Most of lowland rice farms in East Java are small scales and managed individually. It leads to diverseproductivity, economically inefficient, and less competitive. An assessment was conducted in wet season2000/2001 with its objective of finding farmers empowerment model through the “Corporate Farming” model in aspecific location in accordance with the agreement of farmers’ groups. The study involved two farmers’ groups ofSido Mukti and Sido Makmur in Bintoyo village, Padas sub district, Ngawi district, in an irrigated land area of 100hectares. The control was Marsudi Tani farmers’ group in the same district. Results showed the farmers could notaccept “Corporate Farming” model, especially in centralized land management and land consolidation. Implementation of Corporate Farming Program on Rice Farming (Case Study on Farmer Group Semangat 45)

The Corporate farming is a form of economic cooperation from a group of farmers with an agribusiness orientation through consolidation of expansive land management (Department of Agriculture, 2000). Spirit 45 Farmers Corporation Program which is located in Kel. Panrannuangku, Kec. North Polongbangkeng, Kab. Takalar which has focused on rice commodities since 2018 but in the field shows that the implementation of the program has not run optimally, therefore a study is needed to thoroughly understand the implementation of the program as an improvement material for further implementation or for the replication process in other areas. This study uses descriptive analysis to see the performance of all stakeholders involved in implementing the program. The results of the study show that the activities are not in line with the concept of integrated areas and corporations, farmers still carry out activities as individuals who are only responsible for their cultivated land and corporations have not been able to become institutions that are extensions of farmers' hands.

Corporate Farming for Farmer Labor Efficiency in Trimulyo Village, Bantul Regency

Agriculture is one of the dominant sectors in the economic structure in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. This is because the agricultural sector contributes to meeting food needs and the supply of industrial raw materials. The corporate farming (CF) program located in desa Trimulyo, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta is one of the empowerment programs for farming communities by farming in groups. Impact of Establishing a Farmer Cooperative to Reach the Welfare of Farmers in Indonesia

Farmer cooperative, a priority program that must be realized to improve the welfare of farmers who are the main support for economic growth in facing challenges, during COVID-19 pandemic. The problem in Indonesia is that most farmers only have a narrow farming scale or less than 0.5 ha, it is almost im possible for farmers to organize themselves effectively and efficiently. For this reason, the research aims to analyze the extent to which the interests of farmers' corporations in improving the welfare of farmers. The research method is sourced from relevant stakeholders from the farmer level to the government, using a SWOT analysis and supporting secondary data, which was carried out in Demak Regency, Central Java Province. The results show that the rice farmer corporations in Demak Regency started from the Citra Kinaraya Multipurpose Cooperative (KSU) as a Primary Cooperative with its main business being the cultivation and marketing of specially packaged rice. Some of the products that have been produced include brown rice, black rice, milky rice and genki rice (mix) with a rice production capacity of around 40-50 tons/month. This capacity has only reached about 5% of the production target of around 875-1000 tons of special rice per month, which is produced from a harvested area of 18-20 ha•day. Currently the Citra Kinaraya Multipurpose Cooperative is developing into a Provincial Primary Cooperative by consolidating farmers outside the District of Demak, like District of Kudus, Grobogan, Banyumas, Sragen, Semarang and Purworejo. In 2020, it has been initiated that this corporation will become a Farmer Corporations Major Project implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture involving Ministries/Agencies and Local Governments and serve as a benchmark in developing 345 Farmer Corporations until 2024.

Factors Influencing the Paddy Farmers’ Intention to Participate in Agriculture Takaful

Agriculture is an economic sector that is exposed to an array of risks such as climate change, pest's attack, disease and others. In its attempt to sustain and protect this sector, the Malaysian government in its budget 2013 has initiated an insurance plan to help farmers reduce losses resulting from natural disasters. Hence, this research aims to investigate the relationship between Attitude, Subjective Norms, Perceived Behaviour control, Perceived risk and Intention to participate in Agriculture Takaful. Apart from this, the research also aims to explore the risks faced by farmers as well as to analyze the farmers need to participate in this risk management plan. 120 respondents which comprise paddy farmers in Selangor and Kedah participated in this survey. Stratified random sampling is used to measure the attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavioural control, perceived risk and intention to participate in Agriculture Takaful. Pearson correlation is used to measure the relationship between variables. The results indicate that the severity of risks and most frequently experienced by farmers' is caused by pests attack. Furthermore, the findings also explained that perceived risk and perceived behavioural control are the significant factors that influence farmers' intention to participate in Agriculture Takaful. Findings from the study would be beneficial to Takaful operators, relevant ministries and policy makers to materialize the implementation of an Agriculture Takaful plan for this sector.

Farmers' behavior indicates someone already knows good knowledge, attitude and skills in rice farming activities. the purpose of this study is the influence of socio-economic factors on the behavior of farmers in rice farming. This research was conducted on 21 September - 10 November 2019 in Sumber Kulon Village, Jatitujuh District, Majalengka Regency, West Java. The method used in this study is a survey with 240 respondents. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and interviews, while data analysis techniques using descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The revitalization of farmer organizations has become the central paradigm in agricultural development. In Indonesia, increasing farmer participation in farmer groups, associations and cooperatives is the strategy to revitalize farmer organizations. This study aimed to determine the factors influencing farmers' participation in farmer groups, associations and cooperatives. This study employed data from the Sugarcane and Tobacco Plantation Farm Household Survey in 2014, consisting of 8,831 (70.73%) sugarcane farmers and 3,645 (29.27%) tobacco farmers. Logistic regression analysis was used to identify the factors contributing to farmers' participation in each organization. The results showed that harvest area, access to extension and contract farming positively affect farmers’ participation in organizations. The purpose of this study to determine the level of participation, identify the factors that influence the participation of farmers and to analysis the effect of participation in the Scholars develop village or Sarjana Membangun Desa (SMD) program. The research was conducted on a group of beef cattle in the SMD program Bantul Yogyakarta Province. Primary data were collected by survey method using questionnaire interviews on 8 SMD groups consisting of 42 members. Partnership is an alliance between two or more parties within an agreed period of time to form a cooperative bond in order to achieve benefits for all parties. This study aims to identify the level of interest and satisfaction of rice farmers with the partnership. The research was carried out in Pamarican District, Ciamis Regency from July to September 2021. The location was chosen purposively with consideration of the implementation of a partnership between rice farmers and PT. Mitra Desa Pamarican (PT. MDP) in Pamarican District. The study used a qualitative approach with the number of respondents as many as 40 farmers involved in the partnership process. The level of interest and satisfaction of farmers with the partnership program was identified with a Likert scale (four scales) and analysis using an interactive model analysis mode covering the process of data collection, data reduction and drawing conclusions. The score of the interests (expectations) of farmers towards the partnership ranged from 3,256 to 3,641 in the important category. The attributes of farmers' interests to the partnership with the highest value are the provision of production facilities (Attribute 4), assistance in handling pests and diseases (attribute 5), and assistance in farming costs (Attribute 8). The average score of farmer satisfaction with the partnership program is 2,459 with the classification quite satisfied. The partnership attributes that have the highest satisfaction are farm cost assistance (Attribute 8) with a score of 3,256, skill improvement/extension (Attribute 3) with a score of 2,769, and timeliness of farming costs (Attribute 9
