This Toolkit is designed to help everyone working with children and young people with special educational needs (SEN). It provides practical day-today guidance on the same matters as the Code and therefore should be read in conjunction with the SEN Code of Practice. 2. Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan deskripsi bagaimana manajemen pendidikan inklusi melalui program Special Education Needs (SEN) di SD Buin Batu Sumbawa Barat yang mencakup perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengawasan dan evaluasi yang efektif. Yoga, a mind-body practice, is a potentially promising physical activity that has positive effects in human health and aging. A complete knowledge of these effects remains a prerequisite for attaining optimum health and functional aging. The study determined the quality of knowledge of effects of yoga in health and aging as possessed by health educators in universities of Nigeria. The study was guided by five research questions and four null hypotheses. Relevant literature on the effects of yoga in health and aging was properly reviewed and documented. Using descriptive method, a total of 300 health educators was conveniently sampled and studied. Data collection was done using a four-point knowledge scale questionnaire. The descriptive statistics was employed for qualitative data analysis. The result showed that the quality of knowledge of effects of yoga in health and aging as possessed by health educators in universities of Nigeria was adequate. The study also showed that the quality of knowledge of the above phenomenon differed based on demographic variables of gender, location, years of working experiences and educational qualification. Statistically, it was found that significant differences exist between variables of gender and educational qualification while none existed on location and years of working experiences. In conclusion, the quality of knowledge possessed by health educators in diverse fields of health and aging promotion as well as lifestyle modification is indeed reflecting in all domains via: cognitive, affective and psychomotor. This however, defined the worth of the training, skills, exposures and professional competences as well as programmes and prospects put in place for their professional development.
Introduction. The Development and Personal Growth competency of medical students is relevant for their integral formation, so it has been important to include it in the curriculum. The purpose of this research is to describe the characteristics of this competency in students from the first year of the career of medicine in the middle of the school year and identify if any of the components of this factor influence his/her performance in school. Methodology. It is a descriptive and comparative study carried out with students from the first year medical school. Using a Likert type eleven-scale questionnaire (self-esteem, self-awareness, commitment, creativity, resilience and coping, self-criticisms and, optimism, empathy, commitment, assertiveness and leadership, Teamwork, social and interpersonal skills). Main findings. Less than a third of the students reported "always" or "usually" behaviors that account for a proper development in all of the eleven scales. Women obtained better scores than men in most of the scales of personal growth and development. Students from private educational institutions obtained higher scores self-awareness and emotional expression, on this scale than from public schools, and they obtained higher academic results. Conclusions and its significance. Taking into consideration the above, the purpose of this study is to associate these studied factors with one of the competencies "Development and Personal Growth". It is very important that students who are going through this period receive support by not only Mental Health Programs, but by their teachers, that can participate by understanding and helping their students in these situations. So getting to know these weak links in the growth and development of our students may help us to develop strategies to improve cognitive, procedural skills and attitudes necessary for their professional life.
