Mainstreaming Religious Values in Islamic Studies Curriculum Development for Multicultural Society

Curriculum development is a continuous process in improving and adjusting the quality and goals of studying and teaching. One challenging process is, however, to prepare a transformed curriculum for different students. This study aims at illustrating curriculum development process of general religious study subject for university students. The curriculum has been adjusted to be delivered for specific Muslim students into multi-religious-background students. Therefore, this process involves mainstreaming of values of religions instead of description of formal rituals. This is a qualitative study that utilizes library research, participant observation, as well as interviews as main source of data collections. The observation has been focused in Tanri Abeng University. The university shares unique characteristics in terms of religious studies and therefore important and functional for kind of comparison. Integration of Islamic Values in Learning

This research on the Development of the Model of Integration of Islamic Values in Learning is a contribution to the thought given to the leaders of the Iqra Islamic Boarding School 'Barung-Koto Pulai Koto XI Tarusan, West Sumatra Province, and the results were presented in and disseminated at the Iqra Islamic Boarding School curriculum development workshop. The point is that curriculum development that is integrated with Islamic values in all subjects in learning is an absolute thing to do in PP Iqra '. To strengthen Islamic values, it becomes the soul of the entire academic community. The critical issue that is accommodated by the curriculum is educators and educators who do not yet understand about the boarding school problems, and this is what encourages leaders to provide guidance specifically through workshops, specialized training on nursing, with the intention of uniting the vision and mission, so that the boarding school program can succeed well. Another support that is no less important is the availability of facilities and infrastructure as well as the components needed in building Islamic boarding schools.

International Journal of Innovative Studies in Sociology and Humanities (IJISSH) The Values of Religious Education at Islamic University as the Ulema Cadre Institution

This research aims to elaborate on the development of the values of religious education in Islamic universities or the Aly As'adiyah as a cadre of religious leaders. The implementation of religious education values in Aly As'adiyah's capacity to print religious leaders in Wajo District, South Sulawesi was developed and the results of implementing religious leaders cadre using a qualitative approach involving as many as 43 people. Informants were selected by purposive sampling method. This research took place from January to March 2019. Analysis of the data used a qualitative descriptive method. The results of the analysis describe that there are only a few Islamic university alumni who can only be said to be religious leaders, both with the anregurutta and gurutta titles. There are three factors supporting the development of the values of religious education in cadre students to become religious leaders in the Aly As'adiyah Islamic College, namely the value of shafi'i religious education; the value of worship education that performs obligatory worship and sunnah worship; and the value of moral education such as sipakatau, sipakalebbi, and sipakainge.

During this time the reality of Islamic education trapped in problem of secularization dichotomy and sacralization education. Religion is define as something that take care of worship which set aside of science and technology. The aim of development integration Islamic value in social science at elementary school is to produce a new text book which give a comprehension to the students that the general science and religion is holistic. It is using Brog and Gall model to determine the success of product development of integration Islamic value of social science in elementary school. It is measured by validity level and effectiveness. The validity level is measured by the result of expert validation and the effectiveness measured by response of the students, process of learning and students learning complete in classical. The result shows the implementation of integration Islamic value and social value able to improve the students understanding, on the other hand, we can get the same result if we apply to the students or school that does not has good understanding of Islam, elementary school I.

Internalización de los valores de los personajes a través de la educación islámica. Un estudio en la Universidad Tanjungpura de Pontianak

Este estudio tiene como objetivo encontrar el concepto de internalizar los valores de los personajes a través de la educación religiosa islámica en la Universidad Tanjungpura de Pontianak. Utilizando el método de investigación Grounded, esta investigación se basa en hechos y utiliza análisis comparativos, cuyo objetivo es mantener generalizaciones empíricas, definir conceptos y probar teorías. Las conclusiones de este estudio son: 1) a través del Decreto del Canciller no. 1540 del 2012 en la Universidad Tanjungpura de Pontianak, la Educación del Carácter está integrada en el tema Religioso, 2) cada estudiante debe seguir la educación del carácter de acuerdo con la religión adoptada, y 3 ) la implementación de la Educación del Carácter necesita ser evaluada y mejorada, de modo que se espera que los valores de 5 caracteres proclamados por GNRM puedan ser internalizados para los estudiantes.

Islamic education is urgent to be applied and implemented in higher educations, especially the one under Ministry of Religious Affairs. It is because of many graduates or students still do not know and apply the Islamic education concept. This study aims to describe and explain the Islamic education concept in Islamic higher educations in Indonesia to construct the student religion character. It was a case study conducted in four Islamic higher educations, namely IAIN Tulungangug, IAIN Ponogoro, IAIN Surakarta, and IAIN Salatiga. The data were obtained by analyzing some institution activities and programs, institution visions, student activities, and student perceptions. They were then analyzed with using interactive analysis technique to identify research problems. The result shows that from vision and mission, the four higher educations have proposed the similar concept, namely developing human resource who have the Islamic character. Besides, programs and facilities provided to achieve vision are building the Student Activity Unit (UKM) that concern on developing Islamic science, building some student center research, and conducting Ma'had Al Jami'ah program. Moreover, the internalization of Islamic education values is also carried out in learning process by lecturers and educators in higher educations to create a religious culture among students.

The study describes the implementation of Islamic teaching at UNP Kediri. This is qualitative in nature. The findings are as follows. Firstly, the teaching materials of Islamic teaching at UNP consist of main topics and some others developed to meet the characteristics of the students. Secondly, the specific competences required are the unity of God, character, and problem solving. Thirdly, the strategies used by the teachers are the flexibility of classroom rules, providing models, and contextual teaching. And fourthly, the evaluation is mainly affective evaluation. Islamic education as part of the national education system has a purpose want to achieve. In the process, Islamic education is inseparable from the problems faced. In the current postmodern era, Islamic education should be used as a forum the seedbed of tolerance to maintain harmony and peace. The Quran and Hadith as the main source of Islamic education must be reinterpreted and integrated with other approaches. One approach that can be integrated is with internalize socio-cultural values in learning. This approach offers a synthesis to deal with the seeds of intolerance that have begun to grow deep this nation's young generation. It is hoped that internalization of these values will be created social harmony that can be used as provisions by young Muslims in life sociable.

Tipologi Kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Islam Pada Sekolah Islam Terpadu ( Sit ) Curriculum Typology of Islamic Religion Education in Integrated Islamic School ( Sit )

In the last ten fifteen years, the Integrated Islamic School (SIT) has grown rapidly. At first this school grew in urban areas, but now it has penetrated into the periphery. One of them is thriving in Tegal Regency. This study aims to determine the typology of the Islamic Education curriculum at the SMP IT in Tegal Regency. This research is a qualitative study with direct observation of three schools. The research findings indicate that the typology of Islamic education curriculum at the SMP IT in Tegal Regency are various. At least there are three variants of SIT, i.e. (1) SIT under the cope of Network of Integrated Islamic School (JSIT) as practiced by SMP IT Luqman Al-Hakim, (2) SIT which follow the course of aswaja as practiced by SMP IT Al-Azhar, and (3) SIT which is Islamic Nationalist, as in SMP IT Bimantara Al-Furqon.
