Influence of Human Capital Management and Characteristics of Organizational Culture on Employee Performance at Pt. Bank Sumut Syariah Medan, Katamso Branch

This research uses quantitative research methods. The population in this study were employees of PT. Bank SUMUT Syariah Medan Katamso Branch with samples taken as many as 30 respondents. The sampling technique in this research is purposive sampling. The data collection method used a questionnaire method which was measured using a Likert scale. The analytical method used in this study is the classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, multiple correlation analysis, and hypothesis testing using SPSS. The results of this study indicate that Human Resource Management and Organizational Culture have an effect on employee performance. Based on the results of the determination test, the Adjusted R Square value of 0.547 means 54.7%, so it can be concluded that there is a direct relationship between the variables of Human Capital Management, Organizational Culture Characteristics, and Performance Personnel. R Square value of 0.578 (57.8%) the independent variables of Human Capital Management and Organizational Culture Characteristics simultaneously have an effect of 57.8% on the dependent variable, namely Employee Performance, while the rest is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.

Culture - a Factor That Determines the Entrepreneurial Behavior

The term "culture" refers to a common set of beliefs and values shared by a social group. In the sphere of culture we can find symbols, norms, laws, values, rituals, myths and also behaviors that can influence the enterprises' performance. In this paper we made a research based on a number of 50 Romanian entrepreneurs from which we wanted to see if they consider that there is a relationship between the entrepreneurial culture and the human behavior. As a conclusion of the research, we can say that culture has a great impact on entrepreneurial behaviors within each type of enterprise.

Harmonious Culture-Based Computer Application Model to Assess Microfinance Institution Performance

Correct performance assessment is essential to determine the health of microfinance institution. Various tools are used to measure the performance, among others, financial ratio and service. Those tools refer mostly to commercial bank standard that has different market orientation. The research aimed to assess non-financial performance using harmonious culture designed into a computer application model. Exploratory sequential mixed methods research design used to build the model. Data were collected through in-depth interview with the head of microfinance institutions to build instrument survey and then conducted interpretation to build the model. The qualitative study result indicates that non-financial performance in form of risk management and general management had been legitimated by harmonious culture. The quantitative study result found five dimensions of risk management used in building the model. Those dimensions were credit quality, collateral quality, customary rules, traditional leaders, and belief to karma law. The dimensions had a significant influence on performance. General management consisted of prayer buildings construction, religious activities, facilities and infrastructures construction, cultural festivals, funerals, wedding ceremony, education, health, art groups, and business groups had influence on performance. The model developed could facilitate the non-financial performance calculation. The non-financial performance assessment model could be developed according to the existing environment. Microfinance institution administrators had a new alternative to assess performance that is easier to understand by the employees.

The Role of Tri Hita Karana Culture as Moderating the Effect of Competence on Business Performance through Competitive Advantage

Performance is an important factor in the survival of MSME actors. The small business sector in Bali is in dire need of continuous performance so that the welfare of business actors can be sustainable. Culture is the thing that distinguishes each region in carrying out its business ethics, by adhering to culture, a sector that is solid in maintaining a green environment, human relations and God. This study wants to examine the moderating role of Local Wisdom (Tri Hita Karana) on Competence and Business Performance of small businesses. Quantitative method is used with purposive sampling technique of 86 samples from the Slovin formula. Moderation Local wisdom provides a competency boost to performance. The existence of caring for the environment, others and adhering to God's teachings, norms and responsibilities become greater.

Organisational Culture and Human Capital Development in First Bank Nigeria Plc

The study investigated the effect of organizational culture on human capital development. The study adopted the survey method and Pearson Correlation Coefficient and Multivariate Regression Model was used to analyse the hypotheses. The instrument used in data collection was a structured questionnaire and statistical techniques of Pearson product correlation coefficient to determine the impact on human capital development in First Bank. The finding of this study shows that organizational culture will positively but insignificantly influence human capital development practice in terms of staffing, career development and compensation. The study recommends that it is important for practicing managers to take cultural factors into account in formulating human capital development policy across the country. There should an alternative management science that is based on Nigerian values. Relationship between Human Capital and National Culture

The paper presents an insight into the relationship between the dimensions of national culture defined by Hofstede and human capital (hc) measured by the Global Human Capital Index (ghci) regularly measured by World Economic Forum. The study is based on the data available on the Internet. Statistical analysis was performed on the sample of 89 countries presenting a regression model which shows that a significant positive relationship exists between the Long Term Orientation versus Short Term Normative Orientation (lto), Individualism versus Collectivism (idv) and Masculinity versus Femininity (mas) on the side of national culture and ghci as the indicator on the side of the hc. Besides, in the study, we recognize groups of countries with similar cultures which may be positively or negatively related to the hc, its development and deployment, that may also act as a mediator affecting the economic performance of a country. The findings of the study give an insight into factors that may affect long term performance not just of a country but also business organisations in a country. We believe that individualism, long-term orientation and minimisation of excessive competition in a society or an organization may be of great importance.

The Knowledge of Culture Create Good Entrepreneurs in the Business World

Three hundred years ago, societal, cultural and geographic situations were different. The information took time to travel within the society, state, country and around the world. The thought process regarding their business, progress and innovation were very limited. The Indian family structure was like a Banyan tree. The family members were nurtured automatically through elderly protection. The entrepreneur was the part of the family and society at large. The transfer of knowledge regarding family business was popular and the learning process was by observation. What is acceptable, and what is not; what is societal of value, and what is not; safe and sustainable decided by the norms of basic requirement. The knowledge of culture helps the entrepreneurs to understand the requirement of people and their traditional necessities time and opportunities both. The human requirements are the basic mother of innovation and new research. The new ideas give the birth of an entrepreneur. This paper will analyze the successes of business through practical knowledge of culture and add value to the products. It challenges norms and realigns expectations, often with a willful disregard for future consequences as it embraces disruption and change, again leading to a disparity between aspirations to do good and a desire to disrupt.

The Impact of Training and Development on Different Cultural Employees Performance through Interaction Employees Motivation in Erbil Public and Private Banks

The research endeavor to inspect the effectiveness of "training and development" (TD) on employee performance (EP), an outcome acquired from the examination, along these lines, could be extrapolated and connected to the training incline that exists within banks that work in Erbil Kurdistan region government (KRG). The procedure was in four banks of both sectors i.e. open and private. The outcomes were acquired by utilizing structural equation modeling (SEM-PLS) on important factors by Algorithm to measure indicators in reflective way ; the R2 results 0.604 employees motivation (EM), and 0.639 (EP). The goal of the examination is to seek factors affecting employee's performance. Therefore, the findings proposed that (TD) of employees work environment, and employee's creativity has a most significant effect on enhancing employee's performance. Past research has shown a close connection between organizational culture and effectiveness, but nearly all of this research has examined the direct effects of culture on performance outcomes. In contrast, this article examines the idea that the effects of cultural consistency on organizational performance may differ depending on the levels of other culture traits. Data from 88,879 individuals in 137 public companies using the Denison Organizational Culture Survey were paired with three objective measures of organizational performance and used to examine the interaction effects of consistency with mission, adaptability, and involvement. Consistency shows a significant positive interaction with all three traits in predicting market-to-book ratios and sales growth. Firms that are both consistent and adaptable, for example, are high performers. In contrast, the results show a significant negative interaction when predicting return on assets.
