Education in Indonesia is the main element to develop Indonesian people. One of Education problem that happens in Indonesia is there are many children in primary school age who drop out of school. We can find it in Marga Kaya Village, Jati Agung sub-district. In this village, there are many children who drop out of primary school age. The objective of this research is to find out and analyze the causes of dropping out primary school age children, in Marga Kaya Village, Jati Agung District. This research is a type of descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews, observation and documentation and data analysis used in this study is a descriptive analysis of the percentage. THE IMPACT OF MULTIPLE FACTORS ON DROPOUT TREND IN GOVERNMENT PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN DISTRICT MARDAN
This descriptive research study examined the class wise dropout trend in Government Primary schools in District Mardan and also investigated the impact of multiple factors on dropout phenomenon. Systems analysis was used as the theory basis of this study, using the adaptation of Coombs-Zwaenepoel Systems Model as a framework. A stratified random sample of 200dropouts, their parents / guardians out of 3413dropouts and 80 School Head Teachers selected through simple randomization. Data were collected through Survey and Questionnaires. Survey was used to collect data regarding enrolment, dropouts and dropout rate. The researcher administered three different questionnaires on sampled dropouts, their parents / guardians and School Head Teachers to gather their perceptions regarding the impact of multiple factors on dropout phenomenon. For demographic profile, percentages were used to determine dropout rates. Chi square was applied to find association between various responses. Two separate interview protocols were designed to verify and supplement the data gathered through Questionnaires. The study showed an increasing dropout trend from Pakki to class 3 but it considerably falls in class 4. The dropout rate rises to its peak to 6.49% in class 5. The perceptual analysis of the responses of the Questionnaires revealed that the factors are divided into three main categories: institutional problems and procedures; school based factors, home based factors and community factors. Poverty prevents parents from sending their children to school.The study recommended that: the Teachers’ training may be focused to enhance teacher’s competency to retain students in schools; Academic monitoring system may be introduced; Strategies may be adopted to reduce frequent absenteeism of students from school; Mass mobilization campaigns may be launched for motivating parents for the schooling of their offspring; Stipends may be given to the poor students; Special schooling arrangements may be made for the children of migrating families; Individualized teaching strategies may be introduced for slow learners; Pleasant school systems may be introduced with attractive delivery methods. Prevalence, Causes and Prevention of Primary School Dropout in Gurage

The primary purpose of this study was to explore the Prevalence, Causes and Prevention of Primary School Dropout in Gurage Zone, Ethiopia. To achieve this objective, the research used descriptive survey research design to gather data from 24 primary schools distributed in 6 districts and 2 City administrations in Gurage Zone. The samples consist of primary school principals, school teachers, district education officers, Parent-Teacher Association members (PTA), dropout students and Zonal education office experts. Questionnaire, interview and document analysis were the data collection tools. The data analysis, interpretation and discussion of the findings indicated the prevalence of school dropout is severe in the study area with average of 5.6% dropout rate, but ranging up to 13.59 % dropout rate. The factors that contributed to school dropout included students‟ low expectation on future success and benefits of education, migration to urban area, poor school environment and parents‟ need of child labor.

Drop out of children from school is among the social evils that hinder the development of the nation. Education is the fundamental factor of change and social development which is affect by the evil of drop out. Pakistan in general and rural societies in particular where the lack of check and balance of the parents in one side and other socioeconomic and political factors on other side effect schooling of children and encourage the customs of drop out. In this regard this research activity investigates the various aspects of drop out in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The data has been collected with the help of interview schedule while the respondents has been selected using convenient sampling technique. The collected data has been analyzed with the help of SPSS version (16) in Univariate and Bivariate method. The findings of the study conclude that strict culture and patriarchy system in Pukhtoon deny girls education which is raising children dropout. The culture and tradition of a society have a significant influence on education. The strict cultural norms obstruct education in a way it resist change in the last it is suggested that already existing environment of misunderstanding respective generation should be eliminated by a social debate based on mental understanding. The teacher should be more congenial in delivering his lecture to students.

