Abstract

Laparoscopic liver resection has not yet gained wide acceptance among hepatic surgeons, mainly because of the difficulties encountered in dealing with possible intraoperative bleeding. A new technique of laparoscopic liver resection is presented. A 43-year-old man with a large and symptomatic hemangioma underwent a laparoscopic radiofrequency energy–assisted liver resection.
