Components of Ease of Doing Business Inferred from Macroeconomic Performance Indicators
JOURNAL OF EDUCATIONAL AND HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT, 2018
This study attempts to find a significant relationship between macroeconomic performance and the Ease of Doing Business indicators. The Principal Components Analysis method was utilized to reduce the macroeconomic performance indicators into fewer dimensions for multinational companies to easily refer to in assessing the business environment and economic performance of a country. Results show that the changes in the principal components can explain 73% of the total variations in the Ease of Doing Business (data to frontier) score. Among the four principal components, 'economic growth' had the highest positive impact on the ease of doing business. However, an adverse effect is expected when 'economic growth' is more than doubled.
Performance Evaluation of Internet Banking Branches via a Hybrid MCDM Model under Fuzzy Environment
In this age of competitive markets, Internet Banking (IB) has attracted much attention from banks, clients, and governments. This study aims to suggest a hybrid model including two techniques, namely the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) and COmplex PRoportional ASsessment of alternatives with Grey relations (COPRAS-G) to evaluate the performance of IB branches. First, the FAHP is used to calculate the importance weight of the seven IB adoption factors, namely usefulness, price, security, complexity, service quality, 7/24 availability, and satisfaction. Subsequently, the COPRAS-G method is utilized to select the best IB branch. For the case study IB branches of four Turkish banks are evaluated. With the use of FAHP method, “security” is the most important factor affecting IB performance and followed by “complexity”. Furthermore, Garanti Bankasi has the best IB branch in Turkey. Consequently, the proposed model provides comprehensive and systematic approach to evaluate the performance of IB branches and can be recommended to banks so that they can improve their IB operations to achieve a higher performance and client satisfaction level under fuzzy environments.

This work intends to assess the evaluation of analytical categories related to the identification of transaction costs. Assuming an analytical model for the identification of the transaction costs proposed by in which categories are discussed in terms of which analyses to be made and how to evaluate them. Amongst these categories, 'opportunism' is assessed in terms of patterns of behavior and measured in terms of confidence. The work supports the use of the fuzzy theory for measuring this category in particular. Through the fuzzy theory, there is the possibility of modeling and manipulate vague and inexact information mathematically, natural of the human language and, therefore, also the information supplied for the specialists when characterizing the considered processes.

The application of information technology in all areas represents a significant facilitation of all business processes and activities. A competitive business system is hardly imaginable without adequate information technology. Therefore, this paper evaluates the conditions for the implementation of barcode technology in a warehouse system of a company for the manufacture of brown paper. SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) matrix was formed with a total of 27 elements based on which the benefits of the implementation of barcode technology in the warehouse system need to be analysed. For this purpose, a new fuzzy PIPRECIA (PIvot Pairwise RElative Criteria Importance Assessment) method has been developed to evaluate all elements in SWOT matrix. In addition, a part of the new developed approach includes new fuzzy scales for criterion assessment that are adapted to the methodology required by the fuzzy PIPRECIA method. To determine the consistency of the method, Spearman...

In connection with the plan of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in 2015, PT. Angkasa Pura II need to improve the performance of SHIA export cargo. While efficiency systems engineering suspected of having ties with the performance. Therefore, it is necessary to test the model with the method of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to ascertain whether efficiency systems engineering (facilities, business process and HR) SHIA export cargo is currently supporting performance. SEM analysis results indicate that the hypothesis is significant or hypothesis is accepted. The existence of some problems and complaints from users SHIA export cargo indicate the gap between user expectations and the assessment of efficiency systems engineering SHIA export cargo. Therefore this study aimed to measure the gap users using Fuzzy ServQual. Fuzzy ServQual analysis results show a gap between the perceptions and expectations of users with a negative value. Indicators that have a high expectation value with a low perception of value is a major concern of researchers in the preparation of improvement plans SHIA export cargo. From the analysis, the researchers included a few suggestions for the improvement of organizer SHIA export cargo as measures to improve the efficiency systems engineering SHIA export cargo. The aim of this study is to propose a fuzzy multi-criterion decision model (MCDM) to evaluate the performance of ATMs of larger Pakistani banks. For this purpose six banks of Pakistani banking sector are examined and evaluated their quality performance in terms of cost-benefit criterions or factors of ATM facility. Fuzzy Technique for order performance by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) is incorporated in the proposed model. Important factors of service quality are evaluated, ranked and graphically depicted. As customer's satisfaction represents a modern approach for quality in different business organizations, so in this study, we transform the decision maker's responses into direct customer's responses. Bank's performance may be evaluated in relation to a set of satisfaction factors that indicates the weak and strong points of business organizations. For this purpose we introduce the survey technique to collect the data of customer's. The study provides i...

Fuzzy Logic based Quality of Service Models
The continuous monitoring of information systems' quality of service increases importance as business becomes more and more dependent of those systems. In order to obtain that view, quality models need to be defined for those systems. Because of its complexity and today modelling frameworks, quality models tend to result in a poor representation of reality, mainly because of their lack of ability to represent uncertainty. In this work, we investigate the use of fuzzy logic's properties to create a new kind of quality of service models, which handles uncertainty and imprecision naturally. The objective is to obtain models that are a better representation of reality and easier to create and understand. This article presents the investigation on related topics to support the identified problem and motivations, followed by a solution proposal and a validation scenario.
