Introduction: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is caused by a novel coronavirus which has not been identified previously in humans. The disease leads to respiratory problems, systemic disorders, and death. To stop the virus transmission, physical distancing was strongly implemented, including working and school from home (WFH & SFH). The limitation altered daily routines and needs advanced to adapt. Despite the conclusion of the pandemic, addressing mental health concerns during disasters remains crucial. Examining the impact of mental health issues in such contexts yields valuable insights for preventing future crises. This study aimed to examine the factors linked to anxiety and depression symptoms among Indonesian adolescents during the COVID-19 pandemic. This was a cross-sectional study. The study utilized an online survey collected from 738 participants from 34 provinces in Indonesia. The participants were asked to provide information on their demographics, social media exposure, self-rated health, GAD-7 scores, and the WHO-5 well-being index. The associations between participant characteristics and depression and anxiety were investigated using independent t-tests, ANOVA tests, and ordinal logistic regression. The majority of the participants were late adolescents, aged 18-21 years old (95%), and female (79.1%). Factors such as gender, self-rated health, and social media exposure were significantly associated with depression and anxiety among adolescents during the COVID-19 pandemic. Male adolescents had a higher risk of depression (OR=0.657, 95% CI=0.476-0.908), while infrequent social media exposure was linked to lower anxiety levels (OR=0.401, 95% CI=0.190-0.847). The study revealed that younger age, female sex, suspected COVID-19 infection, and excessive social media exposure were associated with higher levels of depression and anxiety. To manage depression and anxiety during and after pandemics, it is crucial to provide valid and reliable information and healthcare services, foster social connections, and create supportive environments in households and workplaces.

Introduction: COVID-19 outbreak has caused changes around the world with many polices remade to stop the spread of this virus since it started in 2019. The community psychosocial burden during the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia

Background: Restricting community mobility during COVID-19 can potentially trigger anxiety, depression and stress in the community. The study aims to analyze variables associated with the community psychosocial burden (anxiety level) during the co-19 pandemic in Indonesia. Methods: This study collected data (n ¼ 8,031) online. Psychosocial burden was measured based on the anxiety level which include 5 aspects, such as economic, religious, educational, employment, and social issues. Each question used a Likert scale. Six independent were examined, such as age, gender, religion, marital, education, and employement. In the final stage, a multivariate test was performed using a multinomial logistic regression. Results: Someone older experienced less high anxiety. The age group of 20-29 years was 4,330 times likely to experience higher anxiety than the age group of 50 years. While, those in the age group of 40-49 years weer 2,322 times more likely to have higher anxiety than those in the age group of 50 years. Male respondents had lower possibility of medium to high anxiety than females. Respondents with secondary and lower education had 3,117 times possibilities to experience higher anxiety than those with high education level. Conclusion: Four variables affected the psychosocial burden i.e, anxiety level of community in Indonesia. These involved age, gender, education, and employement.
Stress and anxiety among late adulthood in Indonesia during COVID-19 outbreak

This study analyzes the condition of stress and anxiety in late adulthood in Indonesia during the COVID-19 pandemic based on demographics. The research used quantitative methods with an online survey by survey monkey program involved 669 respondents based on twelve ethnicities in Indonesia. The data of this research analysis by the Rasch analysis model. The results showed generally experienced stress and anxiety in the moderate category although some respondents also experienced stress and anxiety in mild and severe categories, and only a small proportion was in the normal category. The need for continued treatment requires counselors, psychologists, and other relevant therapists.

The Covid-19 pandemic is a circumstance that can trigger anxiety in the community. Anxiety can be harmful to one's mental health. The aim of this research was to determine the factors that influence public anxiety during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study is descriptive correlational research with a cross sectional approach. A total of 96 respondents were involved from three villages with the characteristics of distant, middle, and close to urban areas. Samples from each village were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Public anxiety was measured using the Coronavirus Anxiety Scale. The relationship between variables was analyzed using the Chi-Square Test. The results showed that during the Covid-19 pandemic, most people experienced anxiety (68.8%). Introduction/Aim: The COVID-19 pandemic poses a serious threat to global mental health. Fear of death, social distancing, economic problems, changes in the education system, and cessation of normal daily functioning induce psychiatric disorders, primarily anxiety. The research aimed to determine the influence of sociodemographic factors on the development of anxiety during the COVID-19 pandemic.
