The prevailing Covid-19 pandemic situation resulting in countrywide lockdown had interrupted the traditional face-to-face method of teaching and had forced the teachers and students to stay at home. Closure of all educational institutes has forced us to think of alternative ways to continue the teaching-learning process. The education sector is undergoing a digital transformation in the present times. To make productive use of this period for the bright future of students, educators and academicians across the nation have been making efforts to engage students in the online teaching learning process. E-learning refers to all types of learning facilitated and supported through the use of ICT. ICT implies those technologies which consist of the information that transfers through the communication channel. ICT in education is any hardware and software technology that contribute to educational information processing. In the lockdown period, both the students & teachers have to access knowledge via ICT to keep pace in the current information society. ICT reduces the barrier of social distancing as well as the impact of shut down on the education sector with the help of digital transformation in the Indian education system. So many national & international Webinars, Faculty Development Program, Workshop, Symposium, Quize, etc have been organised by different institutions with the help of ICT. In the lockdown period, both the students & teachers have to access knowledge via ICT to keep pace in the current information society To realise and explore the role of ICT tools that will improve the online teaching learning process during and after lockdown is the main objective of this study. Hopefully, this article will be sensitize the stakeholder, the students, the teacher, and policymakers to originate path-breaking strategies to handle unprecedented challenges.

The existence of technology, especially in education, is an undeniable fact; especially technology can transform education into more innovative and creative and provide solutions when various crises, including pandemics, disrupt the educational journey. The author believes that it is better to examine various critical literature in answering the above problems. The Education system in India underwent a major change due to the sudden lockdown announced by the Government in view of COVID – 19 pandemic. Both teachers and students had to shift to online mode in a very short time period. The present study analysis the positive and negative aspect of this online mode of education and measures adopted by teachers to maintain the flow of education along with attendance. The sur- vey was conducted at JSS Academy of Technical Education, Noida. More than 100 teachers and students participated in the survey conducted. Also experienced faculty came up with sug- gestions and ideas to improve the online mode of education in view of such pandemic situations. Around the world, the system of education has been severely impacted by the corona virus pandemic .It had imposed the world wide lockdown and lead to the shutdown of educational institutes and halted all the educational activities in India. Lockdown restrictions had lead all the educational institutions to opt for online learning which was the only source of education during pandemic but on the other hand both the stake holders had to face many challenges like physical distraction, lack of communication, technical issue, mental issue and wellbeing, lack of resources etc as it was the new experience and practice for both the learners and teachers. The goal of current study is to comprehend and investigate the difficulties that stakeholders encountered when adjusting to online instructions during the corona virus .It implies less engagement of learners and teachers in the teaching-learning process. This paper is based on examining of secondary sources of data like research papers, journals, websites etc.

Today we are living in a society which suffers through the outbreak of COVID-19. It made a huge impact throughout the world in terms of infection and death rate. Due to this, our whole country (India) is under lockdown from March 24, 2020. It brings new changes in different sectors of our society starting from education, economy, health, transportation etc. Before this pandemic, use of modern technology is very limited in our educational institutions. During this pandemic period, our educational institutions started using different technologies so that students should not miss their education which they are expecting of.
