THE INFLUENCE OF PRINCIPAL LEADERSHIP AND ENGAGEMENT OF SCHOOL COMMITTEE TO THE EFFECTIVENES IMPLEMENTING SCHOOL-BASED MANAGEMENT (Descriptive Study at Public Elementary Schools in Coblong Sub-district, in Bandung City, Indonesia) By

School-based management (SBM) is a decentralization of decision-making power from central office to local school. Thus, this study is focused on the influence of principal leadership and engagement of school committee which contribute to the SBM effectiveness. It is conducted at public elementary schools in Coblong subdistrict in Bandung. The method used in this study is the descriptive-quantitative approach by giving closed-ended questionnaires to 72 respondents. The study population is 36 public elementary schools. The study results found that: (1) the influence of principal leadership has high impact on the SBM effectiveness; (2) the engagement of school committee has high impact on the SBM effectiveness; (3) both the influence of principal leadership and engagement of school committee have high impact on the SBM effectiveness. Although the results are good, both principal and school committee should more strengthen their key roles and responsibilities for enhancing better school improvement. Abstrak Manajemen berbasis sekolah(MBS) adalah desentralisasi kekuasaan pengambilan keputusan dari kantor pusat ke sekolah lokal. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan keterlibatan komite sekolah yang berkontribusi terhadap efektivitas MBS. Penelitian ini dilakukan di sekolahsekolah dasar negeri di Kecamatan Coblong Bandung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan deskriptif-kuantitatif dengan memberikan kuesioner tertutup berakhir 72 responden. Populasi penelitian adalah 36 sekolah dasar negeri. Studi ini menemukan bahwa: (1) pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah memiliki dampak yang tinggi terhadap efektivitas MBS; (2) keterlibatan komite sekolah memiliki dampak yang tinggi terhadap efektivitas MBS; (3) kedua pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan keterlibatan komite sekolah memiliki dampak yang tinggi terhadap efektivitas MBS. Meskipun hasilnya baik, kepala sekolah dan komite sekolah harus lebih memperkuat peran dan tanggung jawab untuk meningkatkan perbaikan sekolah yang lebih baik.

This study focuses on the study of educational leadership management at the school organization level. The purpose of this study is to analyze leadership management indicators that determine school excellence. This study uses the library research method, namely by collecting relevant data from books, journals, magazines, and so on without having to conduct field reviews. The time of this research was carried out for three months, starting with collecting books and journals, then analyzing the suitability of the research topic and theme with the theme of this research. Based on the results of the analysis of scientific books and journals used in the study, the indicators of leadership management to realize school excellence include: organizational aspects, learning, resources (human and infrastructure), and organizational culture. These indicators are the determinants of school excellence. So school leaders should focus more attention focused on the fulfillment of these indicators.

Schools as educational units have an organizational structure that has their respective functions and roles in running the education system. One of the independent school institutions that work well with parents (community) is called the school committee. One of its roles is to create high achieving schools. This study aims to determine the effect of school committees and parents' associations on elementary school achievement. This research is a quantitative research. The population in this study were principals, school committees, teachers and guardians of elementary school students in Karangsambung District, while the research sample consisted of: 26 principals, 26 teachers, 13 school committees, and 13 student guardians. Data collection using questionnaires and data analysis using Pearson product moment correlation analysis techniques and multiple regression analysis. This study concludes: (1) the role of the school committee has a positive and significant influence on elementary school achievement, (2) the parents' association has a positive and significant influence on elementary school achievement, and (3) the role of the school committee and community of people parents together have a positive and significant influence on elementary school achievement. Therefore, to create the maximum role of school committees in achieving school achievement, it is expected that there will be participation from various parties as an effort to integrate roles through school committees.

Discipline is an important factor to have by all civil servants, especially civil servants in administrative villages (kelurahan) in DKI Jakarta Province in order to provide service to the public. In reality, the problem of discipline still exists sourcing from both the civil servants or the public behaviour. Based on that, this research was conducted to explain what factors affect the discipline of civil servants in administrative villages in DKI Jakarta Province. The theory used in this research is theory of employee discipline. The research used quantitative methods with questionnaire as research instrument and analysed using Rho Spearman Test. Sampling was done using simple random sampling. This study aims to examine the effect of leadership style on employee performance at Wisma Pendawa Ciumbuleuit Bandung. The variables tested in this study consist of leadership style and employee performance. This research method is a descriptive and verification method using a quantitative approach and is grouped in causal research. The population and sample in this study were 37 employees of Wisma Pendawa Ciumbuleuit Bandung. Samples were determined using Saturated Sampling. The data used is primary data collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and literature. To measure the influence of these variables, simple linear regression and the coefficient of determination are used with the help of the SPSS 25 computer application program. Based on the results of data analysis using statistical methods, namely simple linear regression, the coefficient of determination (KD) is 56.9% with a value correlation coefficient of 0.755. Based on these results it can be concluded that leadership style has a positive effect on employee performance at Wisma Pendawa Ciumbuleuit.

Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah Perempuan Dalam Meningkatkan Budaya Sekolah

This study aims to analyze and explain towards the leadership of female principals in improving school culture in Nagan Raya. This study uses a type of descriptive writing with a qualitative approach. The types of data used are primary data and secondary data from various kinds of accurate and scientific sources. Data collection techniques in this study include; indepth interviews, library studies, observation and documentation studies. Data analysis is done with a series of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of the study found that the leadership of female principals in improving school culture in senior high school / equivalent was influenced by several factors such as; (a) emotional intelligence of a school principal, (b) transparency in in school management, (c) kinship approach with school members, (d) to involve all parties of school in making decisions, (e) and continuously provide a good example to all of his subordinates. Furthermore, in implementing leadership to improve a conducive school culture, female principals in Nagan Raya always apply a culture of communication and interaction, religious culture, a culture of cooperation and leadership culture in schools with a blend of local-based decision and the national education system.