This study was conducted to assess the causes, experience and Mitigating mechanism of school dropout among primary school students in Benchi-Maji zone Shey Bench Wereda. The study mainly attempted to answer research questions like the major reason that leads students' to drop out, the experiences of dropouts while they were out of school and mitigating mechanism of school dropout. The study adopted a qualitative research approach, and non-probability sampling techniques were used to identify participants of the study. Abstract The impact of dropouts on the Socio- economic situation of the country as a whole is very high and the issue requires immediate action. The reason for dropout is complex and varies from situation. The main cause of school dropout is perceived to be economic reasons The Indian Social mindset is such that children are treated as bread winners in most low income homes. They need to work in order to increase the family income. Some parents are not interested in education and do not support their children in studying .the quality of education provided, interest school teachers is also factor. After the tragedy of epic proportions in 2004, the Karnataka Government, with NGO assistance, focused on rehabilitating the people of affected on a top – priority basis .Need for the study- Most of the Aland Taluka inhabitants are socio- economically deprived and are daily wagers. Education is a luxury and most opt for earning rather than focusing on education. The objective of the study is to identify the causes for primary school dropouts in Aland Taluka and to provide suggestions/recommendations to reduce the dropout rate. Convenience sampling method is used. sample size- while conducting this study 30 dropout students studying in five different Schools were interviewed .data collection both primary and secondary data are used while conducting this study. The study findings and recommendations could be used by the school administration/ government to motivate the primary students to continue education. Schools exist to develop the cognitive, psychomotor and affective domains of every learner. The main aim is to ensure that exposure to an educational process equips the learners that will enrich their knowledge and skills for future use as individuals and for the benefit of society. Dropout is cause for concern and warrants an in-depth investigation to see the variables that cause it. This study sought to investigate the variables causing dropout in Chivi South primary and secondary schools. The study employed the quantitative paradigm. For data collection, closed questionnaires were used. The major findings were that there is high dropout rate due to orphanage, lack of fees, search for employment in neighbouring countries, parents who place less value on education, early marriages and poor performance at school. The study recommends that the government has to put in place poverty alleviation programmes to capacitate communities with fees payment plans and assist those who live in poverty living conditions. There is need for education campaigns so that some parents who do not value schooling get to know its importance.
Analysis of School Dropout among Secondary School Students: Case of Sammanthurai Education Zone

Education is one of the basic needs as well as a human right. But, dropout is a more serious problem among Sri Lankan students. Therefore, this study was carried out with the aim to examine the causes of school dropout among secondary students of Km/ Str/Sennel Zahira Maha Vidyalaya, Sammanthurai. The study adopted descriptive survey design. Sample size of 80 students were drawn from a total population of 100 students through the random sampling techniques. A questionnaire was used to collect the needed details from the respondents. It includes independent variables: Age, gender, academic achievement, teaching support, family income, family members, motivation parent-child relationship, school environment, and neighbors. While, the dependent variable was: reasons for dropout. The collected data was analyzed by using descriptive method. The result showed that, there is a significant relationship between the dropout and student, family, school, community related factors. Based on the findings of the study, more girls dropped out from school. At the same time lack of parents' education, poverty, home environment, early marriage, and lack of interest in education like so many reasons take more important place in dropping out problems. Though the school pay more concentration, many students are dropping out from school in this rural village. Not only school but also family, community all are try to save the students from this problem with more suitable action and activities.

School drop out among girls is a global phenomenon. Girl child dropout is a serious problem that affects national development. This study sorts to investigate factors that affect girl children's school dropout in Masvingo district. Failure to finish school undermines girls' development resulting in them having a misty future. The study employed the qualitative case study strategy to probe deeply into factors that contribute to girl child school dropout. The participants were purposively selected in order to allow them to provide the information needed to understand the cases of girl child dropout. The study employed questionnaires and interviews to solicit data. The study has revealed that there are a number of factors associated with this phenomenon. Secondary school comes at a particularly vulnerable age for girls as they enter into puberty. The main challenges the study found include poverty, cultural preference in educating boys, teen pregnancy and early marriages.
