communication.
Alcoholic sensor to side step drunken driving road accidents
International Journal of Advance Research, Ideas and Innovations in Technology, 2019
As for the survey done on the drunken and driving accidents are becoming more day by day. To overcome this issue we can initialize the alcoholic sensor and seat belt sensor to the vehicles. If we place an alcoholic sensor in the vehicles that sensors will identify the percentage of alcohol containing in the body and allow the engine to gets starts if the percentage of alcohol is more than the limit ignition will be blocked by the sensor. To sidestep the drunken driving accidents our proposed work may be useful to society. This system is integrating on the alcohol sensor, seat belt sensor with a microcontroller, relay switch and battery. The alcohol sensor used in our project is MQ-3 which detect the presence of alcohol content in human breath. Vehicle ignition system gets power from the battery through a relay switch. The ignition system will operate based on the level of Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) in human breath detected by the alcohol sensor and if the seat belt is not used then the sensor will not allow microcontroller supply power to spark plug.
Alcohol Detection System in Vehicle Using Arduino
The aim of our research paper is to represent our project which makes human driving safer and to overcome accidents. This project is developed by integrating alcohol sensor with Arduino board. Arduino processor ATmega328 is able to handle more functions than conventional microcontrollers. The alcohol sensor used in this project is MQ3 which to detect the alcohol content in human breath. Since sensor has fine sensitivity range around 2 meters, it can suit to any vehicle and can easily be hidden from the suspects. This project is fitted inside the vehicle. The project is designed for the safety of people sitting inside the vehicle.
Drunk Driving Detection Vehicle Controller
Today every country is facing serious problems with drunken drivers. Drunk driving is the reason behind most of the car accidents. So we are introducing system that will detect drunken driver by alcohol sensor through driver breath fitted on steering in front of driver. This system is aimed at making vehicle driving safer than before. We have derived the driver's condition in real time environment and we propose the detection of alcohol using alcohol detector such that when the level of alcohol crosses a permissible limit, the vehicle ignition system will turn off and the GPS module will capture the present location of the vehicle. Also the GSM module will automatically send distress message to police or family members. It has a smart electronic system which continuously monitors the alcohol content in the air surrounding by the body of the protagonist. Speed of the vehicle varies on the content of alcohol detected. Vehicle based countermeasure system progressively monitors the speed locking system of the vehicle running from high (100kmph), medium (60-80kmph) and low (40kmph) which helps the driver to reach destination safely. In extreme situations the system disables the vehicle by switching off the ignition. The Global Positioning System (GPS) captures the location and sends information to the authorities with the help of a Global System for Mobile (GSM) device with the onetime password. Only after the password is entered the vehicle can be restarted. In the back end, all the riding circumstances, amount of alcohol detected, vehicle speed and the location is uploaded into web server automatically and accurately as soon as the sign of alcohol detected for investigation purpose. All the functions in the project are carried out with the help of ARM 7 based LPC 2148 microcontroller. This paper talks about vehicle accident prevention by using methods of alcohol sensor banded together as a team in an effort to reduce traffic accidents.
