THE VELOCITY CONTROL OF THE ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC SERVO SYSTEM
In general two basic methods are used for controlling the velocity of a hydraulic cylinder. First by an axial variable-displacement pump for controls flow to the cylinder. This configuration is commonly known as a hydrostatic transmission. Second by proportional valve powered by a constant-pressure source, such as a pressure compensated pump, drives the hydraulic cylinder. In this study, the electro-hydraulic servo system (EHSS) for velocity control of hydraulic cylinder is investigated experimentally and its analysis theoretically. Where the controlled hydraulic cylinder is altered by a swashplate axial piston pump or by proportional valve to achieve velocity control. The theoretical part includes the derivation of the mathematical model equations of combination system. Velocity control system for hydraulic cylinder using simple (PID) controller to get constant velocity range of hydraulic cylinder under applied external variable loads. An experimental setup is constructed, which consists of the hydraulic test pump unit, the electro-hydraulic proportional valve unit, the hydraulic actuator unit , the external load control unit and interfacing electronic unit. The experimental results show that PID controller can be achieve good velocity control by variable displacement axial piston pump and also by proportional valve under external loads variations.
Hydraulic Position Control System With Variable Speed Pump
ASME 2009 Dynamic Systems and Control Conference, Volume 1, 2009
In this study, a valveless energy saving hydraulic position control servo system controlled by two pumps is investigated. In this system, two variable speed pumps driven by servomotors regulate the flow rate through a differential cylinder according to the needs of the system, thus eliminating the valve losses. The mathematical model of the system is developed in MATLAB Simulink environment. A Kalman filter is applied to reduce the noise in the position feedback signal. In the test set up developed, open loop and closed loop frequency response and step response tests are conducted by using MATLAB Real Time Windows Target (RTWT) module, and test results are compared with the model outputs. α Non-dimensional valve opening β Offset speed ratio γ Area ratio Ψ Conversion factor between the desired sum pressure and pump speed
Design and Development of Speed Control of Hydraulic Motor
This study is about Hydraulic Power Pack in hydraulic system Hydraulic drives and controls have become more important due to automation and mechanization. A large number of the advanced and incredible machineries are controlled partly or totally by hydraulics. Hydraulic system is less convoluted and has less moving parts. Today drive and control framework designing is unfathomable without hydraulics. Hydraulic Power Pack gives energy to the activities of the water driven framework, likewise moves the liquid through the framework, gives a protected greatest framework working pressing factor, and furthermore helps with keeping up the liquid temperature and tidiness. Water driven Power Pack is chosen by Pressure range, ostensible force and Size of tank different boundaries.
Velocity Control of Water Hydraulic Motor
Proceedings of the JFPS International Symposium on Fluid Power, 2002
Two simple velocity control systems of a water hydraulic motor are experimentally compared in this study; one with commercial pressure compensated proportional flow control valve and another with parallel-connected low-cost on/off solenoid valves. The aim of the study is to define suitability of these control techniques in a system where good velocity control accuracy is a significant requirement.
Engineering Studies of The Control Structure of Electro-Hydraulic Pumps And Variable Axial Pistons
International Journal of Scientific & Technology Research, 2012
Pumps are often used in both industrial applications and mobile hydraulic machinery. In variable displacement pumps, the flow rate is dictated by the system requirements. The electro-hydraulic pump is a new integrated product, which comprise the combination of a pump and motor as a unit replacing the traditional connection with a shaft coupling. The pump is actuated without a rotating shaft utilizing a piston pump embedded in the motor. This brings with it some added advantages such as easy installation, reduction of noise in the system and decrease in power loss. In operation, the piston pump body is placed in the motor rotor, the air gap between the rotor and motor stator is filled with hydraulic oil, the rotor is directly rotated in the hydraulic oil and the control of the pressure and flow is achieved by means of the mechanical adjustment at the pressure valve. Electro-hydraulic systems with volumetric control offer a lot of advantages for pumping, due to the use of axial piston...
Research on Pump Speed Control System Based on Fuzzy PID
Mechanics
In this paper, based on MATLAB/simulink, the PID vector frequency conversion control of permanent magnet synchronous motor has better drive control performance in the multi-stage centrifugal pump speed control system. The electric-hydraulic coupling system of centrifugal pump has a good evaluation and research function. In view of the low efficiency of the traditional PID control method and the poor adaptability to the change of working environment, a vector control method of permanent magnet synchronous motor based on adaptive and self-adjusting fuzzy control principle is proposed for the speed regulation system of water pump. The simulation results show that the PMSM system controlled by the fuzzy PID controller is superior to the traditional PID control, and has better disturbance resistance, dynamic and steady performance.
The present work is directed to develop the dynamic performance of an electro-hydraulic proportional system (EHPS). a mathematical model of (EHPS) is presented using electrohydraulic proportional valve (EHPV) by the aim of Matlab-simulink which facilitate the simulation of the hydraulic behavior inside the main control unit. Experimental work is done and closed loop system is designed using linear variable displacement transducer sensor (LVDT). The controller of the system is an Arduino uno which is considered as the processor of the system. The model is validated by the experimental system. The study also presents a real time tracking control method based on pulse width modulation by controlling the speed of the actuator to achieve position tracking with minimum error.
